Absolute con artists, much of the same from other reviews, they need locking up, why would anyone pay £39 a month subscription for this kind of service, I used it once then cancelled straight away now I have been charged a total of £68.

You have never responded to my email requesting a refund, so you don't always respond, it's taken you a month to respond to this review.

Same scam as all other users. Only came to light today when I looked at my bank statement. I paid 50p for a search then found £39.00 taken from my account on 11/11/2024 and then a further £34.99 taken on 12/11/2024 for BUYSUBSCRIPTION. I rang today and spoke to a lady who said that I would not get a refund until I raise a dispute with my bank. The dispute form is 13 pages long!! but I am determined to get my money back. I will let Trustpilot know how I get on but have to fill in this wretched form first. DO NOT PAY ANYTHING TO INFORECORD.COM - THEY ARE NOTHING BUT ROBBERS>

I paid 50p on 12th October with INFORECORD to check up on a number that I suspected was a Scammer. !!
Seems I used a Scammer company to do that. I did not sign up for anything else. Two days later on the 14th Oct. they took £39.00 and I sent them the following message:

I now see that you have charged me £39.00 on the 14th October and I demand that you REFUND it immediately and remove me from your list. I object to being Scammed this way.

I have received no reply from them and today I find that they took a further £39.00 from my Account yesterday 12th November.

They are truly dishonest Scammers.

UPDATE: I found the following phone number for INFO-RECORD 020 4525 5459 and was so angry I called them this afternoon 13.11.2024 to demand a refund of the two payments they took. I have now received confirmation emails that they will refund both within 7 days.

Please please do not do any searching with this company. I was searching for a friend. It supposedly came up with connections. It was 50p to get the information which then turned out to be American I did not ask for American searches. Then today I noticed they have taken £39 from my bank. I have had to report these scammers to the bank. And cancel my card. This is a scam warning people

Same experience as others who have written. £0.50 payment for a UK search data..then a further £39.00 attempt to take another payment.

On October 9, I spent 50p on a search (which unfortunately happened to be on an American database that wasn't much help here in the UK). They took my 50p, and a few days later, they tried to add another £39.00 charge. Now, they're attempting to charge me once more. These individuals are truly audacious scammers.

DO NOT PURCHASE SEARCHES FROM THIS COMPANY!
I paid 50p for a search (which turned out to be on an American database so useless in the UK). They charged me 50p then a couple of days later, they charged me another £39.00 - just like others have reported.
Fortunately, my credit card company thought it was suspicious and blocked it but I now have the hassle of waiting for a new card and changing all the automatic payments etc. I don't know how or why they're still trading.

This company took £39 from my account without any authorisation. I have received nothing for this or even a receipt. I don’t even know what they do. Do not get involved with this company.

Update: Dec 2024. I figured out how the scam works. Why so many people fall for it! My bank statement says “info-record” which is a website with a massive sign saying “50p and then £39” a month. I think to myself, “how could I not see that?”. How could I be so stupid? The reason I could not see it is because I did not pay 50p on that site. I paid £0.50 on this mirror web site site “info-findr” where the text saying 0.50 to £39 is tiny and hard to see. The sites look similar and so when you figure out you have been scammed months later, you just assume that what it says on your bank statement is true and that you visited info-record and therefore it’s your fault for not paying attention. I think they call this “bait and switch”? NatWest refunded my money but I bet many didn’t even claim because the trick is clever.

Update. Seven acts of theft since March 2024. Total of £273. I have severe autism and ADHD so I guess that makes me an easy target. This company repeatedly polled my account all month until there was sufficient cash to score a hit. Go back through all your transactions because the moment they got my card details, they immediately began requesting money. I imagine this is some overseas organised crime group. First registered in London, now moved to Ireland. They need to be shut down. What makes me sad is that there are reports of fraud on here since January 2024. Why are the card companies not doing anything? I have reported this company to AWS web services who host the website and given them a link to this page. I encourage others to do the same. Ps, why do all the positive reviews have Indian names and poorly written English with GB as the location? The reviews used on the company website do not appear on trust pilot. Furthermore, the following text on the home page that is evidently used to dupe victims, specifically, “try our no commitment subscription“ is a deliberate contradiction of terms. A subscription that automatically renews is by definition a commitment. The owner of the website is therefore guilty of fraud by deception, a criminal act punishable by five years in prison.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, this is a scam. They take your money, initial trial of £0.50. Then there's no way of cancelling any future payments.

They have a standard reply to these reviews, saying contact them if you have a problem. But there's no reply.

Paid 50p for a search that gave no result and then find 30 days later I've been charged £39 twice.
Person on the phone was rude and argumentative. She hung up.
I've tried to cancel using the cancel button on their website, but it doesn't recognise my details.
Complete and utter charlatans who should be in jail.

Say they have found number. However, after a token payment of £0.50 has been made they say no record.

TWO DAYS LATER THIS COMPANY TRIED TO TAKE £39.00 FROM MY ACCOUNT.
Fortunately the Credit Card Company referred the matter asking if this payment should be made

the search 50p was non productive anyway -- be aware of the small print in terms and conditions people 48hrs and no email confirmation of your order to prompt ---I agree with all other reviews this is a Scam

I had the same experience as everyone else. I didn't mind paying 50p to them for being unable to find details of the person I was tracing .... But when I looked at my Credit Card statement they had taken an additional £39. I was not made aware of any additional monthly payments.
They are a complete SCAM - avoid

I have just checked my rarely used M&S CC last genuine transaction being Oct 2023. I have 4 x transactions from this company amounting to £79.00. I have not used this provider not searched Dublin and have no idea where they have come from. All I know is the reference on my account which appears to be the same as the reviews below. I shall be contacting my Bank first thing tomorrow and emailing the company using the address in the emails below. Life is hard enough without these scamming reprobates taking hard earned money. I have tried to cancel and not recognising my email address which proves I have never subscribed. Disgusting

I have reported to Fraud team at my provider.

What a shambles - I unsuccessfully used this site for a 50p search and spotted the fact that I had unintentionally signed up for an indefinite period at £39 per month. In accordance with their instructions I immediately cancelled this arrangement via their website.
Despite this they have made 2 attempts to extract £39 from my Bank Account.
You will note the way that they answer every criticism on here with the same message.

Tried using this after paying for trial period and kept being redirected to trial fee page eventually managed a couple of searches with just one name recognised but no details. Sent several communications via website and email all ignore tried phoning eventually got a most unhelpful agent who cancelled and told me no refunds as I was outside 48hr trial. Do not use this company or site.
Update - Have now received a refund after suppling proof of attempted of cancelling.
I would still be cautious to use this site as I got more hits from alternatives

If I could put zero I would. Like all the other reviews it’s a scam. I’ve tried to cancel the payments going out of my account since March. I’ve emailed ‘customer service’ about three times and have yet to get an answer. I wasn’t even able to get the info I needed, and it did not state clearly that a continuous payment of £39 would be taken every month. Absolute joke.

I was directed to this company by DATAAPP1 when making a people search and they did not find the person that I was looking for. Yet after paying 50p for the search they charged me £39.00 as a subscription that I did not agree to sign up for. They are a complete scam - do not use.
