Constantly missing ingredients
Decent, tasty meals, just too many missing ingredients. I had been using this company for two years, yet in the last 4 months they have gone downhill. If you dont want to be frustrated when you get home and try to enjoy a meal, I'd advise you not to use HelloFresh.

Hello fresh is a game changer
Hello fresh is honestly the best decision to make! Being a mother is a full time job and the thoughts of planning out dinners for the week can sometimes be very overwhelming and also eating the same things over and over can get very boring for yourself and the kids. Having a menu to choose from for the week is like being in a restaurant I love it! Myself and my family have been trying new recipes which has been great, recipes I would never think of cooking. Also the quality of the veg and meat are top notch and I would be a fussy person when it comes to meat especially! Saving money, trying new recipes, shopping delivered to your door what more could you ask for!!

Good but not great :(
I’ve been using HelloFresh for a while now, and while there are definitely things I like about the service, there are some issues too. The quality and consistency of the deliveries have become increasingly disappointing over the past few months.
The quality of the ingredients isn’t always good. Vegetables are often mouldy or rotten when they arrive, and garlic in particular seems to be almost consistently mouldy. This has become noticeably worse in recent months. Items are also regularly missing from deliveries, and more recently I’ve experienced completely incorrect bags arriving with my order.
One positive is that HelloFresh customer service is generally very helpful and willing to offer credits when there are issues. However, while I appreciate the credits, it is still frustrating and disappointing to repeatedly have problems with the same things, especially when you’re relying on having the ingredients needed to make your meals. These ongoing issues also make it increasingly difficult to justify staying with HelloFresh, particularly given the relatively high price. Paying a premium for the convenience is one thing, but it is much harder to justify when the quality of some of the ingredients is poor or items are missing.
Despite these issues, there are still plenty of things I like about HelloFresh. There is a really wide variety of meals to choose from, the recipes are always easy to follow, and I have yet to try a meal that I genuinely didn’t like. The convenience of having the ingredients and recipes delivered is also a big benefit.
One thing I would really like to see HelloFresh Ireland introduce is a 3-person serving size, as this is available in some other countries. It would be a much more useful option for smaller households or situations where two portions aren’t quite enough but four is too much.
Overall, I really like the concept and the meals themselves, but the ongoing issues with ingredient quality, missing items and incorrect deliveries have become difficult to overlook. If HelloFresh could improve the consistency and quality of its deliveries, I would be much more likely to recommend the service.

I previously left a wonderful review as the first few meals were great but 3 of the meals out of the 7 I ordered for the week had completely gone off mouldy and wet coriander lettuce chives and sweet potato and broccoli. Obviously when packing the ingredients they use produce already expiring or about to. Defeats the whole point of the concept if you have to go to the shop to replace the gone off goods. It happened before with peppers that were mush so I stopped ordering. Thought I’d give them another go but the issue clearly hasn’t been sorted.

Easy to order
Easy to order, follow the recipe and quality of produce was excellent. Meals are excellent. Only downside was the meat packs for the meals had only a 5 day expiry date, which meant I couldn't skip a day without wasting a pack.

I find the chicken can be fatty at times. Also when delivered some of the packages have broken open and there is ingredients out in the box.

Mixed emotions
Very efficient delivery and organized packaging. Got three meals for 6people. First was a pasta dish with plenty to go around. Though not terribly balanced as had little to no protein 🤔 (Mentioned I can add chicken, but that would mean I'd need to go out and buy it)
Second recipe must have had a mistake as had 2 limes in the mix that the recipe didn't call for, but calculated that one bag of cuscus (150g) is sufficient for family of 6.
Yet to make the third one...
Also disappointed, that the seasoning set was advertised as a pull, but you only receive it with subsequent orders - little cheeky

Good tasty meals but flexibility important
They are very good at finding the right herbs and spices to bring out the flavor of the other ingredients. The darne of salmon portion was made for Mickey Mouse but too small for an adult. I couldn't find my butternut squash but there was so much stuff to put away in the fridge that I might have inadvertently put a bag of veg in the freezer. Be prepared and make room for the ingredients. Finally I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and I need to filter out things like white rice, white bread, sugar etc. There may be a way to do this but I couldn't find it? I will need to do a costing later when I have used up my discounts. I wonder if I can save even more money by purchasing my own meat and fish, IF it works out cheaper? Probably not?
