Breast Implant Removal & Uplift

KCM was great. I came from England for Breast Implant Removal and Uplift.
When I arrived, the gentleman Krystof who looked after me spoke English (my 1st language) well, and was very swift. I had my pre-op tests (x-ray, ultrasound, 2 x ECG and blood tests), as well as paperwork, all complete within 2 hours of arriving at the hospital.
The surgery was the next day, I arrived early and waited a couple of hours, and then the anaesthetist came in to go through some things with me, he was German and mainly spoke German and Polish so couldn't really actually go over anything very well but he understood some English and could read it and I trusted I was in safe hands and wasn't nervous anyway.
Some of the communication between me and the nurses was non-verbal as some of them that day didn't speak very much English, I did not mind this at all as it is to be expected when you go to another country for surgery, and all of the 'main' people (e.g. the surgeon) spoke English well.
The surgeon spoke to me about my surgery and then it was time to go to the surgery!
I did feel nervous in the lift going down and nervous when I was in the theatre too just before he put me under. As he was about to put me under I said "wait, not yet!" and he put me under as I was saying it, so that was that.
The aftercare was good while I was there, the nurses were sweet and kind even when they couldn't directly communicate in my language, and I couldn't in theirs. I went for my bandages to be changed every morning from my air bnb, and I was always in and back out within 20 minutes. I have seen a couple of reviews about having to wait ages for things? And in my opinion I think maybe these people weren't in the correct area or not communicating their needs. I was seen to swiftly every time I was there, especially for bandages being changed which only took a few minutes. The nurses were always very gentle and if I had any questions, they would find someone who could communicate well with me to make sure I was properly understood. Most of the time I didn't have questions.
I haven't been contacted since I've been back in England, and I did have a query about a stitch that has been left unanswered, but sorted itself out.
Overall, for me, it was a great experience, I was well look after, Krystof I found to be kind and funny, I had all my needs met, the nurses were kind and gentle for the most part, and I am very very happy with the surgery, the care, and the results.

Amazing my room in the hospital was spotless and had Netflix in English so I wasn’t bored the surgeon and all the staff made me feel welcome and was brutally honest with me about my surgery and what to expect etc it was my first holiday and even thoe I had an operation I would go back any time. I’m even planning on going back by the end of the year Poland is an amazing place and I’m so glad I picked kcm for my operation which was performed and fixed only time will tell now if it’s successful all my wounds etc have healed n it’s been a month and I feel great I really can’t wait to message my surgeon Arthur with good new hopefully soon the whole of the staff went above and beyond from the day I enquired even till now after I’ve had op n home I really can’t wait to come back in the future

Avoid

Really happy with my results after my tummy tuck however the ‘aftercare’ once I was home was non existent. They only contacted me when I was home to collect money after they performed a hernia removal which I had to pay an extra £1200 for. I was not given a choice whether to have it removed by them at the time of my planned surgery even though the surgeon was aware it is there in my consultation with her but didn’t mention it. I only knew she knew it was there as the coordinator told me. So I had no choice in the matter so had arranged to pay the £1200 in instalments when home. If I didn’t owe any money then they would never have been in touch to see if I was recovering ok. My opinion is to avoid KCM and look for somewhere else that care about you and not just about the money!!

We are glad that you are happy with the result and have a beautiful tummy after the procedure - that is not only the surgeons good work but also the entire multidisciplinary Teams.

Regarding the hernia removal, we need and want to emphasize that it was performed with your best interests and health in mind - and according to all international standards. During your face to face consulation, your surgeon made you aware of potential risks - like discovering a hernia (your case), and it was necessary to remove it at the time of your planned surgery to prevent any further complications and in order to not develop further aesthetic complications in the future.
It was your explicit request to pay in instalments, we prepared that option for you in your presence, despite the fact that normally that the balance - like in every other private Hospital - has to be payed before hospital discharge.
You also had 6 full days daily check ups after your procedure and will according to the protocol be contacted one month after arriving home for additional follow up assistance - like every other patient.

We value opinions from all of our patients and strive to provide exceptional care, and we regret that you have a feeling that we fell short in this instance. Our team is committed to the work and service we provide and our aftercare practices set the benchmark in Europe. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to continuously improve our services.

