Return of product - opened box
Bought a powerbank for someone as a gift. They did not like the look of the product and I attempted a return. Because the package had been OPENED it was no longer eligible for return. Never been used,in MINT condition,but because the person I gifted it to had opened the box and I was honest about this, a return was refused. Just a note to customers that this is their policy as I was not aware when I made the purchase.

Bought a faulty charging block at LGW. It wouldn't charge in France. Emailed InMotion with receipt. They sent me a return label for me to return product and returned my money. No hassle. I had expected hassle. I thought I would need to claim via Amex. InMotion apologised for faulty product and just refunded me for the purchase.

Very poor customer service after bad purchase problem…they not following up when they say they will. Will not be shopping at i motion Heathrow again as no way to go back to store if there’s a problem and customer services just fob you off on watsapp.

Refurbished Samsung s21
I bought a Samsung galaxy S21 on clearance sale at Dublin Airport. Few days later when I tried to transfer data I realised the phone wasn't working, it wouldn't turn on. I took it to a phone specialist to see if they can help turning on the phone. Right away they advised me that the phone I bought thinking it was new, it was actually used and refurbished. They showed me that the phone was opened and looked up the history of the phone which clearly showed it was bought in 2021. With this information I decided to return the phone right away for a refund. I also bought phone case and protective glass that now I will have no use of. I did get my refund in a few weeks but it doesn’t make it right that they sold me a phone under false pretence of being new. Inmotion at Dublin Airport did not disclose this information at the time I was buying the phone and I would have not choose to buy the phone if I knew it was used and refurbished. Now I ordered the Samsung s24 from the official Samsung website for a little bit more than what this refurbished and used S21 cost. I will never purchase anything else of a higher value at Inmotion.

Would be better to be able to return items to W H Smith stores
Beware if you buy at InMotion in the Airport you can't return it in store
If you buy something in the airport store you are not able to return it in store. This was very annoying as I tried to return it in store initially, but couldn't.
It's part of the WHSmith group, so you have to email and ask what to do with the item. I emailed twice with no reply. I then tried the online chat. I did finally get a response and then had to mail the item to a UK address for it to be assessed. Once I did get a reply the staff were friendly and responsive. I did get a refund for the item and the postage, but what a faff... I could have returned it in store the next day when travelling back through the airport - instead the process took from 20th March until 14th May to resolve.

Per lo più la scatola era stata chiusa con lo scotch, evidentemente era già aperta.

When is a Price Match not a Price Match?
At East Midlands Airport I needed an iPhone charger. I asked the Inmotion sales assistant if their prices matched The Apple Store (MagSafe Charger) and was assured they did.
Before buying I double checked and went onto the Apple Website to find Innmotion were 15% more expensive. I asked them to honour their price match to the Apple price and was told that their price match "Was Only For Items About £60.00".
We all know we get our trousers taken down by Airport Terminal retailers but please be honest while you do it.

Faulty Headphones but good Customer Service
I bought a set of headphones from Inmotion at Manchester Airport, but they developed a fault. As I couldn't return them to Terminal 2 Airside, I was told to return them for investigation to Inmotion's Head Office.
They promptly refunded me the price of the headphones and the cost of postage. So I was very pleased with the service I received.
Slow response but full refund in the end
Contact numbers listed on Gatwick website are incorrect or don’t answer. Slow response from email, needed to return faulty item by post, at least it was free post but process needed chasing at all points. Did finally refund though
Hassle free returns
When I purchased something from Gatwick airport duty free that wasn't required I was worried I wasn't going to be able to return it. Fortunately, after a search I found all the info required and emailed. They got back in touch quite fast a arranged the return and refund. Good service.

I bough a Fit bit few months ago at Gatwick which happen to be faulty. It took a while to hear back from Inmotion customer service, i thought i would never hear from them. However, once they picked up my query it was very quickly resolved. After the initial few weeks of no response the communication was great and I got my refund in no time.
Airport purchase
I bought an item from the airport that was supposedly to be compatible with my iPhone, this was not the case.
I email on a Sunday when I retuned with my issue wanting to return this item, I had to WhatsApp on the Tuesday because I have no email reply. WhatsApp this was responded very quickly and reported to the relevant team whom emailed me back the next day they asked for phots of unopened item and as I told them it was open they understood
Within a week I got my money back great customer service once I got to the right team
