The Jokey Poet was such a lovely night out — charming, personal, funny and incredibly clever. There was something really special about the way the humour felt so natural while still having plenty of warmth and heart behind it.
It was the kind of show that made you laugh but also left you thinking afterwards. The personal touches made it feel genuine and relatable, and the cleverness of the writing really stood out.
A brilliant, entertaining evening and definitely a show I’d recommend.

Bruce is the most wholesome man I have met in a long time. He spoke to us on the street in front of the venue and got us to turn around in the next corner because he seemed like such a sweet man. Had a good laugh and got some good morals to take home and a children’s book I will definitely use if I should ever have kids. To be a (grand)father as Bruce portrays himself would be my life’s joy.
The show was funny, lighthearted and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone in Edinburgh.

I saw Bruce as part of Edinburgh fringe in the raging bull. If you’re looking for a comedy show that captures the past present and future in poetry form he’s your man ! The show includes crowd work that gets you laughing and reminiscing all at the same time. For a show that’a donation on the door it’s a must see !!! Get yourself to the Raging bull from the 19-30th of August!

Bruce provided a lovely change of pace for something I would have been sceptical of before as its out of the usual type of shows which I would see. But after the initial minutes his storytelling and delivery had me hooked in and I enjoyed a melancholic evening with some lovely laughs, stories and songs. Very happy I went

Heartwarming, funny and entertaining poems and songs from The Jokey Poet who you can call Bruce. I can highly recommend his show with much silly laugh out loud jokes and songs with memories from a time gone by.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Jokey Poets performance last night. He has such charisma and charm and loved all his stories. His poetry was hilarious and I especially enjoyed the stories and songs from his youth. What a wonderful way to spend an hour being entertained by a very witty and charming performer.

Great heart warming experience, with relatable funny poetry. A collection of songs,spoken word and story telling. Its a must watch entertaining show that will appeal to all.
