There's all the right equipment, its clean , staff are friendly, place is refurbished , people are nice, the gym is great and they also have great facilities!

JD gym is a great place to work out
JD gym is a great place to work out. It has a lot of different equipment to choose from, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good gym to join.

I wish there was more of the same machines, there’s only one machine for abs and it’s always busy. I also wish they had more cleaning stations around the rooms

When it comes to an Abs workout, please do not hesitate in asking one of our personal Trainers in Bristol. We have no doubt that they would have a number of exercises up their sleeve that would have even more benefits than the Abdominal machine.

This was my first experience of a gym
This was my first experience of a gym. I was anxious but found it easy to access with the app and was impressed with how spacious it was inside. I was able to use the machines I wanted. My only problem was when I went to exit I had no internet on my phone so couldn’t connect to the app to exit but luckily the person I was with informed me there was WiFi so I joined the WiFi and was able to use the app to exit but was a bit stressed for a few minutes thinking I was stuck inside the gym and there wasn’t any staff there that I had seen the whole time I was there.

As much as people love the gym, we would never keep someone trapped inside one of our facilities.
We are happy that you now know about the guest Wi-Fi. However to save anymore potential stress, we also have a 'Press For Assistance' green button which will alert the staff in the gym to come and assist you. You will find this near the entrance/turnstiles.

I really like the gym hall for its…
I really like the gym hall for its equipment and spacious layout. However, I’ve been facing an issue with the Wi-Fi—it’s been three days without a connection. I understand that efforts are being made to fix it, but I rely on the internet to access training videos on YouTube, and using my mobile data isn’t an option due to poor signal.
Additionally, I’ve noticed that there is no trainer available in the gym, especially when new members join. For example, I had to resort to YouTube to learn proper techniques myself. This could be risky for new members who might not know the correct form or techniques, leading to potential injuries.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to hear the WIFI hasn't been working on your phone. For any updates or support on this matter you can speak with a member of staff in the gym or email the manager on bristol@jdgyms.co.uk
We would recommend that you book in with an instructor for an induction. This will enable you to have a full tour of the machines and areas you are particularly interested in and help you familiarise yourself with the techniques needed to use them. Anyone can book in for an induction when they join. Please speak with a member of staff who will organise this for you.

Great gym
I go to the gym really late after midnight, it is absolutely dead which is nice for me as I am not confident and want to lose weight. I really have nothing to complain about as I really have no issues but the only thing that is a little annoying is that the changing rooms are closed during the late hours, meaning I have to get changed in the toilets. Not only that there is only one shower in the toilets that you can use but it just feels awkward as I don’t want to rush, but feel I have to just because it’s the only bathroom that people can use.

Hello! Thanks for leaving us some feedback, we appreciate it.
We are a 24-hour gym in Bristol, but due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed t for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you and you'll have complete privacy in there.

Hi there,
Been looking for a group exercise there is always a schedule in board but when you actually go to the gym there was no group exercise happening. Im wondering why is that?This happened twice already and even stayed there for an hour to wait if there will be a next schedule for exercise but nothing happens 😊

For the price it's a good gym, but not perfect
For the price it's a good gym, but not perfect. There are a lot of types of machines and a lot of free weights, but for most of the machines there are just 1 of each kind. Some of the machines it's hard to know how to use it and there are no instructions and gym instructors are rarely seen. The gym is kept a good temperature and music isn't too loud. Phone signal doesn't work in the gym which might cause an issue using the gym's app. There is free WiFi, but it's slow. Some areas of the gym are dark and I need to use another light to see the numbers. It's definitely worth it for the price and it's nice that there is no long term contract.

Great experience
Great experience.
Not a fan of QR Code or bust approach as my gym partner's code wasn't working and only one of us could enter. Thankfully there was a cleaner on shift to open but if it were 2am or so for exqmple, I'm not confident the issue may have turned out so smoothly

If you are not at JD gyms, Fishpond, Bristol, you are missing a lot!
If you are not at JD gyms, Fishpond in Bristol, you do not know what you are missing. Recently I have been having a lil bit of high blood pressure and a high pulse rate. I have been consistent with the regular gym activities daily having registered with JD gyms. I am proud to say here my blood pressure which was high and unstable and the pulse rate, has normalised. Secondly, I usually snore each time I slept. Just last weekend, my wife asked me to remind her of a gist while we were enjoying our gym session, and after the gym sessions, to my surprise she told me I used to snore most times whenever I was asleep, and affirmed the snoring has completely stopped, with a smooth, crisp breathe, as she has been monitoring my general wellness, being a healthcare professional. I give God all the glory. Visit JD gyms today! If you haven't signed up, please do so. This is a sincere review, and not a make up or paid review, but a genuine one.

Better equipment than PureGym , Clean , lights are not too bright and good atmosphere the only negative loud music please can you lower the music volume so we can listen to our own music or podcasts
