Pfusch und Abzocke

Ich war mit meinem Mann in dieser Katastrophalen Klinik. Mein Mann muss nochmals operiert werden und leider wurde vieles kaputt gemacht.
Abzocke und Operation nur Pfusch

Mir wurde bei einer einfach Rückenoperation leider der Rücken kaputt gemacht. Es wurde nicht wie vereinbart operiert und ich hatte eine starke entzündung. ich musste Zuhause Notfallmässig ins Spital und wurde hospitalisiert. Antibiotika und starke Schmerzmittel. Jetzt muss ich nochmals operieren und die Wirbel verschrauben lassen, weil der polnische Arzt schlecht und katastrophal gearbeitet hat. Es geht in der Klinik nur ums Geld und die wollten mir vor der OP noch zusätzlich sachen verkaufen. Eine halbe Stunde vor der OP kam eine Betreuerin mit dem kreditkarten Gerät ins Zimmer und ich musste noch zusätzlich EURO 3000 bezahlen, reine Abzocke. Mehr bezahlen und die OP wurde nicht Ordnungsgemäss ausgeführt, reiner Pfusch. Auch die Abläufe sehr Katastrophal, ich wurde 2 mal in den OP gefahren, das erste mal zu früh, es hiess in einer Stunde wieder, was ist das für ein Zeitmanagement bei lediglich 2 Op's?? Ich kann nur sagen, die Klinik unbedingt meiden und sich nicht vom Internet Blenden lassen. Auch Mitarbeiter äussern sich sehr negativ über die Klinik und die GL. Ist traurig das es so Kliniken gibt und dies in einem EU Land. Ich habe inzwischen alles dem Anwalt übergeben, da die GL der Klinik sich nicht mal meldet und der Arzt ebenfalls nicht, ausser Drohen. Schlimm so etwas, aber es werden auch für die Klinik andere Zeiten kommen, die Patienten sind nicht alle dumm.

Very poor reporting on diagnostic tests

Having read some excellent reviews about the clinic, I decided to book an appointment to have an endoscopy and colonoscopy after suffering chronic stomach pain for 3 months and getting nowhere on the NHS.
The admin team were efficient in answering all my questions prior to my arrival, including my main query, which was how the results would be communicated to my GP. I was assured that these would be written in English.

I had been told to arrive at the clinic at 8am for a 9am procedure, which I duly did. I was greeted by Karelian, who spoke perfect English and was very helpful and kind. However, after a cannula was inserted by a nurse at about 8:30, I was then left to wait in a busy corridor until 10.30am when the doctor finally arrived.

The doctor told me that the report would be written in Polish. I was immediately shocked as this was not what I had been told. However, Karoina reassured me that she would translate the doctor’s report.

After my procedures, I was left to sleep off the anaesthetic. When I woke up, the report was delivered by Karolina. One of the findings was that I had a submucosal tumour. I was very upset by this news and asked when the doctor who had performed the endoscopy would be coming to explain the findings in more detail. I was told that I hadn’t booked a follow on consultation so this was hard to arrange. As I was becoming quite agitated by this point, I was told that the head of the clinic would see me.

Eventually, at about 4pm, I was given a meeting. In very faltering English, I was told that I had a polyps rather than a tumour, two ulcers and a possible hiatus hernia. None of these terms were on the translated report. No apology was given for the very poor translation. When I asked for more explanation, I was asked whether I would like an MRI scan to give more detail. Given that the reports I had received from the endoscopy and colonoscopy were so poor, I declined.

No doubt people have had very positive experiences at the clinic, but I would warn people that for diagnostic purposes, the trip to this clinic would be a waste of time and money. Perhaps, had I been offered a biopsy on the polyps, this would have been more conclusive.

My impression was that this is a very busy clinic, with lots of people being left to languish in corridors with little contact with the doctors.

Regarding the delay in your procedure, the doctor was unfortunately delayed due to being stuck in traffic, as you were the first patient scheduled for 9:00 this caused a delay in your treatment. We do understand that this was inconvenient, but unfortunately, this was beyond our control.

