From the beginning of the booking experience throughout the entire trip from beginning to end this was a fantastic experience! The individual support we received throughout the entire process was fantastic! Byway was there for us on a personal, individual basis 24/7 and helped us immensely! What a fantastic trip! We are already planning out next one. We wholeheartedly recommend Byway!!!

We knew where we wanted to go but were unsure how to plan it and Byway did all of that for us! They took away the frustration and aggravation of checking trains, journeys and hotels. When an issue was encountered by them they immediately found a way round it. They kept us informed every step of the way and provided useful hints and tips. Neither of us had ever used Interrail before but their instructions video was brilliant!! The hotels they chose were, in the most part, absolutely perfect! This was the first time we had been on a rail journey like this and had left us thinking where we will be going to next!!! Brilliant company!!!

Just brilliantly organised and supported. We decided some time ago not to fly anymore and this is a great alternative. This is the second time we've done a Byway train trip and both have gone really well. The bonus was that we were told after the holiday that we have saved lots of CO2 by travelling by train.

We recently took the imperial cities of Europe trip booked through byways travel, booking the trip was very easy and communication was excellent. The train journeys we took and the seat reservations made were great we had first class seats on every train and a private cabin on the sleeper train from Vienna to Amsterdam, The Accommodation was mixed, in Brussels, Berlin, Prague and Vienna the hotels were very good however the hotels in Budapest and Amsterdam were not in my opinion of the same standard for me and my partner so we booked into other hotels at our own cost and Byways did all they could by giving us a bit of compensation for this, I would advise anyone booking this type of holiday to review the choice of hotel you are allocated when you book as this can be changed and not wait until you have arrived to find it is not suitable as we did. I would thoroughly recommend Byways Travel as they made everything so easy and gave great support when it was required.

I had a great trip due to the organisation and support from the Byway team. Hotel bookings trains and connections all first class and when things didn’t go according to plan A Byway were quickly there with an excellent plan B. All of which added to the overall experience.

Excellent route planner, and excellent in-trip support. Eurostar cancelled our return train halfway through the holiday, but Byway remedied this within five minutes of forwarding Eurostar's email to them.

We considered booking our trip directly, but having priced it up, Byway's price seemed reasonable, and definitely worth having their support service as a backup if things go wrong.

This is the first time we have used ByWay Travel. Great company! The booking process for easy enough. We travelled from London to Brussels on Eurostar +, then onto Bruges by train. We were booked into a 4 star boutique hotel, which was lovely. Location of the hotel was centralised, so everything was nearby. About a month before our trip they held weekly seminars to go through the train app we needed for our Travel. Also there was WhatsApp support for people that needed it if required.

Excellent organisation of a complicated itinerary for our trip through France, Italy and Switzerland. The booking process was very straightforward, with careful explanations about what to do when in preparation. On the trip itself, the Byway team were so helpful and quick to respond to our querries along the way about managing Interrail tickets and train schedules. We felt very well looked after by them.

We booked the Byway trip to Marrakesh. My husband and young adult children were somewhat sceptical about the amount of time we would spend on the train. No need to fear - we all loved it. A great adventure crossing through France and Spain and then catching the ferry to north Africa. Adequate time spent in each place (although we did extend our stay in Fez to 3 nights rather than 2). As well as all the beautiful places we passed through, the travel was also a great part of the adventure. Would strongly recommend this trip. Byways made everything so very easy - even details like how to book Paris Metro tickets ahead so you did not have to queue at a ticket machine on arrival. It was great fun each evening downloading all the tickets and speculating on the next day of exploration. So sad to have to fly home due to time pressures. Would highly recommend this travel company.

Fantastically organised. Itinery was great and easy to follow directions. Locations and hotels were fab and all train tickets booked with seating. Caledonian sleeper was cancelled at midnight in kings cross. There was no support from them but lynne at byway rearranged onward travel and refunded our emergency accomodation. Byway support was fantastic.

Booked our 2week holiday through Byway travel company. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. All our queries were answered promptly. Train journeys were organised and everything explained clearly. All hotels were perfect and location of all really convenient.

From first enquiry to arrival at my final destination, the efficiency and support of the Byway team was exemplary. During the trip there were a few hiccups, neither their fault nor mine, and there was always a speedy response and resolution.
During the planning and pre-travel periods, the team members were available, helpful and responsive.

Great way to see more of the country as you travel. We saw the bulk of the UK, Scotland and ended with a ferry ride to Ireland. All accomodations were cosy; descriptions were accurate; the one time we required support, they were right there !

Really superb service from start to finish. Really enjoyed the hotel they arranged in Barcelona, which was so well situated for the train station and city. When I missed a connection due to a train delay, the online help was very helpful and reassuring meaning problems were quickly solved. I would highly recommend Byway for independant train travellors

Visited some wonderful places, stayed in fantastic hotels, with great advice and support from Byway. We had some ideas of where we wanted to go but they made the trip extra special by suggesting stops and navigating the travel for us and offering hotel suggestions.

This was our first holiday abroad since 2020 and our priority was to travel in a climate friendly way. Byway tailored our holiday around our preferred travel dates, booking trains and hotels along the way and informing us about any timetabling issues promptly so these could be dealt with straightaway. The journey guide enabled us to load our tickets when needed secure in the knowledge that they were there on a WhatsApp chat if required. We were impressed with the quality of the hotels we stayed in and the trains booked for us, often first class. Our first holiday will certainly not be our last holiday with Byway.
