Andres was terrific in providing comprehensive information about our upcoming trip to Iceland. He made great suggestions about a couple of changes in accommodations that we had scheduled, and had numerous ideas for hikes, special day trips, and a variety of other stuff that we wouldn't have found in a guide book. Super helpful! And a very nice guy.

Our travel advisor Ana Sophia was excellent. She covered all of our questions and logistics for our Lisbon/ Porto trip. She created an itinerary to work with. Her suggestions and local knowledge were crucial. This consult was well worth the investment.

Our guide Lenor did an incredible job with us. We had given a long list of requirements. Lenor had thoroughly researched each one and given recommendations based on her own research and also experience. We left our meeting feeling confident and excited about what was to come. I could not have hoped for more.

An hour with Paolo last week provided us with virtually all the information we will need for the days we will spend in the Puglia region of Italy. He walked me day by day through our schedule and made great recommendations about what to do and what not to do. Since Paolo resides in the area, he was able to give several restaurant suggestions for lunch and dinner. Paolo is a personable guy who was responsive to all of my questions. Following our session, he sent a personalized, interactive map of the region which highlighted things we discussed during our Zoom session. The hour session is well worth the charge and also eliminates hours of searching online looking for travel recommendations. Paolo was outstanding. He was friendly and had a good sense of humour, he is very knowledgeable about his area of expertise, he was good with me recording our zoom session so I could refer back and right after our call, he sent me links to all the places we talked about, and links to interactive maps he has created. This info, even without the pleasure of a 1 hour zoom call with Paolo, was worth the fee.
If you are going to be in Puglia, then I strongly suggest that you start your planning by spending an hour with Paolo on a Zoom call. It will be the best $125 you spent on your adventure.

Found the site online as I was researching to plan an upcoming trip to Puglia. Great info online. And although I am an experienced traveler and had devised my own itinerary on previous trips in France as well as Italy, Puglia seemed like it required a little more planning to avoid driving long distances and also because there is so much to see and do.I decided to schedule a consultation.

Paolo was great, knowledgeable, helpful, and really nice. He had prepared by looking at the questionnaire and was able to give me advice and two itinerary options tailored to our interests and time. It was really worth it because he helped me make changes to the itinerary I had come up with. I think that alone probably saved us lots of time and driving. Of course, he also advised us on things we did not come across through researching online and provided helpful recommendations for hotels and restaurants.

Booking a consultation with a local was a brilliant idea even for avid and experienced travelers. My consultation with Paolo about my Puglia itinerary was a fantastic and helpful experience. He had done his homework reading my questionnaire so knew where I was coming from. He had great ideas and helped me make a big change in my itinerary that I am very grateful for. His knowledge of the area, the restaurants, where to go off the beaten track, were very helpful and greatly appreciated. Such a no brainer experience and I love this concept and plan on using Go ask a Local in the future. So much more informative and interesting then travel guides that are so generic.