Regarding the colonoscopy, it is important to mention that the procedure was complicated by the fact that your preparation was not as thorough as expected, despite the instructions provided. Proper preparation is critical for the success of the procedure, and this resulted in the procedure taking longer than usual, causing further delay. Our doctor did their best to get as much clarity as possible, despite the challenges caused by the poor preparation.

As for the translation of your medical report, we do not provide translation services as part of the medical service package. All medical reports are written in Polish, and the translation was a courtesy gesture that I offered to assist with. You say no apology was given however prior to giving you the results, I did explain that some of the translations might not be perfect and that clarification from a doctor would be necessary. I also made sure to offer you a free follow-up consultation with our specialist to address the questions or concerns you raised about the results you received. However, it’s important to note that the procedure and consultation are two separate, payable services. Unfortunately, we cannot provide additional consultations without them being booked and paid for in advance, although again I went out of my way and arranged this for you. The doctor offered you a more in depth diagnostics such as MRI since nothing in the gastroscopy or the incomplete colonoscopy report gave conclusive answers as to your chronic abdominal pain.

Regarding the timing of the consultation, I would like to point out you were hospitalised in a quiet individual room for nearly six hours after your procedure, which we arranged as an additional service to ensure you had ample time to recover from the sedation. Typically, patients only require about 1/2 hours included in medical package, but we were happy to accommodate you for the additional time at no extra charge.

We understand your frustration, and it’s important to note that we do offer our patients the best care we can within the constraints of our services. While there were areas where we could have done better, we hope that the care you received was generally positive.

Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope that your health concerns are properly addressed moving forward.

Ich war am 05.02.2025 zur Hüft-Op in der KCM Klinik in Jelenia Gora.
Diese Klinik kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Nach dem ich meine Beschwerden geschildert habe wurde mir kurzfristig eine Behandlung angeboten. Mit der Abwicklung der Behandlung war ich von Anfang bis Ende sehr zufrieden.Hier nehmen sich die Ärtzte und Schwestern noch Zeit für die Belange des Patienten. Man ist stehts um das Wohl des Patienten bemüht und versucht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.
Der ausführende OP-Artzt Herr Dr. Maczynski hat sich zum Aufklärungsgespräch viel Zeit genommen und ist auch nach der OP regelmäßig zur Kontrolle beim Patienten.
Vielen Dank noch nochmals an das gesamte Team!

Gallbladder Removal Surgery

For a number of reasons we never ended up travelling for Gallbladder Removal Surgery to KCM Clinic, but I wanted to ensure that I left a review for the time and effort which Kim invested in answering any questions we had in regards to costs, travel, procedure, stay in Poland etc etc.
A truly wonderful experience, but I am sorry that we couldn't travel as expected. Chris & Sharon

I flew from Ireland to have my foot surgery on this clinic / I have to say that only reason I am here to post my review is because the amazing job that Karina the coordinator made to make my surgery happen after few issues , I never saw a woman that works so hard and after care with the patience is extraordinary. I had surgery in another contrived before but never saw someone so good with patients before . I also would like to thank Olivia the nurse , she is Amanzing , she connects with patients and make sure we have the best care after the surgery, I really hope one day she will be the responsible nurse from all the floor , because we need more nurses that cares about the patience and also connects with him , she is the only one on that floor that makes this happen , she brought me cake when I was starving waiting for lunch time , this made my day , is not because the cake is because the care .

I will definitely come back to am have another surgery because of them

First rate medical experience

My experience with KCM Clinic was first rate, medically it was brilliant, everything was on time, no cancellations and the staff were very attentive, would highly recommend using KCM for any medical issues you can't get done in the UK.

I would not use again.

Pros: Nice facility. The doctor seemed professional and competent. The results were clear.

