They have all been arrested and awaiting trial for serious fraud, tax, VAT evasion and the list goes on ! no surprise there.

I was asked to call the number below. I spoke to Jason who promised to get my issues resolved and call me back a few days ago. No callback. Nothing since then. I didn't expect a return call. But thought I would do as asked and play along.

Anyway, they know exactly who I am. I have them in Court already. Claim Number L9QZ952N. Isued 29.5.24 at WANDSWORTH Court. I am looking forward to exposing this scam in front of a Judge.

I am part of a Whatsapp group of 70 other victims. Many are going to testify as witnesses. We have all had the same experience of having to pay back HMRC + penalties and interest. But GJF keep their large fees and wash their hands. They know nothing about R&D. HMRC has cottoned on and is restricting claims made through either GJF or their many multiple linked companies.

They have zero interest in my paying back my loss.

They have tried to take down this review multiple times and others I have posted under other company names in the group.

Dont belive the 5 star reviews.

My advice would be that if you are approached by anyone offering to help you claim any kind of tax relief, check with your accountant or legal advisor before engaging them. If they can’t help then contact HMRC directly to check with them if you qualify as, if not, it’s you who has to face the consequences if HMRC find out you weren’t eligible for a tax relief you claimed incorrectly.

Total fraudsters

Green Jellyfish assured me that my R&D activities were eligible for a claim. Based on their guidance, I confidently submitted the claim and received a rebate from HMRC. However, it has come to light that HMRC's process involves issuing rebates first and investigating later. Unfortunately, upon investigation, it was determined that my claim was not eligible, and now I must return the rebate. The advice given by Green Jellyfish, which led me to proceed with the claim, has caused me considerable distress and countless sleepless nights.

Greenjellyfish are fantastic at getting your R&D claim and taking their fees. However they will not provide the documentation for the claim. PLEASE BE AWARE

HI, I'm writing this review in hope that no other company suffers the way myself and other companies are doing in regards to R&D claims.
We along with many other companies who work in care have been mislead by Green Jellyfish, they stated that they were one of the leading companies dealing with R&D claims in this field and we were assured that if we dealt with Dementia patients we would qualify.
I did say to the agent that I believed the claim would be tenuous at best but they said no we have got this through for many care companies, sadly we agreed to go ahead.
Some time later sure enough Green Jellyfish delivered and paid me around £8000, after the claim was ratified by HMRC. Green Jellyfish kept the rest around £9,500.
About a month or two later HMRC sent me a letter saying that the claim had been dismissed and required repayment, upon which we paid our monies back.
We rang Green Jellyfish to inform them that we needed them to pay the HMRC the money back, they refused and continue to refuse to pay it back .
Just 20 minutes ago we had a conversation with HMRC after receiving a letter earlier today , they are adamant we have to reimburse the HMRC and pay the interest.
This situation has had a massive impact on my mental health and from what I have heard on many others as well. Good honest hard working individuals have succumb to this companies lies and misrepresentation of the narrative, we could have wrote this review in a more aggressive manner but I dont want the review to be taken down.

GJ helped us claim for our R&D rebate. We've used them two years running now and happy with their service.

1 star is 1 too many. Stay away from this company they sold themselves es to us as tax experts in the care sector and that couldn’t be further from the truth. We had a teams meeting where they gathered info about our company and they submitted an R&D claim to HMRC on our behalf we were awarded approx £30k and they took their commission however HMRC then found our claim non compliant and we had to pay back the full amount , GJF refused to pay back the commission leaving us £7k out of pocket. Numerous attempts made to reclaim this money during which they used stalling tactics and had us appeal using “their” law firm Kirby and Haslam. I requested many times to view my original claim but was told it wasn’t available or KH didn’t have it. My guess ( which I can not prove) is that the claim was not reflective of our original discussion and my business whatsoever and GJF went in aggressive to get the maximum tax rebate possible. I know we are not the only business they have done this too so my advice would be TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We have now been using Green Jellyfish for over 3 years and the quality of the service has definitely improved. Our consultant Thomas was very helpful, precise and professional. Happy to recommend to anyone!