ich habe mich am 20. Januar 2023 in die Kcm Klinik Jelena Gora
zu einer Magenverkleinerung eingefunden. Ich wurde von einem äußerst freundlichen Mitarbeiter vom Flugplatz abgeholt. In der Klinik angekommen wurde ich von Sehr netten Damen in Empfang genommen und zu den verschiedenen Untersuchungen geleitet.
Die Gespräche mit dem Chirurgen und dem Anästhesisten Waren für mich sehr aufschlussreich und beruhigend.
Am Samstagmorgen stand die Operation an und ich muss sagen ich wurde noch nie so angenehm und freundlich auf eine Operation vorbereitet. Die Operation und Narkose liefen ohne Komplikationen ab. Was mir besonders im Gedächtnis geblieben ist, ist das ich aus der Narkose geholt worden bin mit der Ansprache „ Hallo Peter, aufwachen wir sind fertig“ und einem Lächeln der Op-Schwestern und der Ärzte.
Die Nachsorgen in der Klinik war aus meiner Sicht sehr umsichtig und auf das wohl des Patienten ausgerichtet.
Die Einschreidung mich bei ihnen im Hause operieren zu lassen habe ich keine Sekunde bereut.

Gastric sleeve…

My client manager made the booking experience really quick and easy. She helped me find suitable flights and answered any question i had.

I booked transfers and the hotel within my package. My driver was kind and accommodating and the hotel was beautiful.

Upon arrival at the hospital no one was there to greet us so we stood for a while unsure of what was happening but once we were met we were told what the day of pretests would entail. The hospital was clean, rooms basic but of a suitable standard.

All staff were pleasant and helpful and couldn’t do enough to keep you comfortable.

The day of discharge was a bit chaotic, communication wasn’t great and having returned home there has been no follow up/check in which is a little disappointing. I’ve emailed the after care team twice and had no reply.

Booking was quick and easy.
The pre op tests were thorough. The op and post op care day 1 were great but from there i feel KCM could do better and check on patients post op.

I would and have recommended friends to KCM. My op has been a success and thanks to KCM i am changing my life.

I'm a new man ::)

I am very happy with the results from my duel otoplasty and blepharoplasty surgery. The surgeon was attentive to my wishes and worked his magic expertly. The team around him were very supportive and I had a near faultless experience.

Communication pre and post surgery via email was excellent, though there was some confusion at times when in-person (what time to turn up, who best to speak to, etc), this was mostly down to my lack of Polish.

On the day of the surgery, be prepared for a long wait at the hospital. I was told to come in at 7am, but it wasn't until around 3pm that the consultations, preparation began. Maybe double-check if you're really needed in that early. You also cannot eat when you're in there, so eat well the night before, or have a decent breakfast beforehand (unless of course the medical advice is to do the procedure on an empty stomach).

I am not much a fan of TV, but the private room I was provided did have one and there was a Netflix account available, so you could watch whilst you waited.

In Jelenia Gora, there are plenty of pharmacists nearby where you can pick up the prescribed aftercare and cleaning products. And there are a ton of lovely cafes and coffee shops to pop into and ease yourself through the recovery.

I did not take advantage of the airport pickup or the hotel offer, because I chose to travel by coach myself from Prague and stay in an Airbnb nearby. It was a perfect stay and I would recommend having a look online to see potential availability if you didn't want to rush back to your normal life post-surgery and wanted to recover and relax a little more.

Definitely a positive experience for me. I'd recommend to anyone else thinking of visiting.

This was my second visit to KCM clinic

This was my second visit to KCM clinic, I had a hernia repair and tummy tuck. The nurses were exceptional, Krzysztof was excellent in arranging everything and Daniel the driver was also exceptional. No fear on surgery bit too early yet to leave a complete review with you as it’s only a week and things are still very swollen and bruised and stitched up but happy with results so far. The only criticism I have is there should be a care leaflet given for after surgery as it was learning and questions all the way.

I was sleeved on the 29th October…

I was sleeved on the 29th October having only booked a couple of month prior! I spent a lot of time following other people’s journeys and just couldn’t wait to begin mine! The booking process from start to finish was fab! Kim answered all my questions and directed me to threads on the page I needed to help me with my progress! I’m now 7 weeks post op and have lost 3 stone so far! My only regret is I didn’t do I sooner! The nurses were very thorough and the surgeon was lovely! Anyone thinking of doing it … do it!

Gastric sleeve surgery success

Everything ran smoothly, I cannot really complain about any part of my experience. Picked up and dropped off as scheduled. My only bug bare was the nurses didn’t speak English as promised. I travelled alone which I think with nurses etc wouldn’t have been so bad but when they walk in and out of my room without speaking just putting drugs up and walking out again it was a bit disheartening. I also left my bracelet which apparently could not be found when I left. All round though I recommend the clinic for weight loss surgery

Given false hope, booked in when I shouldn't have been, out of pocket.