Cons... Oh boy.
1. I didn't receive pre-procedure instructions until less than 48 hours before I was supposed to check in. This occurred despite me emailing them four times that week asking for instructions.
2. I arrived at 11AM and was shown into a hospital room. I was then ignored for several hours. I emailed the English speaking contact I had at the front desk who rushed upstairs and told me she would find out was happening. A Polish nurse came in and gave me (more) paperwork to do. I was then ignored for several more hours.
3. I received an explanation after five hours of waiting that there was a problem with the anesthesiologist and there were still several patients in front of me. At this point I had not eaten in 26 hours.
4. Finally, at almost 4:30PM I was taken to the exam room. I spoke with the anesthesiologist who confirmed what we were doing, that I would have general anesthesia, and we would start in 15 minutes. I never saw the anesthesiologist again.
5. After 15 minutes the doctor performing the procedure told me that we don't have an anesthesiologist available, and he didn't know when they would be. He gave me two choices: We do the procedure now with the minimal sedatives he could administer himself (which meant I would feel discomfort during the procedure) or we reschedule for tomorrow. I chose to do the procedure right then because I couldn't imagine not eating for another 14 hours and didn't want to cancel my travel tickets and pay for another night in a hotel.
The doctor was the only person the entire day whom I thought was being honest and direct with me.
6. After the procedure I was left alone in my original room for a little while until a nurse came in and delivered the (good) results. I waited a bit longer and no one else came to check on me. I ate a bag of nuts I had in my backpack, put on my clothes, and left to rush to the train station so I could make my way home.

I don't know what happened but every step of the way with KCM there were problems. I should have received instructions much sooner, I should not have been ignored for hours, I should have been communicated with. Also- if they had been honest with me about the problem, I would have chosen to do the procedure without the anesthesiologist at 1PM instead of waiting until late in the afternoon with a pounding headache from hunger.

Frankly... I also paid for an anesthesiologist and general anesthesia, and they did not deliver on that. I am a business owner myself and if cannot deliver a service that my customer has paid for, I will find a way to make that right. I will not just ignore them and hope they leave without making a fuss.

I’m adding this note after reading their response. They have said something regarding my lack of anesthesia as "you paid for what you got" and "this was explained to you multiple times."

That is a lie and I will not let it stand.

The anesthesiologist literally told me I would be receiving general anesthesia and then disappeared and I never saw her again. The doctor apologized to me and said anesthesia would not be available that day and he didn't even know why.

I did not receive what I paid for. No explanation was ever offered and I will not stand for that to be lied about in their response.

Great 2nd visit

My 2nd visit to the clinic everything was great again , Daniel picked us up and took us to our apartment and helped us get in, pre op test were done efficiently surgery went well and I was very well looked after , follow up appointments all fine everything ran smoothly , the only slight downside my TV didn't work in my room I had a long wait for my surgery as I went down later in the day so it felt like ages with nothing to kill the time and the language Barrier with the nurses on the night shifts was difficult but they are all lovely and looked after me. I wouldnt hesitate to return

KCM - Best decision I ever made!

From the moment I inquired, I felt well taken care of by Kim. She was incredibly supportive, addressing all my questions and reassuring me during my moments of doubt about proceeding with the procedure.

At the hospital, Dr. Kierzynka conducted a thorough consultation, which boosted my confidence in my decision. Karina, the coordinator, was excellent in keeping me informed about everything happening throughout the process and was just an absolute legend.

Nurse Anne was fantastic, providing tremendous support with my aftercare and dressing changes.

Overall, my experience at KCM was wonderful. My expectations were exceeded, and my new breasts look fabulous, even before they are fully healed.

I would wholeheartedly recommend KCM to anyone. The level and quality of care I received far surpassed what I would have experienced in the UK, and I would definitely return if I ever need any other cosmetic treatments in the future.

