I recently purchased approximately a dozen light fittings. While the majority were satisfactory, one unit arrived in a defective state and was unfit for installation. Upon contacting HomDIY, their resolution was to offer a discount on the faulty item rather than honouring their policy. Following my rejection of this inadequate offer, my repeated requests for either a full refund or a functional replacement have been systematically ignored. This level of service is wholly unsatisfactory and represents a complete reversal of the terms clearly set out in their 30-day return policy.

Ordered a ceiling lamp
Ordered a ceiling lamp, purchased the insurance. The item was never delivered (ordered 10 months ago). Neither the company or their designated insurer Seel will replace it or refund it. I have contacted both parties timely and at minimum have 3 dozen emails claiming no responsibility. Do not purchase from this company.

Fire hazard, unresponsive service, broken in less than a year
Our package did arrive, but the light fixture lasted less than a year. After about 6 months the LED bulbs stopped working. After about 9 months it broke completely, and is a serious fire hazard. The fixture is shooting out sparks and buzzing when the light is on, which obviously is now off until I can replace it.
I contacted customer support about an issue and they did not respond.
The only redeeming factor was that it looked nice.

Absolutely appalled at this company
Absolutely appalled at this company. Purchased two telescopic wall hangers which were not as described in advert. Have sent several emails and written through their page but had NO reply AT ALL.
Extremely upset and would definitely NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

Unfair practice - No return or refund
Refused to return or refund product, never gave a reason but we're unreachable. Unacceptable in this era of internet sales. Buyer beware!!!

Avoid this Company!
Avoid this company! They are not reputable and do not honor their word when it comes to returns or refunds. I reached out four times regarding a defective pendant and patiently waited for their response. Their last email asked if I wanted a replacement or refund—I clearly replied requesting a return and refund for the unbalanced, slanted pendant. That was four days ago, and I’ve received no reply since.
They are clearly ignoring the issue. Save yourself the headache and don’t order from them unless you’re willing to risk receiving a faulty product with zero support.
For transparency, I’ve saved a copy of their email in case they try to claim I never contacted them. Their message was sent on 9/11/25, and I responded the same day—and every day since—with no response.

Great products, fantastic customer service
I ordered 2 glass ceiling pendants. Both were delivered promptly, were very easy to install and look fantastic.
A year after installation, one of the glass shades was damaged, I found their customer service to be excellent! Responding immediately and replacing the damaged part.
Will definitely use again in the future!

Avoid This Company – No Customer Support or Refund Process
I placed an order with HomDIY and attempted to cancel it within 24 hours, well within the timeframe allowed in their own cancellation policy, which states that a 20% restocking fee only applies after 24 hours. Despite this, I have received no response to my refund request.
There is no functional way to contact customer service, only a broken chatbot and an email address that no one appears to monitor. I’ve sent multiple messages and received zero replies.
This company is unresponsive, unreliable, and ignores its own stated policies. At this point, I will be filing a chargeback with my payment provider and reporting them to consumer protection agencies.
I demand a full refund immediately. Save yourself the frustration, do not order from HomDIY!

Which shows a film advertisement of this product on a bumper and dash board of a car, applying the liquid with a sponge, looked brilliant until you apply this to your car, it looked like water, did nothing absolutely rubbish, very misleading.

I received the lamp in great shape with great easy instructions for install.
It’s a beautiful design and I love the light it gives.
My item was slightly delayed in the delivery but The company was extremely friendly, considerate and very easy to reach via email. They are totally trust worthy. The prices are very reasonable given the good quality of the lamp.
I highly recommend them for any customers who wish to order from them.
They respond to emails very quickly.
We just have to learn patience in life!!

I received the incorrect item
I received the incorrect item. I was told a replacement would be sent (took 8 days to despatch) despite this being highlighted as urgent replacement as was delaying bathroom renovations with electrician bearing in mind we had to wait 2 weeks to receive the item in the first instance.
Replacement item received was still incorrect. I have contacted the company on several occasions with photographic proof that I now have two of the incorrect item and have received no reply (no phone number to contact so can only email). I will now be contacting my credit card company. I strongly advise against ordering from this website.
In response to HOMDIY reply below. You emailed me on 17th April advising you were sending me the correct item. I have emailed twice since then for an update and again no reply. You know I have the two items as I have emailed you photos. Please stop the nonsense and send the item as well as a refund would be a nice gesture as well :)

Terrible
I was shocked to find Homdiy was actually based in China. When I realised I asked for a refund but was advised the item had already been dispatched. It’s been over two weeks now and I still haven’t received a tracking number and customer service has ignored my three emails chasing. I dread to think what the item will be like…if I ever receive it.

Ordered lights wrong colour sent…
Ordered lights wrong colour sent company tried to blame me even after sending screenshot of my order stating the colour I had ordered. Then they asked if I would take discount to keep them even though they are the complete wrong colour and of no use. Do not buy from this company their customer service is appauling and I am still no further forward with my lights and nearly one hundred pounds out of pocket.

After few weeks waiting, received "parts" of the lamp I ordered.
Sadly, after I just received the 1st parcel of 3 lamps I ordered, I must confirm what looks like a scam company, potentially a supplier of lamp "parts" to another company.
After waiting over 2 weeks, I just received a box with "parts" of my lamp, no instruction or invoice either. Completely unusable.
Save your money and don't risk. I'd never order anything again and regret ever coming across this website.
