We recently had the pleasure of working with Jorro Ltd for the installation of solar panels for our new self build home in the Highlands, Scotland, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and professional.

Steve McMahon, the Technical Sales Director, was our main contact and to be honest we liked him from the moment he arrived to talk us through what Jorro offered. His expertise and attention to detail were evident from our very first meeting. Steve took the time to understand our specific needs and provided tailored advice that ensured we made an informed decision.
Steve recommended a system that was perfectly suited for us and our lands unique layout, using one of our paddocks for the panels to be sited as it is south facing.

The installation process was equally impressive. The team arrived on time and worked efficiently to complete the installation in just one day. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and kept us informed every step of the way.
Today at 3.30pm we had 4kW coming off the panels, we are at the end of February and in Scotland, we couldn't be any happier with that!

We feel confident that we made the right choice by choosing Jorro Ltd, and we would highly recommend them to anyone considering solar panel installation.

We were referred to Jorro (and 2 other firms) by our energy supplier (Octopus) when we decided to install solar panels and a battery.

Jorro were magnificent throughout. All the way from the first discussions to follow up after the installation was complete we could not be happier. Our main point of contact was Steve McMahon who as Technical Sales Director came to the site visit, outlined our options and made sure we made an informed decision on the system that best suited our needs. Other companies seemed more keen to sell us a system that would be administratively simple for them, but Jorro were very much led by giving us tailored advice (e.g. our house faces East and West so they recommended a large system with panels on both sides of our roof). Steve's attention to detail and knowledge were the difference for us-it was based on his work that we elected to go with Jorro.

Approvals for the system came quickly and the date suggested for the installation was exactly 4 weeks after the very first site visit-an awesome response!

The whole installation was done in a day and the large team of installers worked tirelessly and ensured that we understood what was going on throughout.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Jorro and will definitely use them again in future for anything to do with energy needs (heat pump next, likely!)

Jorro are focused and helpful within the Solar installation business. Prior to me placing the order with Jorro, I had spoken to a few other Solar installation companies. Steve McMahon the sales manager was extremely helpful and provided me with advice when choosing the battery system that suited our requirements. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jorro to anyone thinking of purchasing a solar panel system.

Had an earlier ridiculously overpriced quote from another company. I asked some questions on a Facebook SP group and Steve McMahon made contact and then come out and had an initial look. I got a quote and then asked Steve to let me do some research on my own just to get a better understanding of what's involved. Steve left me to it. I eventually asked Steve for a better quote and went ahead. Installation was all done in one day, the Electrician did the internal work and was clearly capable, knowledgeable and very helpful. Didn't get a chance to interact with the guys fitting the panels but there was literally no disruption with me working from home. All up and running and even though we are in the heart of winter, I'm getting great results already. Can't comment on after- sales support yet but with Steve's utter keenness, I'm sure we'll be good if I need help, Highly recommend you at least have a chat and get a Quote from these guys.

We used Jorro to install EV charge points in our residential car park. Allan Caddell,Project Manager, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He informed us what grants were available and explained the costs. He was supportive when we decided to go “off plan” to make the EV posts bespoke to our apartment block. Ricky installed the EV chargers within 3 days in the cold and driving rain and did a great job. Allan is responsive to emails and minor snagging was completed immediately. Jorro was invaluable when dealing with our inexperienced factor, Allan guided our factoring director through the steps required to apply for the grants.
Allan and Ricky were a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommended Jorro.

Steve McMahan is full of enthusiasm for renewable energy projects and provided us with a very competitive quote for a Solar Energy system. He explained in detail all options available and tailored the quote to suit our exact requirements. He arranged for the installation which was completed to a very professional standard and was always available to guide us through the commissioning process. Indeed we found all the staff at Jorro to be friendly and helpful throughout our project.

Steve McMahon at Jorro, took the time to listen to our needs and provide a detailed quote at a competitive/ realistic price for solar panels and battery system with the appropriate paperwork.
Patiently answered all questions and explained technical questions.
He provided this following a really bad experience with a different company who gave a pressurised sales pitch and over inflated quote.

We'd already received quotes from 3 other companies for a solar and battery system. While we had a clear idea of our needs (islanding capability and a system that could maximize energy production), we felt that the other companies were more focused on their own preferences than ours.

Steve Macmahon guided me through my quote and installation for a 2nd GE battery after my original installers quote was pretty excessive.
Steve was able to offer me expert guidance and reassurance throughout this process.
The installation was expertly completed within a week of enquiry and only took a few hours with no mess, fitters were very professional.
Initial teething problems with GE software was resolved quickly with Steve's help and I am now happily reaping the benefits of a larger batter capacity.

