I'm not totally happy with the wig I bought from hergivenhair. The wig cost $200, plus shipping.

1. The wig sheds like crazy during the wash and styling process.

2. I do not believe the wig is 100% human hair or even human hair at all, the texture feels like synthetic plastic.

I wish I had of research more on this company before making a purchase.

I too now own a Hergivenhair wig “Proud Of Your Coily" Unit-PSTLW03S for
$300.00... My experience with ordering the hair to receiving the hair exceeded expectations.
Hair looked, felt and functioned exactly like the YouTuber’s described. Absolutely gorgeous hair.
I followed the YouTuber’s “care for” instructions as well; pre-washing my unit. No problem.
About three weeks in the hair would get dry and I’d hydrate it with no problem but then it was looking like the unit needed washing, just as my hair would.
So I washed my unit as usual.
I did notice the hair snapped back easily, all but the top lace front portion.
I thought, no biggie I’ll just take my time and detangle my unit.
I got more than enough tangles out before I had to go to sleep.
I styled and continue wearing my given hair for another week before I set aside time to thoroughly wash, condition and detangle my unit.
The hair did shed a substantial amount of hair... kinda like what I loose when I wear my hair braided for three months (but this was only a week for my wig).

Finally after about 1 hour and a half....got all the dreaded hair detangle. Sheesh!!! I wasn’t expecting that.
I have to say that there is NO noticeable difference with the loss of hair except for the lace front top portion.
For example, parting the center of the unit... I can tell that I pulled out too much hair during my detangling the dreaded locked portion.
I’m not devastated because my unit still looks and feels amazing.
I just think that the technique or process need some serious looking into.
Yes, the unit would get dry just like my hair would; especially me being outdoors mostly.
As for the chemical smell, its barely noticeable once washed but as I wear the hair and it gets dryer, the smell is a bit more noticeable.
Lastly, I noticed that the natural color I ordered, gets just a bit lighter after each wash.
Again the wig sort of mimic my own hair but yeah if I want to make the hair darker; I can add a rinse to it.
This was my first wig/ lace front buying experience. I’m sure it’s not gonna be my last.
The hair is definitely functional and impressive for a no synthetic and NATURAL CURLY, COILY, KINKY type HAIR... The lace front technique definitely needs fixing.
I will purchase another wig and maybe clip in’s just to see if this was an isolated event.****************************

Today May 22, 2021

My “Proud of her coily” unit is still shedding from the (4”*4”) lace closure ONLY. (Looks like someone with “male pattern baldness” at the forehead area.)

The rest of the wig that was machine sewn is completely in tact (very minimum shedding /normal)

I can’t afford to detangle anymore hair in that area.

I just brush hair from the back to forward for full bangs; until my new units arrive.

This time I purchased a (13” * 1”) lace closure and clip ins so when the shedding happens again, I’ll buy time using clipins for the balding area.

As for the lite smell, I managed to handle that by placing the entire wig on a wig head and mannequin head stand in the shower.
I use the strap underneath the wig cap to keep the head still while I take my time and rinse any product out.

Since I started co washing the wig and thoroughly rinsing; NO SMELL.

THIS IS AMAZING HAIR, if they can only tweek their “lace” technique so the hair does not pluck out after a second wash.

I have managed my wig for 3 months now.

I plan to see if clipins will able me to elongate this wig even though I have a new one on the way.
OR I will purchase a closure from them and have my seamstress sew on the closure. Because the rest of the wig is in perfect condition. I think some can be done.
*my seamstress will know my secret now ;)

I ordered my hair on March 19th it’s now March 25th and I get to receive a tracking number and your shipment says it takes 2 business days.

DO NOT BUY HER GIVEN HAIR WIGS. My $240 wig that I’ve had for only 2 short weeks look like I was in a dog fight. I even bought the recommended high end products to keep it up since this was an investment. The first week it looked beautiful ( band wig) now it unrecognizable! It can’t be human, no way! The vendor is from China and don’t value its costumers nor our money. I’m going to do a you tube review about it. So, look for it soon!!

