I have had a transplant at HQ recently and couldn't recommend them highly enough. Xavier was happy to answer any of my questions, and even popped in on the day to see me to settle my nerves. Dr Ted was fantastic and the girls there were beyond helpful, very friendly and professional. If you're considering getting this done you won't regret it, and you won't find a place that will go out of their way more for you.

I can’t speak highly enough of HQ. I had my hair transplant 9 months ago and the results have been amazing. My initial consultation with Dr Matt was great, I was able to ask any outstanding questions I had, get a professional insight into the day of the procedure and was made to feel at ease. The results I have experienced show how great the team were on the day of the procedure. Dr Matt and all the assistants did an exceptional job, everyone made me feel comfortable and they took their time and were precise with every part of the procedure. The aftercare has also been great- I had plenty of contact details to ask any questions during the recovery period. Overall, HQ have been amazing and I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me. Friends and family can’t believe the success of my results and I would highly recommend them.

I had my initial consultation with Xavier in October 2021 and I was so impressed from the start. The consultation was done virtually at the time but Xavier did it so professionally and with attention to detail, outlining what would be best for my needs. This was followed up shortly after with an in person consultation with Dr Matt who was equally as amazing, he really understood my needs and wanted to make sure I was happy every step of the way. I was so impressed that I booked in my surgery for early November 2021.

The day of the surgery was excellent, every member of staff was so friendly and caring that my nerves quickly went away. I felt so looked after by literally everyone I met. 5* service!

The surgery itself was actually quite relaxing and pain free (I was so surprised!). I can't thank Dr Matt and all the team who looked after me enough. The attention to detail and perfectionism was outstanding. Being able to watch Netflix during the surgery and being supplied with snacks/drinks was a lovely bonus too!

Following some additional follow ups every few months as standard, 12 months later my results are incredible and natural looking. I'm genuinely in awe of what has been achieved and everyone who knows or finds out I've had a hair transplant have said exactly the same.

Before my surgery, I struggled with confidence due to my receding hairline but the confidence I've gained back from visiting HQ has changed my life. Making the decision to get a hair transplant can be a difficult one, but trust me you won't regret getting it done at HQ.

I am writing this review 7 days post surgery #2 in November 2022. I’ve had surgery #1 in November 2021. The clinic, technicians and Surgeons are absolutely passionate about their work and clients. That is true from all the way from initial booking,consultation,surgery,hair washes to the post surgery consultations. I certainly recommend HQ clinic for Hair Translaplant and give them full stars.

Intro:
Having a Hair Translaplant was a huge decision for myself both financially and challenging on emotional level. I’ve been visibly loosing hair since the age of 25 years onwards and decided to have surgery at the age of 34. I started researching viable options for hair Translaplant, I looked at lots of clinics abroad and various parts of the country. But being in wales I came across HQ clinic. Initially I didn’t buy into the process of hair Translaplant. Until I actually saw results done by Dr Ted and by other surgeons around the world.

The review:
Therefore having done some research I booked initial consultation and visited HQ clinic post pandemic with Mr Xavier (2021)
For me the most important questions were is it even possible and will it work for someone like me who’s donor area wasn’t dense. I was assured the possibility and was recommended an consultation with Dr Ted.

MR Xavier was very helpful and clear in his approach showing recent photos of clients who underwent surgery for reassurance.

Dr Ted was absolutely clear with his approach and answered all my questions(There were tons) while going into full details. It was great to see the time spent assuring someone like me who may potentially not go ahead with transplant if being unsure.
I was provided guidance on how many grafts I needed and what areas will be covered and once I was clear the surgery was booked.
(11/2021) Day of surgery was pretty tense for me personally as the extractions in my case wasn’t straightforward, however Dr Ted and the team with their skill managed to extract 2000 Grafts compared to 3000 planned. However this was clearly discussed with myself that due to the circumstances that was the best possible option. The surgery itself comes with little discomfort for obvious reasons but the clinic the technicians/clinicians and Dr Ted kept me at ease and considered all my discomforts and provided excellent service. In my experience getting home was a challenge as I felt motion sickness and the first night was not comfortable for me.
However things starts to get better from 3rd night and by day 7 and wash 2 you see the reward.(Big thank you the expert technician for the hair washes)
It was fantastic to see the result after the second hair wash and I smiled all the way through the 30 minute drive home(Caution you may want to stop looking into rear view mirror while driving the hairline looks great).