Ever since contacting Steven McMahon at Jorro, to discuss a solar installation I have been very impressed. He was very knowledgeable and listened to our requirements, making good suggestions and recommendations, and making amends to the plans when we thought of other stuff!
Having already had a solar install at the last house, we knew enough to spot any sales bull…and we got none of that! Steve was very honest and reliable.
Once we decided which contractor we wanted (Jorro) everything went right to plan. DNO was sorted surprisingly quickly, the fitters arrived on time and did a very neat installation.
We are very happy with the system…now all we need is Octopus to sort out a smart meter so we can earn from the exports!

We were looking for solar panels and batteries for our home for a couple of years. Met Steve from Jorro at the Ideal Home event in Glasgow. We got a quote from them and some other companies. Decided to go with Jorro as the price was competitive and the system proposed was suitable to cover our present and future needs, i.e. it is easily expanded. No pressure to fit a heat source pump as it was agreed our property is not suitable at present. Because of delivery problems of parts the work started a day later than agreed but they turned up with a large, very pleasant, helpful and hard working team and the work was done in one day. Because a lot of cabling length was required in the property we had early problems with accurate readings which were solved by fitting an extra component. Also, it took a long time to get SPEN to do the paperwork and give us an MPAN number so we could get started with export. Steve has been extremely diligent and helpful in getting the system to perform. He also helps us sorting the right tariffs and keeps on monitoring the performance of the system. Getting the right paperwork with the system, i.e. various guarantees, warranties etc. was without a problem and quick. All in all we are very pleased with Jorro and recommend them to anyone looking for the installation of renewable energy sources.

Absolutely fantastic service. Initially had my charger installed by Jorro and due to excellent service received, I decided to go with Jorro for my solar and battery installation. First class service from all at every stage. Steven McMahon was there to guide me through every step and has been amazing at keeping me informed and advising me of how things will progress. Have just had solar and batteries fitted by the team and firstly couldn’t fault Stevie from start to finish. He made this process straightforward and explained every step to me ensuring that I was happy without ever putting pressure on.
It was a long process but that was to do with SG funding and Stevie kept in touch making sure I had all the right docs when they asked for them.
On the day of install, the Jorro boys were brilliant, very friendly and polite and took pride in doing a job right. Nothing was too much for them and they even had to move things around in garage to make sure of a neat and tidy install.
Overall absolutely delighted and Steve is frequently in touch making sure I am getting the best out of my system and offering advice.

Jorro are a thoroughly professional outfit who helped plan and install multiple charging points at our flatted development. Alan and his team were unfailingly available and helpful. Groundwork was done to a high standard and planned to minimise disruption.

Our property factors were not experienced in installations of this complexity but Jorro were able to maintain momentum when timings were crucial around grant applications.

From start to finish everyone at Jorro was more than helpful.
No question was too stupid and no problems were insurmountable.
From my initial enquiry, site survey and then installation, everybody was so friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Jorro previously installed an EV charger for me a few years ago, so it was an easy choice to have them return when I decided to add additional solar and storage battery. Office staff helped me when considering best option to link new to existing solar system and kept me notified on each stage of process, including DNO application and HES requirements. The teams who installed the panels and battery arrived as arranged, were clean and efficient, giving clear instructions after installation. Once again, an excellent experience and very professional job from start to finish from Jorro.

Amazingly good company, I love it.

These guys really know their stuff... after having been quoted rip off by another firm with a price of £12K for a 3.6 kWp system (and a relatively small battery) who'd said "this is the max we can fit on your roof", I went to Jorro and they were able to do 14 x 400W panels (5.6 kWp) for £7K.

I ended up later expanding the solar by another panel taking me to 15 x 400W (6 kWp) panels and a battery for only another £4.4K.

This makes the total for a 6 kWp solar array and a 9.5 kWh battery from Jorro to be priced at £11.4K, a saving of £600 from the other firm and way more power storage/output!!!

And, to top it all off... they even removed the unused flue that was blocking installation of the final panel, and filled the hole with a new tile... FREE of charge!!!

They also have a great engineer team who are friendly.

Honestly, I am astounded and I will be back...

Stay away from the company, paid them to commission my solar panels, but they never did. When I phoned to query the what the hold was they denied any contract with them. One person in particular Lesley, rude & kept putting the phone down.
Thank god I paid with my credit card, which under section 75 protected me from loss of money. Currently I am trying to claim back £180 through the bank.
