We were so impressed with every detail of the trip. From the flights, to the hotels, all of our ground transportation. Great Value for a great trip. I highly recommend it.

The hotels were absolutely beautiful,the staffing at the hotels was great.The trip experiences were absolutely the best.

Communication was great. Our stays included several bed and breakfast locations and there was a last minute change due to a family issue at one of them. We were contacted, provided an alternate stay and were upgraded due to the slight inconvenience of the change.

We had a wonderful five-night trip to Iceland through Great Value Vacations. Our package included airfare, hotel, airport transfers, the Golden Circle and South Coast tours, and a Northern Lights boat tour.
The Golden Circle and South Coast tours were the highlights of the package and absolutely worth doing. They were well organized and gave us a chance to see an incredible range of Iceland’s landscapes — waterfalls, geysers, glaciers, black-sand beaches and volcanic terrain — without having to worry about driving or planning the logistics ourselves.
Unfortunately, our Northern Lights boat tour was cancelled twice because of rain and poor viewing conditions, so we never got to experience that. Obviously, the weather is beyond anyone’s control.
The airport transfer was probably the least convenient part of the package. Rather than being taken directly to the hotel, the bus takes you to a central terminal, where you transfer to a smaller bus that drops you near your hotel. With luggage, we found the process a little arduous. We had vouchers for the return transfer as well, but ultimately chose to take an Uber instead. This isn’t really a criticism of Great Value Vacations, as that seems to be how airport transfers generally operate in Iceland, but it would have been useful to know beforehand.
Everything else we did — including the Lava Tunnel, Sky Lagoon, Perlan, Lava Show, Saga Museum and FlyOver Iceland — we arranged independently.
Overall, we were very happy with the Great Value Vacations package. Having the flights, hotel and two major sightseeing tours taken care of gave us a very good framework for the trip, while still leaving us plenty of time to explore on our own. For a first visit to Iceland, it worked extremely well for us.
In terms of value, Great Value Vacations was still considerably cheaper than booking a comparable Icelandair package, which was about $600–$700 more for the two of us. However, it is worth looking carefully at what is included when comparing prices. Our United flights through Great Value did not include seat selection or a checked bag, and by the time we paid for those, we had added roughly $450 to the cost. The comparable Icelandair package included seats and one checked bag, so the difference was not quite as large as it initially appeared.
Also, be prepared for Iceland itself to be expensive, particularly food and transportation. While we were there, gasoline was around $8.33 a gallon, and because so much has to be imported, everyday costs can add up quickly. So I wouldn't necessarily describe this as a “cheap” vacation. Great Value did, however, give us a competitively priced package and took care of the major pieces — airfare, hotel and two excellent sightseeing tours — while leaving us free to plan the rest of the trip ourselves.

Good coverage of the areas to be visited. Overall we were happy with the trip. The van arranged for transportation was good and the English speaking guides were well informed.

Here are some areas for improvement:
1. The itinerary format is poorly done. The daily schedule was not clear and the information was presented in a jumbled manner. I had to rewrite the itinerary in order to understand it.
2. There's no contact person assigned, so it was not clear whether someone will receive us when we landed at Lima. I had to call the Emergency number to check if someone will be there to receive us.
3. Machu Pichu tour was on Circuit #3 which did not provide the classic panoramic views. Whereas it is said that #2 is the better one for good views of the area. The tour itinerary did not mention which circuit we'll be going on. We should have been allowed to visit on 2 days using Circuit #2 and #3 to get the best overall experience.
4. The return back to Cusco and staying additional days there was not necessary. The tour could be shortened by a day or two to make it more sweet. Or we could have been allowed to visit Machu Pichu twice.

The planning of an amazing trip with such ease. You made the choices of hotels and flight all in one place. A bit more info about getting around in these particular areas such asa trains/taxis/uber.

It was a memorable Vacation, and everything that we were expecting, the only thing that did not completely meet our expectations were the Wine trips and Culinary Trips. There needs to be more options for food tasting and Wine Tasting.

Great Value Vacations is easy to navigate, constantly has amazing deals and if needed they have amazing customer support. I have used them for numerous trips both inside and outside of the US.

Cannot recommend the enough.

What an amazing deal, to begin with, then to actually take the trip and have it completely fab - terrific! Aside from Hurricane Nolo skirting the islands, which is not under control of GVV's Co! Fantastic communication leading up to the trip. No issues with airline or hotel. Superb deal and can't wait to use their service on another excursion.

We felt the tour was really good although not a lot of down time. We were in a coach driving a lot with this trip. The food was fine, lots of Italian options if you like Pizza and Pasta. The hotels were very nice.

Our guide, Maja, was AMAZING. If I ever go back I would absolutely request her.

Fun trip, the hotel rooms and bathrooms were tiny. I would have asked for an upgrade in my package, but I think it added days to the trip and a significant cost.

Easy to book good value and a great experience overall

We had a great time on our trip to London! We went on the Affordable London Upgrade trip. I wouldn’t say that the upgrades are necessary, however it was nice to have a few scheduled activities to get the trip started. GVV handled everything. We received all vouchers ahead of time. We didn’t have any issues during our journey. We enjoyed our clean, updated hotel and the breakfast provided. The hotel location made it easy to walk to many places and/or take the train to further locations. We have used GVV for three different trips now and frequently recommend GVV to others.

Very good price for what we received. Airfare to Hungary, and back from Prague. The hotels were 1st rate, and the breakfasts were GREAT! All of the transfers were on time. Wonderful trip for the value!

This was my first time booking thru Great Value Vacations. I will definitely book again!