I bought two units (well over $300 each) from HGH. The first unit, Proud of My Coily, came out of the box looking beautiful. I co-washed, per the instructions, and it was beautiful.....for about a month. The bangs started to become a tangled mess. And ONLY the bangs. After co-washing, the rest of the hair bounced back beautifully. But the bangs just got worst. It is as if the hair used for bangs is NOT the same hair throughout the rest of the unit. Spent hours trying to detangle till I just gave up. I contacted the company and sent them pictures. They offered a small discount on another unit. Decided to give them another try and this time purchased the "Mary" unit. Although I am always meticulous with the caring and maintenance of my wigs (gentle and regular detangling, mannequin head storage) I was EXTRA careful with this new unit. For about 2 weeks it was beyond beautiful! And then I noticed, AGAIN, the bangs becoming matted. I was spending about 30 mins every night going thru every strand trying to prevent it from becoming more tangled. But to know avail. Again, the hair used for the bangs FEELS and looks and ACTS differently than the rest of the unit. I am beyond disappointed and second time shame on me! I have money to spend but it won't be here.

I placed an order today without reading reviews ehh but I felt something was off when I did not receive a confirmation receipt after making the purchase- called the so called customer service number- keeps being busy. At this point , I’m about ready to call my bank and have everything canceled. Seem unprofessional to me.

I bought the hair after watching a lot of YouTuber about this hair. First of all the kinky texture hair is very dry and kinky when it is fully dry. I lot different from my hair texture. This is not the seller fault. However with the hair I received an invoice Of £18 from custom & duty. This was annoying as I have already paid delivery charge of $19 and this additional charge never mentioned in their website. I contacted hergiven hair and I was told that is depend on individual luck. I demanded refund considering I have spent more than £300 excluding delivery charge but that was rejected. They finally agreed to refund £8 and I paid the £10. I was very disappointed because on the custom and duty invoice they have selected the receiver to pay for the tax. Why they did not select seller to pay tax? They are not transparent and this put me of ordering the next clips in I was planning to purchase as the clips in and the wig I purchased a bit dry for my hair texture. I guess I had an expensive lesson and don’t want any one to go through this.

I got the 3c/4a headband wig and I am disappointed. The volume was good and the first wear. I have washed it 3 times since Nov and the chemical smell is still there. The hair doesn't last past a day and swells and drys out quickly. Not only that the shedding is horrible. I expected it the first was but not the large amount after the second and third. The headband itself is flimsy and the cap runs big. Overall it only really looks good when its wet.

je ne trouve pas les mots tellement que j'etais decue de ce produit.
pour ma part je n'arreterais pas à ecrire des commentaires, voir meme appeler toutes les personnes qui seraient amenés à acheter ce produit à les boycotter cette marque qui ne fait que escroquer les jeunes femmes noires. pour ma part j'ai demandé un remboursement, j'attends donc qu'il m'envoie l'adresse pour leur renvoyer le produit.

Ladies DO NOT purchase from this vendor. They are extremely unprofessional since they are taking customers’ hard earned money and not sending product. I ordered a product on December 19 and this order is still being “processed”.The item hasn’t even shipped and I have not received any update or explanation as to why. At the moment, I still have no idea when this item will ship because the vendor has not responded to my messages. When I purchased my item, I was told on the website that my item was expected to be received by December 31st. I wonder how that is supposed to happen since it is now December 27 and my item hasn’t even shipped out. Based on these other reviews, it seems like this merchandise will be coming from a factory in China.

At this point, I just want to receive my item and take my money to their competitors. Iwill likely continue purchasing similar merchandise from the Virgin Hair Fantasy and Big Chop Hair because these vendors ship items within 1 to 2 business days after purchasing and they respond to messages within 48 business hours. Ladies, check out their Instagram pages and websites because they are legit businesses. Thank me later.