Best decision picking KCM

My research for where to have bariatric surgery led me to KCM clinic in Poland and I am forever grateful. Everyone was professional and made me feel great. Karolina was so excellent coordinating everything from start, Dr. Grzegorz Kowalski put my mind at ease and did an awesome job.
My procedure was surprisingly extra smooth, I expected a lot of discomfort and pain but on the contrary I felt relieved after sleeping a few hours, no nausea, no pain. It's been over a week, I am back home and just resting. No complications whatsoever. Best decision I made.

KCM are amazing!

KCM are amazing!! Can't recommend them highly enough.
From kim who was on hand to answer questions pre - and post-op no matter how silly you feel a question may be. To Karolina, who ensured all the pre-op tests and the operation day went smoothly! The nurses and doctors were amazing. So reassuring. So efficient. All spoke great English, communication is not something you need to worry about when going to KCM.
The drivers were fantastic, the cars were comfortable and clean.
The clinic ran like a well oiled machine. The pre op tests were very thorough, which i liked!
The rooms were spacious, tidy and clean.
Professor major who completed my gastric sleeve was fantastic and answered all questions I had.
The aftercare is also fantastic. I am currently 15 days post surgery and kim is still helping me.
I will be back!!

All round Brilliant experience. 10/10

What made my experience great?
From start to finish this was a seamless experience, the initial handling and arranging a surgery date, to the KMC driver being there at the airport to picking you up, the clinic was efficient and prompt, everything is run like clockwork. I would and have recommend KCM Clinic to everyone and anyone who wants to listen. My friend recommended them and filled me with confidence prior to.my decision to undergo surgery. Everything was a plus. I'm almost 5 weeks post-op and had absolutely no complications, I'm healing well. We have a support group for questions afterwards and these guys have been a blessing to understand and stay on track.

Spinal surgery

Id Like to give my thanks and gratitude to
Ladies at kcm that helped me through widyane & karoline both goddess's.
I speak no polish and without them I'd been stuffed . They do amazing job considering how busy they are .
So in terms of price comparison to UK 70% cheaper . And you have to factor that in. So in comparison to say Harley street it's not Harley Street but for the price it's above it. Doctor doesn't speak lot English but he an expert so doesn't matter how good hes English is really. You just know that he can just see exactly what needs to be done and not lot need said. My operation was to have diam stabilisation l5/S1 and discetomy l4/l5 using radio frequency to destroy annular tear. 2 weeks after operation my posture has completely changed due to implant . Still some tingling leg & foot . But hopefully damage id done over the years to nerves reverts overtime . When you travel they collect from airport and drop you back all taken care of and get to stay across the road in bed breakfast called Zeppelin . Nice decor comfy beds . Widyane will keep in contact with you and tell you to come to hospital when you are needed.
Recommended to friend and family .

Couldn’t recommend KCM enough!

My experience with KCM Clinic has been all round fantastic! I can’t thank everyone enough for the treatment I received from all. Kim Adams who helped from the beginning has been absolutely amazing, she was informative and has been very support after my breast reduction, ensuring I feel comfortable and helping me out with any queries I’ve had. My surgeon Dr Kierzynka was brilliant, I felt so comfortable with him through the entire process, he explained everything well and I felt I was in very safe hands. Truly can’t thank everyone enough even the nurses and Karina who was just so kind and helpful and this has changed my life

Excellent, I should have done it earlier

Everything from the pre-op, to the surgery & post op care, I would give a 100 out of 10. Everything went smoothly, I’m glad I did it. 3 days post op and I’m feeling better and looking forward to the future. Take this as your sign to book and you won’t regret it. Excellent clinic, thank you Widyane and a Big thank you to the Doctors and Nurses. I really recommend, your safety comes first to them.

AVOID THIS CLINIC!!!! Poor nursing aftercare

UPDATE 2nd December 2024

I have been complaining of painful swelling since my surgery. I have sent regular photos to aftercare, to be told each time how lovely my scar is. My scar is ‘lovely’, but that isn’t the issue - I have what looks like an upturned bowl on my abdomen and it is PAINFUL!