It was a big phew moment after day 10. The hair regrowth process varies from person to person and the timeline depends too. Fast forward 3/6/9 months the hair started to appear.( Kudos to the fantastic booking system and very attentive process of post surgery consultations)

(08/2022) However the regrowth wasn’t as expected with which both Mr Zavier and Dr Ted agreed with.
I was reassured about the process and how these surgery works and therefore I was fairly calm that it might mean surgery #2

Despite various skin related complications and after many lengthy discussions with Dr Ted I was booked for surgery 2(Free or Charge)

The level of comfort I was provided was again great similar to surgery #1 and the surgery went better than planned. I was pleased with the en result and no motion sickness the second time.

(11/2022) It’s been 7 days post my surgery#2 and the hairline looks dense and blends perfectly with existing hair as if I’ve always had perfect hairline. Similar to the first time I kept smiling all the way home. At the time of writing the review I’m over the moon and can’t wait to finally finish the regrowth cycle and start seeing the final results.

Conclusion
The impact hair Translaplant has on a young person loosing hair differs from person to person. As much I told myself it didn’t affect my confidence but realised it did.
I couldn’t express what difference it makes to me. If anyone looking for hair Translaplant I can with double confidence(pun intended) recommend HQ Clinic. They’ve worked with me throughout the process and essentially true to their words with the service and most importantly the results.

Once again would like to tell each and every member of the HQ team that you are doing a fantastic work. I’m truly grateful to everyone and especially Dr Ted and the technicians 🙏🏽

I’m trans-feminine and my receding hairline had been a huge source of distress and dysphoria for a long time, to the point where I was unable to leave the house without a hat on a breezy day. I had my initial consultation with Xavier before I started medical transition, and was very anxious about trying to explain what I wanted to achieve from a hair transplant. However he immediately understood what I wanted and was able to share the clinic’s experience in working with other trans patients to create more feminine hairlines. Likewise, in my second consultation with Dr Ted, he was very understanding and gave great advice as we designed my new hairline, while also setting realistic expectations of what was achievable.

I had an FUT procedure a few months later, and on the day of the surgery I felt really well looked after by the whole HeadQuarters team. Very little pain or discomfort, and who doesn’t enjoy being told to eat more chocolate?! Throughout the entire process I have felt treated with understanding, kindness and respect. The aftercare and follow-ups have been great and I’ve always received quick replies to emails whenever I’ve had questions or concerns both pre and post surgery.

I’m now 6 months post surgery and am really impressed with the results. The transplanted hair is now pretty much as thick and dense as the surrounding hair. My new hairline looks really natural too. Dr Ted really is a combination of surgeon and artist. It has been a life-changing process which has given me so much more confidence and I’m so glad I chose HeadQuarters to help me get there.

A year ago today you all kindly assisted me with a transplant that I had been putting off due to fear of what people would say, however a year down the line I couldn’t be happier with the decision.

The difference it has made my self confidence and general mood over this past year as it’s grown through has been immeasurable, I am really happy with the result that I have today.

I may see a bit more growth, perhaps not, either way I’m delighted, feel free to use the picture of today (with a blurred face) if it helps anyone else decide to have a transplant with yourselves.

I spoke with 3 different companies before settling with HQ, and the reason was for the honest, genuine care and attention that I was shown before, during and after the procedure.

I was first met by HQ's consultant Richard who took me through the procedure, I was instantly hooked with the transformation HQ could offer me. Lyndsey then instantly kept me up to date up until the day of surgery, even asking me for a personal choice of food for lunch time (it's the little things). Considering I have a needle phobia, Dr Matt and his Technician Sam quite literally delivered the most professional surgical service I've ever encountered. Throughout the day the surgery was made incredibly comfy for me, I was at ease and was constantly reassured. We're three weeks on now and the results are astonishing. I'm really looking forward to seeing the growth throughout the coming months, I feel that I have a new lease of life with a new hairline.

