The service I received from Xavier, Dr Ted and all of the technicians was superb. This knowledge and expertise of the staff was outstanding. The day was an absolute breeze and pretty enjoyable, not what I was expecting.

I think if anyone is thinking about having a hair transplant, just do it or at least book a consultation with HQ Hair Transplants. I cannot recommend them enough, I had my surgery about 4 weeks ago and I am very excited to see the results in about 6 months time.

The start of the process was a phone call from Xavier, which was really informative and pressure free. It was a good way to explore the hair transplant process without feeling like you were being given the hard sales pitch.

I had thought long and hard about going abroad (to turkey) as the prices are enough to tempt you, I decided I’d seen more bad stories than good, and after talking to Xavier and Dr Ted I decided HQ was the best place for me.

The day of procedure started with an optional head shave and then a lengthy discussion with Dr Ted about my future hairline and we both came to a decision on one we were both happy looked natural and was realistic. Then it was into the chair and injected with local anaesthetic that was relatively painless and the operation in total lasted from 8am till 4pm with breaks in between. The operation was in a relaxing environment with technicians who were very hard working but also made you feel at ease. I would definitely recommend HQ hair transplants to anybody. They’re very professional whilst making you feel comfortable during the operation and I am loving the results I’m getting already

You get what you pay for -

I’ve had a previous hair transplant in what is described as one of the best if not the best clinic in turkey, (Clinicana) the results were poor. The procedure lasted from about 1pm- 5pm with a conveyor belt of 6 people through the door on the same day. The ‘doctor’ spends approx 5 mins with you designing hair line, takes no input from yourself and more or less will tell you if you don’t like it we can leave it. They sell you the stars to get you over the water. Two technicians basically complete the whole operation and seem disinterested, seeming to be in a rush home for the Turkish version of coronation street. I feel the graft number they quoted me was incorrect and have the feeling they divided quad and triple crafts down to bolster there numbers, I could go on... But basically I class them as dishonest and just want your money and then wash there hands of you. They also forced a review out of me before I could leave the clinic.

So after this experience I thought long and hard about my next hair transplant. (You only get so many grafts from doner area) After extensive research and even toying with the thought of turkey again as I’d possibly just got unlucky as the prices are so attractive. So as I’m sure everyone Is aware once you type anything any to a search engine it’s all you seem to start seeing on your social media platforms, I stumbled across a video with Dr Ted in it, a Harley street trained specialist in hair transplants - FUE. Thought I’d give them a shout. (I had also extensively looked at other UK and Turkish based company’s). Picked up the phone and got Xavier Rush, a cool guy with a no pressure pitch with first hand knowledge of FUE as he’s had it done before. (Had another UK company whom I won’t name fire out an ex car sales man who tried to copy out my hair area on to squared paper as means of trying to sound like he was medically competent in what he was talking about. Ended up looking like a 2 year old was let lose with a pencil)

Then had a consult video call with Dr Ted, this put any reservations I had to bed and gave me the confidence that this was the place.

Booked in with HQ Cardiff, staff were very informative and helpful throughout. Had my hotel cancel as it was mid lock down in Wales so thought that was going to spell the end. Helped sort out accommodation and organised collection and drop off from the airport for me.

Day of op - 8pm - spent about 30-45 mins with Dr Ted going through what i hoped for, he works with you to design as opposed and is extremely knowledgable as you would expect. Also explains in great detail what the day is going to entail.

9-12 - Local anaesthetic added to doner area, worth noting I’m terrible with needles but these are grand, after this you feel nothing at all. Grafts then removed by the punch, which again worth mentioning that the punch they use is much finer and higher quality as i am on day to and the pain from recover is zero and I remember having real issues with the rear of my head for 6-7 days after turkey.

12-12-15 - bit of lunch and a well earned Diazepam given to chill you out.

12.15 - 5.30 - walked back into the room and with three members off staff meticulously counting and checking the crafts under the microscope to double check quality and quantity of hairs per craft. transplant area given local anaesthetic again, not painful and Incisions made. All by a doctor Ted. (In Turkey the technicians who needs no qualifications what so ever are left to to this) Then in shifts of 45 mins three technicians all with 10 years experience or more, one doing crown two doing front implant the crafts with great care. Worth noting the technicians are all quality, great personality’s and very friendly girls who are passionate about what they are doing.

What Dr Ted quoted me initially he ended up extracting and implanting 30% more crafts so as you could imagine I was chuffed.

All in all there was a Harley street DR and 6 techs working all day on me, one procedure per day, all attention on you. Vs a factory in turkey were they have the same two girls doing the op with no dr even checking there work and they try to tell me in 5 hours they done more crafts what I had done in the UK - don’t listen to all that stuff they tell you about ‘4000-5000’ crafts in turkey - complete lies.

If your struggling for money, head quarters offer a 0% Apr payment plan. Use what you were gona spend in turkey - give it to these guys and pay the rest off.

