Took so long to deliver and impossible to return
Took so long to deliver and I needed this product for a holiday. By the time it was delivered I was already away, and couldn’t return as the return window was closed. I do not recommend this company. Impossible to return item if you checked out as guest ans the return instructions on website to do “forgot password” do not work. Impossible to contact customer services.

The worst outdoor shop online
The worst outdoor shop online I have used!
Placed an order August 11th, as of today September 1st the order hasn’t even despatched.
I’ve had to chase multiple times via email / contact form for anyone to even respond.
Lacklustre apology and basically told me to wait? Then offered to despatch part of the order but still couldn’t guarantee a timeline.
Save your money and use a different store, useless at fulfilling the orders and even worse at keeping you updated.

Delivery date and customs fee
I didn't want to share my feedback because unfortunately it wasn't to be positive.
I'm sorry to say that but the the delivery date was to be much later than the one stated in confirmation of the order.
But most importantly, even though it was said, while ordering the product, that there will be customs fee, the actual number wasn't detailed. So, when I received notification that I have to pay it I simply refused the order.
It's true I could have calculated this value, but they could have too. So, really not a good experience... Or at least a lot of room to improve.

Great product
Great product, best price i could find, but item got diverted to somewhere else during delivery so had to wait even longer to arrive. Not hardloops fault but shouldn't of happened

Absolutely awful - avoid this company
I ordered a rain jacket on 28th July and it wasn't shipped until 12th August because it wasn't in stock. The jacket was stuck in customs and I was asked to pay £50+ which was 30% the cost of the actual jacket! This additional cost was not mentiomed anywhere on my order or the email confirmation I received. I asked for refund 10 days ago and was told that the delivery company hasn't delivered the item back to Hardloop so they can't refund me. Overall very poor service and communication. Now I don't even know if I will be refunded the £160 I spent. Would absolutely avoid this company.
****I can't reply to the seller but additional custom charges were not displayed in the basket or email confirmation. I checked

Scarpa shoes cheaper than Uk and decent delivery performance
Bought a pair of Scarpa approach shoes. Hardloop offered a decent discount compared to the cheapest UK website. I had seen reviews complaining of slow deliveries, but my shoes arrived within 3 working days as promised and were well-packed and just as described.

Best of the European Trekking/Ski Retailers
I have used most of the continental trekking/ski internet order companies, and find this one to be the best for orders of value beneath the threshold for UK customs duties (i.e. GBP 162 including VAT). The biggest reason to use them is that they use DPD as shipper to the UK. This is important, as others - Ek***ort, Snow***der, Alpi****rek, etc, all use Evri, and you only have to read the feedback on the Trustpilot pages for those companies to see why that is a remarkably bad idea. I almost had to enter legal action with Snow***der because an expensive item (> GBP 300) ordered from them was lost by Evri and my approaches to the retailer's customer service were ignored. Do not underestimate Evri's ability to lose things; having DPD as the courier is considerable value added. With Hardloop, my order arrived via tracked, signed-for DPD delivery only three days after I placed the order. Hardloop's website will also warn you if your order has gone over the watershed wherein it may attract UK customs fees, so you can then tinker with the items ordered i.e. to get free shipping but not to be liable for customs fees, and so that is another advantage with this company, though of course for items that cost more than GBP 162 (i.e. including VAT) you will be liable for customs fees either way because of Brexit. All items were also received from Hardloop in the expected condition. With Alpi****rek, I needed to return an item at one point (a pair of trainers) because the item was apparently used with visible dirt on it; not so with Hardloop, at least in my experience. So far, so good; basically I recommend this company over the other European outdoor retailers for the above reasons.