Green Jellyfish cold called me informing me that they were experts in the R & D claims field. I explained that I didn't think we were legible for this type of claim.
Long and short of the story, we got our payment from HMRC but unknown to me they paid out without a compliance check, so 3 years later a whopping bill with penalties arrived from HMRC, tried to appeal but with no luck, so now saddled with paying back a huge chunk of money back. BEWARE

Avoid this company.
They have a great sales pitch and everything seems great and they even make all the HMRC jargon seem so straight forward however this is where they catch you.
At first, they are helpful and knowledgeable (or so I thought) and the whole process made sense. It was a simple and effective amendment to previous accounts which Green Jellyfish claim will save me thousands for which they then take their high percentage fee.
The process was started and we received a letter from HMRC with more queries. Green Jellyfish help answer these queries and claim its standard process but to them it is not. We then lost our claim due to not supplying sufficient evidence to R&D but green jellyfish guaranteed us that it is generic in our sector so it would be straight forward. This was not the case.
GJ rely on putting in a generic claim and bet on you not being selected for additional checks. If you done have additional checks, you are lucky - win win and you get your refund and pay GF their share ... until HMRC open your case a few years later and question you and GJ are no longer any help. OR you get questioned straight away from HMRC and GJ again suddenly cannot assist you further. GJ asked us to sign authority for them to deal directly with HMRC and this lead us to further complications with poor responses from GJ as well as late penalties. We were left with a large fine from HMRC for the work GJ carried out.
Within Green Jellyfish, their internal communication is toxic - we tried to speak to someone in charge and we had people claiming they were in charge but then the next person would claim - who was that? We were finally met with someone claiming to have senior status and only threw small print T&Cs in our faces.
This company have no way of tracking them and will only con you whether it be straight away of a few years down the line.
I wish I did my research further into this and not just read Trust Pilot - after I found Facebook pages and groups of other companies in the same boat all conned by this company.

Again, like many others on here. Green Jelly Fish lured me in to a false promise.

Pulled for a compliance check by HMRC and turns out nothing I’d done qualified for R&D although green jelly fish “R&D specialist insisted it was and suggested it was industry standard.

Anyways, here I am repaying the tax, green jelly fish have already taken their cut and will most likely get a fine from HMRC. Avoid at all costs!

They submitted R&D claims on behalf of my company. When it was investigated by HMRC they had ZERO paperwork on how they calculated the claim. The money has to be returned to HMRC. Additionally I was fined by HMRC for making the claim.
Avoid this company at all costs, they have no morals.
It was 2 years later I was investigated by HMRC so it might all look great when they first approach you, but it will come back to seriously bite you.

I gave them a 1 star review for all the same reasons that everyone is now experiencing & they tried to have this removed claiming I was fraudulent.

How many people are you going to do this do - you have no conscious and are bullies providing false information and getting innocent businesses into trouble.

I would strongly advise not to use this company, they refused to give me the report they sent to HMRC about my company and now HMRC want all their money back! GJF appointed Kirby and Haslam who seemed to want to defend them which is unsurprising, but it made no difference and I am faced with a 6 figure sum and possible penalties which I was assured GJF would refund their part if this happened but I was told no! Kirby and Haslam asked me for the report which I bet had and they had a copy they shared with me and I was astounded with the lies that GJF had told HMRC about my company so run as fast as you can if you want don’t want to fall into the trap a lot of us have.

Clear advice and straightforward to work with.

Where to start this?
Do not use Green Jellyfish.
A claim was put in on our behalf to HMRC, however it did not meet HMRC criteria, we were then investigated by HMRC - Green Jellyfish did not contact me about defending their claim, rather they passed me over to Kirby & Haslam Solicitors (Who are literally owned by the same people! Conflict?).

They "have seemingly" preyed on companies who are already struggling in a sector that is tight financially and give you every assurance on you are eligible.

You trust that as you are not a Tax Specialist then the Tax Specialist you appoint will be aware of Tax and legal requirements of HMRC prior to submitting a claim - these cowboys are not.

The reviews were great when I dealt with them and the recommendations I received are now turning into horror stories.

Do not use Green Jellyfish.