After a lot of research, I settled on HQ. I wasn’t disappointed. Professional, friendly and fantastic customer care. The team work in complete harmony and the day itself was genuinely enjoyable. Always available for advice during the after care, with the same exceptionally high level of expertise and attention to detail that is a feature of their work. Top Marks.

Through the consultation process I felt really at ease with the approach both Xavier and Dr Ted took. I didn’t feel pressured and there was no sales approach for me to book which really stuck for me as a positive. Many clinics try a hard sale but HQ are all about what they can do for you and the decision is entirely yours to go through with it. There is no cold calling or pestering for you to book.

On the morning of my hair transplant the apprehension was well and truly set in. Chelsey and Dr Ted’s interpersonal skills were absolutely amazing and really helped to settle any nerves that I had.

Dr Ted sat and explained how the day would go. Explaining the medications/pain relief I would be receiving, re-iterating the procedure I was having done and drew on the new hair line. I was able to adjust the hair line to how I wanted and what I was happy with.

Once in the chair, Dr Ted talked me through what he was doing and once the area was all numb I didn’t feel anything for the rest of the day. I was so comfortable I drifted in and out of sleep through the procedure. In a bizarre way, it is quite therapeutic.

Lunch was provided and there was plenty to chose from. I was well cared for and informed throughout the whole process. I am currently on day 2 post surgery and I can’t stop looking at my new hairline. Everyone who has seen it has been astonished by Dr Ted’s neat and clean work, I would highly recommend Dr Ted and the HQ Team, I can’t thank you all enough.

I feel like I have to write a review as I want people who are thinking of getting it done to have some guidance and hopefully my story can help. I want to stop people from getting ripped off and getting botched jobs. I started losing my hair at 20 and have been using minoxidil to slow my hair loss down. Now 29 it’s got worse. I’ve always wanted to go through with a hair transplant but I was scared and nervous, but still thought let me just research all clinics, both in the UK and abroad.After a whole year of research into clinics both in the UK and abroad I came across DR Ted. I had loads of consultations in London and some online in Turkey but I was always scared to go through with it as I didn't want a botched job and pay loads to correct it. I decided to set up a meet with DR Ted as when looking at his work the results he had managed to gain were consistently impressive. When I met him, he genuinely cared about my hair loss experience and wanted to help me in the right way. It was never about the money like other clinics that I consulted with. No sales team, just people who stand by their work. I live in London and decided to come up to Cardiff to get it done and the experience was really easy and professional. It’s only been a couple days after the surgery but I like what Im seeing so far. Fingers crossed on some great results in the coming months. Also for peace of mind after the surgery Dr Ted gave me his number if any issues arrived. After my consultation with other clinics, no one wanted to offer me that type of support. I’ve watsapped him a couple times to make sure I'm doing the right after care and he responds immediately. You have to trust your doctor when it comes to a procedure like this, it can affect the rest of your life and Im happy to say that they are the best around. If your thinking about getting it done. My advice is to really do your research no matter how long it takes and make sure you contact HQ, they genuinely care and will give you the RIGHT insight. You can trust them all the way !!

Would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone that considering having a hair transplant. From the start to now ( 8 months after procedure ) I have been given the best customer service you can receive, Xavier, Dr Ted Miln and the girls have all been awesome to deal with, making the experience very comfortable and stress free!

Like many men of my age, I started to experience male pattern baldness and at first thought I would just have to accept my fate of having thinning hair. But all that changed when I was introduced to Xavier and the team and realised that there was an efficient and extremely affordable solution to my problem.
If you are going to get a hair transplant, then you really do want to make sure it is done properly and undertaken by seasoned experts in the field. From my very first consultation with Dr Ted, I knew this was the clinic and the team I wanted to undertake my transplant. There was no hard sell, in fact I was offered a number of other solutions, other than a hair transplant, exploring what would work best for me as an individual, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ treatment. The information was incredibly useful, informative, and at the end of my consolation with Dr Ted I was invited to have a think about how I would like to move forward, without having to commit on the day.
I did decide to go forward with a hair transplant, with the whole procedure undertaken in a single day. The procedure was relatively painless, and the results are absolutely fantastic. I simply could not have been better looked after on the day. In addition, I was able to come in to the surgery the following morning for a check up; to have my transplant checked and my hair washed safely and professionally. The whole process was sleek and professional, and I could not recommend HQ highly enough if you were considering a hair transplant for yourself.

I started the process last year by meeting with Xavier and then another appointment with Dr. Ted. They advised me of my options and did not run any kind of hard sell.

I then had my procedure done on the 6th March. It was a long day but the staff involved, made the whole thing dramatically more comfortable. After care was also good with calls and emails to check up.

Six months by later my results are unbelievably good and they are still improving.

I wholeheartedly recommend HQ and I personally would not go anywhere else.

The whole process was just brilliant, from my first consultation with Dr Ted, through the transplanting prosess to the aftercare. I still can't beleive that I spent so long dithering before I decided to have the procedure. No pain, no drama, appart from the dramatic difference in my head of hair of course.
