They came highly recommended....now we know why!
Great Value's staff was very responsive and informative. We had to cancel a very expensive tour as part of our vacation, and Great Value's staff was quick to present options. When options did not work for us, they were quick to refund 100% of the costs - no questions asked.

I could not have been happier with…
I could not have been happier with using Great Value Vacations for the first time. It was also our first trip to Ireland. The whole process was seamless and easy to navigate. Our 2 families, 6 adults total, were all impressed with the process and the vacation experience. Hotels were picked walking distance from the train stations and this was so convenient! Highly recommend using them for your next trip!

South Africa Trip
I went to South Africa with my wife and daughter.
Besides the terribly long flight the stay was amazing.
Our trip included all transportation, excursions and breakfast in Johannesburg and Capetown.
At greater Kruger it was all in for food and all drinks (including alcohol).
The trip was unforgettable and couldn't be better.
I specifically booked it that way and was glad I did as there are areas you don't want to wander unguided.

Loved everything except the train…
Loved everything except the train tickets!!! They made absolutely no sense to any of the hotel concierges, the locals at the train stations and even the information booth at the train stations. I was put on the wrong train to Prague by a train conductor!! They stopped the train and I had to run to the other train to Prague! The only way I got to the train to Vienna is because a kind stranger was going on that trip and I followed him. I barely made the train after asking around the station for 90 minutes before I met the kind gentleman that took me to the Vienna train. The information boards were set up nothing like our tickets.
Perhaps you should connect your clients to download the tickets on the phone containing the QR code for the ticket. Maybe the ticket app will be will be more clear to the locals and train employees.

Thank you for your valuable feedback and suggestions.
We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty you experienced with the train ticket—even in situations where assistance from local train station staff should have been readily available. Thankfully, the kindness of a stranger helped you along the way.
We hope that, despite this experience, you were able to enjoy your time overall and had a memorable trip.

7 nights in Hawaii starting 8/11/26
We did 7 nights in Hawaii starting 8-11-26……Everything went as scheduled and reserved. No surprises!
I did not need to contact Great Value Vacations (GVV) for any issues about the trip. GVV did a fantastic job!
Side Note: We had a very nice end to summer break.

We loved the combination of the partially guided tour. Having days to ourselves and use of the hop on and off bus was a great way to experience the city and personalize what we wanted to do and see efficiently. The guided tour through Rabbie's to the Isle of Skye was excellent! Our accommodations and transfers were wonderful and everything went so smoothly! It was an amazing experience for a great price!

Well
Well, we missed our connecting flight due to time in security etc, so we missed a Viator tour. Each stay was at a hotel that wasn't in town, so time and money was spent for traveling.

Sheila: Thanks for your feedback.
We agree that missing flight connections can be stressful and frustrating. Hopefully you were able to file a claim for your missed excursion.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the hotels. Perhaps the upgrade version of the package would have suited you better? The upgraded version provides more centrally located hotels.
We hope that, overall, you had an enjoyable vacation.

This was my 3rd trip with Great Value Vacations. I’ve never been disappointed.
The travel times and. Connections were great (accept for a weather delay out of Charlotte).
The accommodations were very good and the activities included were great.
All was accomplished at very reasonable prices.
When I tell others of my trips and the costs, they are always amazed. I plan to travel again with Great Value. I just keep shopping through the site for interesting trips at the right time.

We had the best time!
We had the best time on the Ireland by rails vacation. This was the perfect way for six adults to travel to celebrate my dad’s 75th birthday. All of the information provided helped make for a seamless experience and Customer Support (thanks Barbara) was there to answer questions every step of the way. The hotels were clean, nice and easy to get to. We loved having the breakfast option each morning as it made our start to the day easier. The Ring of Kerry tour was a highlight for us all. I would book this package again and can’t wait to go on another vacation with Great Value Vacations.

Oslo Tour
On the Oslo tour the tour guides spoke of the Norway family having a rapist in the family. Also, she advised us not to take pictures of people as we would be deemed pedophiles. We deemed it inappropriate as we had an 11 year old with us.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are very concerned by the comments you described, particularly as a child was present. This is not the type of experience we expect our customers to encounter on one of our tours.
We have escalated the matter to our local tour provider and are continuing to investigate it directly with them. We sincerely apologize for the discomfort this caused you and your family, and we appreciate you making us aware of the situation.
