I can’t speak highly enough of Georgina at Harmony. She responded so swiftly to my enquiry (we were on the phone within 30 mins of my initial outreach). She responded to my enquiry with confidence, enthusiasm and professionalism and despite a very tight timeline was optimistic she’d find me a great match. I had used an alternative agency earlier in the year and had signed a contract and paid the deposit and placement fee for the candidate, yet was let down a few weeks before my due date when they chose to continue with another client. I reached out to Harmony and Georgina was confident she would source me a great candidate despite the timeline. In comparison the previous agency told me that I’d left it too late to source a maternity nurse with a 4 month lead time. Georgina advised she would provide 6 CVs by the end of the week and within 24 hours had sent through 3 strong CVs and arranged interviews. All candidates were of a great standard and any one of them would have been suitable for the role. Her follow up was timely and unpressured and her focus throughout was finding someone I felt comfortable with. Georgina was a huge support and reassurance that put me at ease at a difficult time when I’d been let down. I cannot recommend her highly enough, both to customers and maternity nurses who have had previous poor experiences with agencies.

Fiona from the Surrey branch was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

We were looking for a nanny for our two boys and Fiona really took the time to understand our family, our complex needs and the kind of person who would be the right fit for us. She was professional but also real and warm so we felt comfortable talking things through with her. She was super efficient and reassuring throughout the whole process, keeping us updated and making what could have felt quite overwhelming feel very straightforward.

The nanny she found for us is a brilliant and our boys love her! We are so grateful for Fiona’s judgement and support.

I found a role through Harmony at Home in December 2025, with a planned start date in January 2026. After interviews and trial days, I was offered the position.

To take the role, I significantly rearranged my schedule and commitments. However, after just three days working with the family, I was told I was "no longer required." No explanation was provided.

I contacted Harmony at Home to discuss what had happened. They apologised and said "they were shocked and disgusted" by the family's actions. I was also told I would be kept informed about new opportunities which included consultancy work.

Six months have now passed, and I have not received a single follow-up or any communication about alternative roles or consultancy work.

Oh and just to add salt to the wound they re advertised the role a couple of weeks later, despite Harmony at Home being "shocked and disgusted" by the family's treatment of myself. When I questioned this, I was told Harmony at Home had legal obligations to the family. No further explanation or evidence was provided.

Georgina was extremely helpful, kind and efficient - helping us find great candidates at very short notice. I’ve worked with lots of agencies and think that Harmony at Home was definitely the most helpful!

My experience with Harmony at Home Maternity was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, far below the level of professionalism expected from a childcare agency.

The role presented to me changed significantly after the booking process had already progressed, including important details regarding the duration and overall arrangement of the position. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent, unclear and at times dismissive, leaving me in a very difficult professional position.

After raising formal concerns, I waited weeks for a complaint response which, in my view, failed to properly address many of the key issues raised. Basic questions were ignored entirely, including concerns relating to my professional reputation and what information had been communicated to the client regarding my withdrawal from the role.

I also found the overall tone and handling of communication unnecessarily rude, defensive and lacking basic professionalism and courtesy. Rather than acknowledging legitimate concerns, the response appeared focused on protecting the agency’s position rather than fairly reviewing the issues raised.

Following this situation, communication regarding potential roles from other Harmony franchises also suddenly stopped, which was extremely concerning from a professional perspective. Despite these concerns being raised, head office appeared to take no meaningful action whatsoever.

Since this experience, I have also spoken with several clients and childcare professionals who had previous dealings with Harmony agencies overall, and many expressed similar concerns regarding professionalism, communication standards and lack of transparency.

As someone with many years of experience in childcare and maternity care, I value honesty, transparency, respectful communication and professional conduct very highly. Unfortunately, my experience with this agency did not reflect those standards.

I would not recommend this agency to childcare professionals based on my personal experience.

The service i received from Harmony at Home has been amazing. Jo found me a lovely family and the process was very swift and personal. Thanks so much for going the extra mile, from wishing me good luck, to seeing how my first day went.

Zoe did a great job helping us find a nanny for our two young children. She very quickly sent us 3 candidates all of whom seemed experienced caring and capable. She co-ordinated setting up interviews with them and she was available, engaged and quick to respond throughout the whole recruitment process. We have offered a full time position to one of the ladies Zoe put forward and look forward to her starting with us next month.
