Working with Tomo was easy: the rates were the best, the questions were answered when necessary, and the whole process was very convenient.
The only reason why there are 4 stars is that there was a mistake in the closing cost amount (~10% more) that was communicated 2 days prior to closing made me scramble for that additional amount.

I wanted to take time to share some feedback with you about our recent experience working with James.

Firstly, everyone at Tomo has been professional, easy to communicate with and helpful. But James has been extraordinary.

He’s gone above and beyond to help us with our home buying process! We’ve worked with James in a few extremely competitive markets that have required immediate action in a multiple offer situation - he has gotten us what we need every single time, including several times after business hours, allowing us to move forward getting homes under contract that we otherwise would not have been able to. Our competitiveness and experience as buyers has been altered because of the work James has singlehandedly put in.

Knowing we can count on him has made this process so much less stressful for us in many ways. He’s helped us navigate uncertainty around rate movement and given sage advice about how to proceed. It brought so much relief to work with James during our real estate transactions understanding he had our best interest in mind (pun intended) and was always available to offer clear, intelligent guidance.

We would absolutely recommend Tomo - everyone was truly great, but the wonderful experience we had working with James specifically won’t be soon forgotten and is what will ensure I don’t think twice before choosing Tomo again in the future.

Tomo is a great lender. Working with their team was a breeze. The funding was available at time of closing and they had the best rates. Would highly recommend using Tomo.

Good instructions for getting customers settled down

Jack and the Tomo team were very responsive and helpful in ensuring we closed quickly and on time. I shopped around and Tomo offered the best rates and lowest costs by far. Overall, really positive experience.

Very satisfied with the process. Upfront rates, that beat everyone else. Worked with Aaron, he was fantastic. Tomo was great, highly recommend them for a mortgage.

In total, my experience was fairly positive. The first half was VERY positive, and after that, some drawbacks. Details:
* Conner was very professional. He contacted me early on and after that periodically, since I was shopping with a number of competitors. He also produced a pre-approval letter pretty early on, which stood out in contrast to some of the other mortgage lenders.
* Things started going south when I received a new estimate close to the closing date, in which lenders costs appeared, which was contrary to our prior agreements. I was told it would be removed, but the "fix" appeared with an interest rate higher than the agreed-to matched rate from a different banker. Both he and the representative in charge of my loan then fixed the rate as well, so we were back on track. I was thankful to both of them and decided to disregard that bump in the road.
* There was a bit of anxiety on the last day and evening before the closing date when all parties involved stopped getting communications from anyone on their team. The next morning they claimed there was some processing glitch which was fixed. It sounded true, but there should have been more communication on that day.

Conclusion:
I did get a very good deal with them and do recommend them, and Conner in particular. However, as stated in the title, you need to keep your eyes open for any changes/irregularities, etc. I suppose that concept applies to anyone you deal with in this business.

We haven't finished/ closed yet but so far Tomo and our rep Forazin have been excellent. Great customer service, balancing the right amount of communication and helpfulness without being too much. Do recommend 💯

The speed and communication with the team was above and Beyond what I was used to with other companies

We got a great rate and in general our agents were easy to contact and communicate with. I disliked that some of the "immediate" email responses were from an AI agent rather than a real person, but I guess that's par for the course these days. We closed on time, though right up to the wire. I would have appreciated a little more breathing room but in the end we still got our home.

They had low fees and were very transparent about the process. Aaron at Tomo was very helpful and communicative! Overall a very smooth process- being able to do every on their website was also great!

From beginning to end, Tomo made it easy to apply for the loan and take it through the finish line. Both the loan advisor (Ted) and application advisor (Mike) were extremely responsive and accessible throughout the process. Thank you !

Tomo did a great job of finding us a very low interest rate and did a great job of communicating with us, being first time homebuyers.

The Morgage application process is very straight forward and clients friendly.
Mohamad was excellent. Always responded on our phone calls. Provided us with the current status of our application and explained the nest steps to be taken.

James was very nice to work with-- informative and responsive throughout the process. Happy with my experience.

Definitely got us the lowest rate. I did do some additional shopping but they beat/exceeded anything I put in front of them. Closing did take an hour or two extra as it seems they didn't double check closing documents for the underwriter until the day of even though I e-mailed a few times before to see if we were good to go. Give yourself some extra time on closing day but definitely saved us a lot of money so they lived up to expectations! Doug was awesome to work with. Definitely the least salesy loan officer I worked with and seemed genuine the whole time.

Tomo is a very streamlined mortgage company with an excellent real-time calculator that makes it easy to explore different mortgage scenarios, including various down payments and points. Their team was highly responsive and consistently offered the most competitive rates I could find. While the internal communication between the loan advisor and application advisor could have been smoother initially, they addressed my feedback quickly and went the extra mile to ensure my loan was approved in time for the closing. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend them to others.