Like many people, I experienced male pattern baldness in my 50's. This was further exacerbated by a head injury that had left me with a bald streak running across the centre of my scalp. At first, I was sceptical about how successful a hair transplant could be, especially at my age, but the results have been simply life-changing.
I did not know about hair transplants, so I booked a consultation with HQ and was surprised to find the conversation centred around me and my needs rather than trying to 'quick sell' me a product. In fact, I was asked to go away and process all the information I had been given and then make a decision as to whether a hair transplant was the right decision for me. I decided to go ahead, and my experience of the procedure was amazing. My procedure took place in my own private theatre, and in addition to my surgeon, I had a number of other dedicated nurses working around me, both processing my harvested hair follicles and keeping an eye on my general welfare. I simply could not have been looked after with more care and attention. Halfway through the procedure, I was taken to an adjoining room with my own dedicated bathroom and locker, and had lunch. The transplant procedure itself was quite enjoyable. There was plenty of time to ask all my questions and I even got to watch Netflix on a big screen to help pass the time. The aftercare was second to none and I was completely looked after throughout my entire hair transplant journey. I cannot recommend HQ highly enough, and will always be grateful for their life changing expertise. Thank you so much guys! A very happy customer!

Firstly I need to say that I cannot fathom how anyone could leave a bad review about this place or their service and staff.... take anything negative with a pinch of salt!
Anyway I'll try to keep it brief but detailed, first video call with Xavier was professional as ever, in person consultation with Dr Ted even better as he explained everything thoroughly, answered all my questions and wasn't pushy to the point he said if I were to go abroad for a cheaper service then maybe look to Portugal rather than Turkey which just shows how genuine he is.
Procedure day was so easy, very little pain, plenty of interaction with Ted and the girls working there so you're made to feel at ease. Refreshments and food supplied plus I had control of the TV remote with access to YouTube, Netflix, Prime etc which resulted in us playing guess the song intro while i was face down at one point.
Aftercare is second to none (which you wouldn't get going abroad), I had my head washed next day, 5 day check up then periodic check ups on months 3, 6, 9 and 12 along with Teds mobile number for any emergencies or questions especially on growth progress.
On 12 months we decided (ok maybe it was me pushing) that I probably needed a bit more originally or that some might not have grown as I like so I was offered a top up at 18 months (last week) this was at a nominal charge to cover instruments and that on the day.
Second procedure went exactly the same as the one 18 months prior to the point for some sadistic reason I'm gutted I wont be going back again for another transplant and that's testament to how at ease Ted and the girls make you feel all day. I actually spent the second one playing DJ on YouTube which the girls thanked me for! haha.
So its another few check ups over the coming months but I cant see what else HQ could do to put my hairline as I want it so they will be just a formality checks fingers crossed.

From the first consultation I had to having my procedure HQ were professional and excellent throughout. On the day of my procedure I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed, and Dr Ted explained everything that was going to happen on the day. I contacted HQHair for a video consultation where I then booked a face to face with Dr Ted the very next day. I explained to him I have always wanted to change my hairline and my hereditary receding hairline which he always caused low self esteem, especially when swimming or if it was a windy day.

I was booked in for surgery the following Friday (very quick turn around) because of a cancellation therefore I jumped at the opportunity.

I was given the option if I wanted to shave my head, which it’s not paramount but I asked if the results would potentially be better or not and weighed it up. In the end the female hair technician shaved my head for me in the clinic in the morning before the surgery.

The surgery itself is not scary at all, not painful. The worst part is the anaesthetic needles but it only lasts a few seconds and then you are completely pain free.

The process is quite long as of course, potentially thousands of hair is taken from a donor area and implanted elsewhere. There is a huge television where you can watch anything you like. I let the guys choose music videos they wanted to play.

2,100 grafts were taken from my donor area and implanted to the front of my hairline whereas I was originally told it would be around approximately between 1400-1600.

The only side effect I had was that I did vomit in the car on the way home. This is relatively common post surgical procedures anyway and was only one occasion.

The whole process was very professional and I cannot thank the team enough for their expertise and reassurance.

It’s currently coming up to 3 months since my surgery and the results are outstanding already. The hair is only going to get thicker and this is extremely exciting.

Don’t get me wrong - I know lots of people who have told me I could have gone to Turkey for half the price which is probably true. But what I do know is that you would NEVER get the experience I received from somewhere overseas. I was even given Dr Teds personal phone number following the surgery incase I had any issues during the night or forthcoming days. The aftercare is something HQ pride themselves in where I had to go back to the clinic on day 5 post surgery for them to wash my hair for the first time.
I’m due to go back in the next two weeks for my 3 month check up.

From the consultation session to now, six months after my surgery, I’ve been hugely impressed and grateful to the HQ team. Everyone has been hugely professional, knowledgeable, patient, and more than happy to help with any question I might have.

On the day of surgery, the team couldn’t have done more to help me feel at ease and make the day run as smooth as possible, helping me to quickly forget about any anxiety I was feeling and showing genuine care about how I was.
