The itinerary was meticulously planned and described by Inntravel. Wonderful views and a variety of terrain. And options for the footsore. The hotels were excellent, mainly family run, and comfortable. The food was top quality. The transfers were reliable. This was a really great holiday, memorable for all the right reasons.

There is much camaraderie between the many walkers in the hotels and along the route. The practical arrangements are good. The majority of the walk is along concrete paths and tarmac roads and there are usually other walkers in sight. As a hiker more used to footpaths and views over open countryside, I was not expecting this.

I have been on maybe five different trips with Inntravel. They have slowly gotten worse over the last 10 years. More and more sloppy. This year we went to Lake Iseo, in Italy. They booked a hotel that had no shower- only a tub without a curtain. For the kind of money they charged that was absurd. I called their hotline, but they did absolutely nothing. They blamed the hotel. But i checked with the hotel, and they informed inntravel, but Inntravel found it convenient not to let me know. For me, a shower is basic. If they tell you ahead of time, that is different, but they did not. Then they tried to blame the hotel. Pathetic. Save your money, go with another vendor.

We took a tour in Spain several years ago that was nice. This time we paid the booking fee for a trip to Portugal. They said they couldn't confirm our accommodations and would get back to us in a couple of days. It's been nearly 3 weeks and we haven't heard anything. They won't respond to my requests for an update. Totally ghosted.

The holiday was well organised, and the travel pack comprehensive. The Tweed and Scottish Borders vacation was relaxing and interesting, with excellent hosts, comfortable surroundings and delicious meals at both hotels.
The walks we completed were leisurely, peaceful with interesting diversions to historical sites and beautiful gardens.
Whilst in Peebles pop down the road from The Tontine Hotel to Francos' pizzeria by the bridge, which was authentically Italian, fun, with an engaging host who loves cycling and has vintage race cycle memorabilia hung all around his restaurant. Book to avoid disappointment.

It is worth the climb up the hill over the crest to see the Horsburgh Castle ruins at the very top. Magnificent views around the countryside from the Castle summit. We met an American tourist couple on the track below the hill who couldn't locate or see the Castle, so we climbed the hill and assured the couple that the Castle was hidden out of sight over the false crest. They climbed to join us and revealed that one of them was called Horsburgh and a descendant of the Horsburgh Clan, having made this journey to Scotland and this hill to visit the home of her ancestors.

Both stays at our hotel accommodations were delightful. The staff were very welcoming, attentive and considerate.

This was our 6th Inntravel Trip. All have been great, with helpful staff, great walking notes and helpful information. Highly recommended!

We stayed in some lovely hotels, enjoyed delicious meals and explored the region with well planned walks. Some were tougher than expected as it was very hot - mid thirties - but a great introduction to this wine producing area.

We’ve actually lost count of the number of Inntravel holidays we have done but think it’s 20 something.
This year it was The Wachau Valley Austria a new route this year.
Each holiday is different in their own way but always great walking notes and great accommodation.

Efficient, helpful staff at booking; great hotel; clear instructions to follow for walks, all made for a great holiday experience from start to finish. I would have no reservations recommending Inntravel.

This is our second holiday with Inntravel. We booked the High Bernese Oberland holiday. This holiday was showing as unavailable on the website but I emailed to enquire anyway, and Inntravel explained that the offer had been withdrawn due to lack of accommodation availability and offered to keep me updated should this change. I was very pleased when they got in touch a few weeks later after they had secured hotel availability and we booked it. The holiday itself was amazing - well-curated hikes, comfortable hotels, excellent instructions showing good up to date local knowledge eg about trail closures. The scenery was truly spectacular. It was an inn-to-inn hiking holiday and the luggage transfers worked smoothly even in remote mountain villages. I would recommend this company and would book a holiday with them again.

We booked a holiday in Italy and paid the full amount, only to hear nothing for 16 days. Eventually I managed to get through on the phone only to be told the hotel had no availability. Astonishing that Inntravel didn't think they needed to tell me this and instead I had to phone them multiple times to find out. I see several other similar issues in these recent reviews which Inntravel have promised to "investigate" but it seems no improvements have been made. I would not plan to use them again.

Ten days after booking a rail holiday from you, we are still waiting for an itinerary for our trip, the first one contained glaring mistakes, despite having paid fully. Minimal communication from you, generic emails don’t count. Going by our experience I’d find it hard to recommend this company.

I’m undergoing exactly the same experience as Lucy Yeeles did. We booked a holiday in Derbyshire and paid the deposit. Final details still not confirmed and we’re due to start our holiday on the 10th September. Even sent a letter to the Inn Travel Chief Executive on Friday and whilst he hasn’t had much time to respond a phone call of reassurance would be a step in the right direction.

We booked the Lakes and Castles cycling holiday with Inn Travel. I can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience. Every member of staff we dealt with were helpful, professional and friendly. The holiday was amazing, helped by fabulous weather. The rides were well planned, with easy to follow routes. The scenery was spectacular and the hotels perfect. It was reassuring that when we arrived at each hotel our luggage was waiting for us in reception.
I would highly recommend Inn Travel if planning a cycling holiday.

Poor communication and a complete lack of ability to confirm a hotel booking for over 14 days, despite having taken a deposit. Then when having asked to be updated by a specific date on progress or to refund my deposit they failed to call me and I had to chase them only to be put on hold and told some one would phone me back.
Everyone on the phones is very polite but completely in effective, blaming a new computer system is not a valid excuse.
I would not recommend this company

We had used Inntravel twice before and been very pleased with our holidays. On this occasion we took a week-long walking holiday in August 2025 based in Pertisau-am-Achensee (Hotel Wiesenhof) in the Austrian Tyrol.

The family hotel - location, staff/service, facilities, food, in fact everything - was excellent. As ever, the hikes were well thought-through and well-documented with spectacular views. Superb weather helped! Inntravel holiday documentation included lots of local ideas in case one did not wish to walk. Travel logistics UK to/from Austria and Pertisau were seamless. We would certainly return!

We went on the Dordogne walking holiday to Rocamadour. Each aspect was excellent. The arrangements, walking notes, and accommodation were all exemplary. Add in 2 nights in a hotel with Michelin-starred food and the holiday was complete.
We have used Inntracel repeatedly in the past and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a self guided cycle holiday in Slovenia with Inntravel. This is the second cycle trip we have made with Inntravel and this was just as excellent as the first one. The routes were excellent, the information provided was really comprehensive, the hotels and restaurant recommendations were also really great. Thank you for a lovely break

From the initial enquiry, the booking,including extras, to the informative notes on the locations and walks. Added to that the newly introduced 'Inntravel App', the company had thought of every aspect of a perfectly planned holiday.

Great flight by new airline, great hotel in a lovely setting and views to wonder at. What more could you ask for!

We've used Inntravel for a number of years now and have always had great experiences in spring/summer and winter. We choose to leave the travel bookings with Inntravel and even when a rail strike in Germany affected our homeward journey on a recent trip Inntravel efficiently organised every step of the alternative option to get us back home (bus, taxi and air). Great accommodation has always been been a feature of Inntravel holidays, along with helpful staff at the end of the phone, detailed walking notes (including for exploring cities) and useful local information. Our most recent holidays this summer in Gargnano (the Quiet Side of Lake Garda) and Ortisei (A Stroll in the Italian Dolomites) were fabulous. The family run hotels we stayed in (Hotel Gardenia al Lago and the Rainell Dolomites Retreat) were wonderful. We're looking forward to planning more trips with Inntravel.
