Tracy who dealt with the final stages of my house move was excellent, unfortunately the same can't be said for the solicitor involved who routinely ignored my emails when I needed clarification at certain stages, this left me second guessing which is something you shouldn't be doing when moving home! Would I use again, probably not...

Used Goddard Dunbar for a sale and purchase of a new house. Emma and Stephanie were absolutely incredible and were fast, dilligent and kept us informed and reassured all the way through out the process. Have no hesitation in recommending or using Goddard Dunbar again in future.

Goddard and Dunbar helped us out with the purchase and sale of my property for most of 2022. Always prompt with their responses and answered the phone pretty quickly too. All in all a great experience with them. At the time of sale and purchase the housing market was running slow, so it felt like a drawn out process but this was nobodies fault - a lot of people would write negatively about this.

I used Goddard & Dunbar because the solicitors that were registered on my Mothers Trust had gone into administration during Covid! I only discovered this, following the sad passing away of my mother. The firm that had taken over all the cases did not wish to deal with estates held in a Trust.
Luckily, Paul Finn and Sharon Plane from Goddard & Dunbar were more than happy to help. A daunting process was handled as painlessly as is possible. There was always someone to talk to if I rang and I never felt I was taking up their valuable time; the response to written communication was prompt and the Trust and selling of mums home was completed within a couple of months. In fact, I was equally impressed with how well everyone seems to work as a team and how willing they were to help. Thank you and I hope others encounter an equally positive experience.

Although there were no issues with the actual purchase of my property, I found the staff of Goddard and Dunbar to be very abrupt, they used legalese on all correspondence and were extremely patronising when I asked for clarification, even threatening to charge me interest on an additional charge after completion.
I was a customer that paid every payment requested in a timely fashion. I did not expect to be treated in this manner. I won’t use this firm again.

I appointed Goddard Dunbar for a conveyancing service. The company is extremely unprofessional by posting airmail to china through standard 56 days service and rejecting the client to pay for a better and trackable service.
The AML officer also asked for an unprecedented document from the bank with no knowledge about the laws.

Goddard Dunbar dealt with both the sale and purchase of my new house and I have no complaints to make at all. They were clear with all communication and kept me up to date with the progress of everything to do with the house move. They worked towards my requested completion date and everything went really smoothly on moving day. Costs were also very reasonable and would recommend to anyone needing a conveyancing solictors.

Every one we dealt with was so nice and helpful but also very professional. We were given explanations if we didn't understand a situation therefor we learned a lot too. We are very grateful for their services and will be happy to bring more business to them.

This is my first flat purchase.
at the same time 2 of my friends were also purchasing their first flats (lots of celebrations are taking place).
If it weren't for my friends experiences with other solicitors as a benchmark I would have rated here 4 starts instead of 5.
In brief, the team is super responsive, they picked up the phone whenever I needed them to, they answered all of the emails in a timely manner, and they chased effectively.
Also, the team is very meticulous, they flagged all possible issues and demanded documentation when needed even when the other party was pushing back.
The reason I would have shaved one star is that I felt, even though the solicitors did a great job, they were overworked which resulted in minor attention to details in logistics but not legal matters.
All in all, I would definitely recommend.

Professional service, staff helpful and polite

These were the strongly recommended conveyancing silicitors attached to the estate agents 'Your Move.' The estate agents told me I could choose my own solicitors, but could not guarentee they could successfully liase with an independent. I phoned, emailed at length, called in person three or four times, set the estate agents against the solicitors and vice versa, generally micro managed the very straight forward property purchase. The varied and numerous staff I dealt with did provide the service with daily attention and charged a set fee. This is my first property purchase, so perhaps they are all like this.
