En revanche ils vous prennent 1 caution de 300€ qu’ils ne vous remboursent jamais. C’est soi-disant sous 10j moi après 13j j’attends tjr. Aucun appel ni mail d’excuses. Des gens à éviter absolument

I rented a 125 moped from Jota Cafe a few weeks ago for five days. I arrived at Ibiza Airport expecting to hire a car as I have done previously and was a bit shocked to find that the prices had gone through the roof as I was quoted over 550 Euros for five days for a fiat 500! I had decided that I would probably need to get the bus and walk and then I saw the mopeds. I have not ridden and 125cc moped for over 25 years and thought it might be fun. The setup process took about an hour as I needed to provide photos of my passport and driving licence. And then I need to pay for a deposit. Once this has been done I had to find the moped which we've done from a pin in Google. Once I had paid for the motorbike hire (this is a separate payment to the deposit). I was provided with a PIN code that could be used to open a special padlock to get the key for the bike. There were two crash helmets with the bike but I only needed one as I was on my own. After taking some photos showing all over the bike and the current mileage and fuel level I was ready to go.
The crash helmet was brand new. The moped itself had only done about 1700 miles and was in excellent condition with a few minor scratches. The bike worked perfectly and was ideal for the island I would definitely hire one again. Filling up with fuel in Ibiza is interesting and seems to be different at every petrol station. The only issue I had with the bike was that it needed to be returned with a full tank and as the tank is so small by the time I had got to the airport it had lost one bar. I think this needs to be taken into account as I have not had this problem with hire cars. I explained that when I initially left the airport on the bike it almost instantly lost one bar before I'd even left the car park. As I had arrived at the airport early I even drove to another petrol station filled up drove back to the airport and it lost another bar. I didn't mind as the drive was fun and Jota Cafe guys were understanding. After reading the negative reviews on here I was a bit anxious about my deposit however it has been paid back with no issues. In summary the setup process took a little bit longer than I thought. And the slight issue with returning the bike with a full tank. Were the only negatives. Everything else was great and I would have no reservations using Jota Cafe again.
I almost forgot to mention but the best bit about having the moped in the summer is that Ibiza is so much busier and with the moped you can just scoot through the traffic.

I rented a bike from Jota in Barcelona for a few days. After having to pay a huge 900 Euro deposit on an old bike I returned it with no damage. However, another person in our group did some very minor damage to his bike (scratched crash bar and exhaust can) which he owned up to thinking his deposit would cover. However Jota claimed an outrageous amount of money to fix and then as a a ransom held on to everyone's deposit money in our group despite the fact we'd all booked and signed separate rental agreements. We had to get CC companies and a solicitor involved to try to recover any money. Although we all rented and handed over deposit money as individuals, because we knew each other Jota decided it was a group contract and refused to refund ANY deposit until the inflated damage on one bike had been paid. Although they appear pleasant they are anything but. These people smile but twist and evade any decent moral or lawful behaviour. You have been warned. DO NOT rent from them!

Aucun contrôle fait sur la société que Bikesbooker emploie. En fait cette société loue des motos pourries et en mauvais état. C'est lamentable. Dans la logique et dans un but de santé publique Bikesbooker devrait contrôler ses partenaires. Personnellement je ne vais pas retravailler avec eux. Je me débrouillerai autrement pour trouver un véhicule de vacances. Faites attention si vous leur faites confiance

Quite disappointed on this experience.

1. First of all, my refund was told 7 days. I had to call today which is 15 days later to ask for my refund. This already made things very scam.

2. As I contact them today. They told me 35$ will be deducted as I didn't return at 100% fully battery charged. ( I returned at battery A at 100% and only battery B at 91%). I actually charged 100% at my apartment the night before I returned. But honestly I need to ride the bike to return location and it consumes battery too.

This is an electric motor, not like a gas version that you can stop by a gas station right before you return it.

What I truly feel is a catch 22 scam here. When I try to explain the whole situation to them, instead of taking care of the customer and get the refund taking care of, shockingly the answer was everything is on the contract and why didn’t you read the fine print? So all responsibly push to customer side. Haha. What a smart way of doing business. What a lesson learned.

Please read this review carefully before you do biz with them and of course read all the fine print to avoid my experience :)

Très mécontent, location avec JOTA CAFE scooter en mauvais état avec plus de 50000 kms et ne rende pas la caution !!!!! A ne pas conseiller....

Prenez les taxis ! Ça vous coûtera moins cher !

Deposit € 300.- and you have to remind them to pay it back, now after 4 weeks I got it back after reminding them. Does not feel correct when they do this..

Scammers will take a 200 EURO deposit when one should not be taken. I had already paid extra for CDW, and then they will refuse to return this to you at the end of the rental period. The bike that I used (Honda cb500) was extremely old. Had not been serviced for god knows how long. This is the same for all the geared bikes I saw at the shop. The key gets stuck in the ignition barrel and won't turn. Definitely not road-worthy bikes. They are a death trap waiting to happen. The bikes are a mess! A French guy who I met at the shop had just had an accident on his same model bike, due to the rear break not working. The scooters I cannot comment on. I complained about the deposit they refused to return with my credit card company. They got my deposit back for me. I've uploaded the proof from my contact with my credit card company, as Jota Cafe will no doubt come back and say I am a liar. BUYER BEWARE with this company.

Scooter Xmax 125 réservé en ligne sur la plateforme rentalmotorbike.com 1 mois plus tôt, localisé très difficilement au point de livraison alors qu'il devait être livré à notre adresse, en mauvais état et dangeureux (pneu arrière lisse!) Face à notre refus du scooter et notre demande de remboursement, plusieurs tentatives de gestes commerciaux par téléphone, et finalement remboursement de l'accompte versé (18%), seul point positf de cette expérience finalement, après une matinée de galère. Loueur à éviter donc, pas fiable! Très loin de la qualité et du sérieux des loueurs français a qui nous faisons appel régulièrement.

Rented 4 bikes from Ibiza, beware not as described. Advertised as recent models , 2 bikes that were hired were circa 20 plus years old in extremely poor condition / extremely dangerous to ride. Had to cut hire short and return, no refund given, then takes ages to get deposit back

Dos cascos incluidos, tanque lleno, entrega en aeropuerto por un precio extra de 35 euros, no hay que esperar en la cola del taxi, servicio inmejorable, siempre disponibles por cualquier inconveniente. Never rented motocycle in so bad condition! I was supposed to rent it for 9 days.

After few km, I notice that the clutch was slipping and motor has an oil leak. I return the motocycle ( they give an address in Barcelona but no shop front??) . An arogant employee told me that the slipping was normal and due to the weather! They give another motorcycle that was still in poor condition : starting issu, wearing sound from the back, no night beam, worn-out back tire, front suspension bang and wobble... After few days I drove 5 extra hours to return the bike and I cancel the rental because I was really concerned that the motocycle broke in the middle of nowhere. On top of that they didn't want to refund the days left . I had to fight and with the help of RentalMotorbike, they were forced to refund but only a small amount. I had to pay large amount for a last-minute rental in another shop.
In conclusion... A nightmare! Don't rent to Jota Café if you don't want a lot of trouble!