After finally receiving a follow-up telephone appointment with Dr.Kierzynka (making sure he had photos of my swelling) I was curtly advised that he couldn’t diagnose anything with photos - he needed ultrasound images! I ended up paying £160 to a private clinic to perform an ultrasound and give me my results to send to Dr.Kierzynja. ( I was advised that I could go to Poland for the ultrasound by Kim) However, the cost of flying to Wroclaw and paying £200 for a taxi didn’t make financial sense! I sent the images the same day (last Tuesday) and I am STILL WAITING for someone to contact me. I was advised by the sonographer that I have a hernia caused by the surgery and this should be fixed by the surgeon that performed my original operation.

I have been told to avoid all strenuous exercise and I’m now on strong painkillers.
Please bear in mind that you may need to have an ultrasound if you have any issues.

The urgency definitely disappears once they have your money.

Firstly we arrived during the floods, I will say that this was dealt with professionally, I was notified and we managed to get a hotel in Wrocław that was deducted from our invoice. Our driver ‘Daniel’ was lovely!

However, I’m writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the level of care I’ve experienced at the hospital. It’s truly concerning how little attention has been given by some members of the nursing staff. If my husband hadn’t brought me water, I would have gone without, which is unacceptable. Yesterday evening, I simply requested a cup of tea from a nurse, and the reaction was as though I’d made an unreasonable demand.
It’s important to acknowledge the few nurses and my surgeon who have shown kindness and professionalism—Karina, Viktorija Boika, and a petite lady with short blonde hair who assisted me on my first day and Widyane our co-ordinator (the one you can rely on to respond to your WhatsApp) They have been the only positives in this experience.
As a private patient, I expect a certain standard of care, and unfortunately, that standard has not been met. This morning, they attempted to place another patient in my room, Had Karina not acted, I would have lost the privacy I’ve paid for. Had I been here alone, I would have struggled.
I am extremely anxious about my postoperative aftercare. I hope the hospital will address these issues to ensure other patients do not face the same disappointments.it seems to me that once they have your money their level of ‘interest’ drops.

I can’t believe I’m writing this but the hospital sent me back to the hotel with medication I am allergic to. I had an allergic reaction to it which wasn’t very nice. When you attend this hospital they ask you to fill in paperwork (much of the information is repeated but I didn’t mind because it was for my safety - several times I stated I was allergic to penicillin on this paperwork and yet they still prescribed it. The only positive I can say is that so far the surgery looks good. It’s a shame the aftercare has let down the surgeons hard work. Kim at KCM will delete you from the KCM clinic page when you say you are going to make sure no patient suffers what you have. This is probably why you don’t see any negative reviews. I will keep updating my results so you can make an informed choice.

However, we understand that this does not excuse the lapses you experienced, such as the lack of attention to your hydration needs and the issues surrounding your postoperative care. Your points regarding privacy and medication allergies are particularly alarming, and we will be investigating these matters thoroughly to ensure they do not occur in the future. Patient safety is our top priority, and we will learn from your experience to improve our protocols and staff training.
We are committed to providing a high standard of care, and it is clear that we fell short in your case. However, some points need to be validated, you were provided with multiple teas during your stay at the hospital. Another point about your privacy - The nurses simply asked if you could have another international patient in your double room due to really high demand on the day. You declined and this was respected no one was forcibly adding a patient into your room. Although, your feedback is crucial in helping us recognize areas for improvement and enhance the experience for all our patients. Please know that we are actively reviewing your comments and will take steps to address the issues raised.

Nice place, expected results obtained, but there're a few twists :)

Pluses: Very nice and friendly staff, pretty short notice for getting an appointment, quick result delivery, especially in comparison with Germany.
Possible improvements: most of the staff speak primarily polish, so you need to have at least some basic level of it; even knowing some basics of the language, I sometimes did not understand what's going on; also I had to spend way more time at the hospital than originally planned, to cover all the treatments. Which is fine, I got the expected results in the end. But you should plan the time accordingly. The final bill also turned out to be way higher than originally calculated. Would be good to communicate all the issues around the price upfront