Oh and ladies let’s hope that the quality of the product I purchased is as good as advertised on their Instagram and website because if not, I will gladly tell the truth.

I’m quite disapointing! I thouhgt they are the best in class the wig business it turns out the quality is low and the customer service is not decent especially when you consider everything you buy is at least 300$

Can someone explain why these wigs and clip ins are so expensive. I know for a fact y’all aren’t shaving WOC’s hair and making a wig. So why is it so expensive? $710?! For one wig?! If you want to inspire women to represent their natural hair texture I’d say start by not charging them $1000 for fake hair.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Even though the clip ins are on the pricey side I was excited to receive my package of 2 bundles for $518.00. The hair comes with the clip in section rolled in a zip tie (so you can’t see the clips) and once you cut the zip tie to look at the hair, you can’t return the hair. I wasn’t able to see that LITERALLY HALF of the clip ins in both packages were cracked and broken until after I cut the zip tie off. I contacted customer service and no response. This company is a SCAM! Never again...

I am so sorry that I ordered this wig without coming to trustpilot first. The company is totally dishonest. They don't say that the wigs are imported from China. They give a false impression that the product comes from the US. I don't order products from China on principle because they can't be returned and you have NO recourse against them. They charged me import duties. If I know that this was coming from China I wouldn't have ordered it.
I ordered a 14 inch wig and it is 8 inches. The texture feels synthetic and is hard. I paid over $500 for the wig and the color is brown as if it was dyed. I have worn $1500 wig so I know what real human hair feels like.
I gave them 1 star because the packaging is fancy.

I had been watching reviews for Her Given Hair wigs for a few month, and really loved the color, length and look of "Embrace My Coily Life". I finally decided to bite the bullet and order the wig for $550. When I received it, the first thing I did was video tape the unboxing of the unit from the DHL packaging. One of the first things I noticed was that the color of the wig was not like the one on their website. The second challenge was that it was not 18 inches as indicated on their site. The next day I took photo's and reached out to the company to discuss the problems. The response that I received was that the wig length of 18 inches referred to the hair straightened (really). I asked if that was indicated anywhere on their site or packaging (silent). For the color they said that they have different stylist who color the hair so it may vary. I told them that I understand however, if as a customer I'm ordering a product based on what is shown on their website, my expectation was that there would only be minor differences. The company agreed for me to return it. After a day or so I decided to keep the wig and give it a try because I know how to work with wigs, so I could make adjustments. Well, three weeks later after wearing the wig, it has shed sooooo much and tangles. I cannot express how disappointed I am after paying $550 for a wig that is DEFINITELY NOT worth it. It seems that many folks have expressed that the quality of the wigs is not what is being represented by this company, I wish I had saw it before I made this purchase. Her Given Hair, Do BETTER and Be BETTER.

I bought this hair in January but didn't use it until March. When the pandemic hit NYC, I finally had some time off to devote to my kinky textured full lace wig. When I first washed it, it tangled and shedded a bit but nothing major. It looked fabulous. The next time I washed it, it became a tangled mess. I used the recommended products and followed the instructions but it still tangled. It took me hours to untangle it. I lost a lot of hair but because it had so much hair to begin with, it wasn't really a problem. The final time I washed it though... It tangled again. This time I was extra careful, I again used the recommended products and tried not to touch the roots of the hair. But it still ended up looking and feeling like a bird’s nest. I tried to untangle it again and large chunks of hair were coming out. This was a complete waste of over $450 dollars. I got wigs that cost me much less that lasted much longer than this one. I also noticed that when I went to write a review on their website, it wasn't posted. Ladies, save your coins. Although this wig was the closest I've ever had to my own texture hair, it's just not worth the cost; unless you don't ever intend to wash it.

The hair was poor quality, cant style, brush it straighten or blow dry it, even when wet can barely be manipulated. I paid $15 For delivery, then was charged an additional £18 charge from Fedex. Not worth the money. Avoid at all costs.