The coordinator, Kim, who I was speaking to via WhatsApp prior to booking in asked me to fill in a form online with my medical history etc. She came back to me after a few hours and said the Dr had approved my tubal ligation surgery, so we booked in and I paid in full.
When I arrived at the clinic, I had some diagnostic tests done but was all very rushed, and then went to the hotel for the night.
The next day came a couple more diagnostic tests, then I saw the Dr before going down to surgery. He took my medical history and told me there was less than 1% chance of my operation being successful and that he would still do it if I wanted to but he didn't recommend it due to the low success rate. I asked, through the tears, why on earth I was ever booked in in the first place and he said that the only communication he had had from Kim regarding me was a WhatsApp message saying she had booked me in. He showed me his WhatsApp and emails with Kim and there was no mention of me except her saying she'd booked it in, she had not sent him the form she got me to fill in. He said if she had sent it, he would never have approved me for booking in. I'd been given false hope by Kim saying it had been approved.

The clinic said they would refund me for the surgery, but since I had had the diagnostic tests, the stay in the hotel, and the transport from and to the airport, they would deduct those charges from what I'd paid. It took me chasing the refund twice before I received it, and it took me a further 3 weeks of chasing to get a breakdown of exactly what they had charged me for.

So I'm out of pocket to the tune of approximately £700 for the transport, hotel and diagnostic tests, and another £200 for flights, for an operation that didn't happen and should never have been booked in in the first place if Kim had actually done her job properly.

Absolutely disgusted. If I could give zero stars, I would.

UPDATE: Following KCM'S reply - they stated that "sent this form to you which you completed and then it automatically goes directly to the doctor in charge for the specific medical speciality". The Dr himself told me that, based on my medical history alone, due to the previous surgeries I had had, he would NEVER have approved my case, so I should NOT have been booked in.
Yes, it was following the consultation with the Dr that the surgery would not go ahead - because the Dr said he would not have approved it for being booked in if Kim had given him the form that I filled in because of the low chance of success due to my previous surgeries.
You can say what you like about changes in plans meaning costs occur etc. But I should NOT have been booked in, as the Dr said himself, and therefore would not have travelled there and then there would have been no costs!! I am out of pocket to the tune of roughly £900 because Kim did not pass the form the to Dr (he said she needs to send it to him, it is not automatic). If Kim had passed the form to the Dr, he would have said no, and I would not have paid a penny.
And, as I previously said, the Dr showed me his full communication with Kim on both email and WhatsApp. There was no mention of me whatsoever, aside from "I have booked a TLR (tubal ligation reversal) on 25th August". That was it. I could see documents that linked to other patients forms that Kim had forwarded, but mine was not there. Had she done her job, I would not have paid a penny. She even told me ""Great news from Dr Kucharski head Gynecologist here at KCM Clinic - He has qualified you for Tubal Reversal Surgery." - that's her exact words, I still have the WhatsApp chat with her. So how can he have qualified me for surgery without any knowledge of me until the day after my conversation with Kim where she simply told him that she had booked me in??

Dear Rachel, Thank you for taking the time to leave our hospital a review. We like to read your feedback as it allows us to improve our services to our patients.
Our patients are always asked to complete a medical form based on the procedure they are hoping to have. Our experienced patients manager in your case Kim, sent this form to you which you completed and then it automatically goes directly to the doctor in charge for the specific medical speciality. In due course your patients manager Kim, informed you, based on the information you provided to our hospital you were pre qualified for the procedure. The next step after this is to make the deposit and of course book your flight. You completed these steps and Kim, along with our hospital co-ordinators prepared for your arrival.

Upon arrival all patients under go extensive pre op diagnostic tests, consultations with the doctors and examinations. After the tests were completed, the doctor informed you, after the findings about the chances of success from this procedure. After a lengthy consultation you with our doctors together decided not to proceed.

When choosing to travel out from your home country patients must accept there may be changes in their initial plans. This is why we have a process such as the medical forms for initial pre qualification, and final decision can only be done here in the Hospital after all the pre op tests, examinations and a personal consultation with the Surgery Specialist. Our hospital can not be held accountable for the findings in these tests.

Patients also must accept when travelling to a different country for specialised surgery you will incur costs such as logistics, flights and hotel. Our surgery prices reflect our doctors and multidisciplinary Teams experience. We always try to keep costs as low as possible as we understand international patients do have travel expenses however the consultation, diagnostic and surgery costs are explained to each patient in great details and are clear before we ask you to make any deposit. If you had choose a private hospital in your home country you will of course had to pay for any tests ans consultations carried out.

KCM are proud to have a highly skilled team of doctors. Every doctor will see every completed medical form via email or in person before our patient managers proceed to the deposit. Doctors will never speak nor give success rates based on information provided in a medical form before seeing the patient.

As professionals we informed you about the chances of success before exploring the success during the operation. We would never went ahead with the surgery knowing we were not putting you first, however patients safety and happiness is paramount for our hospital - first and foremost.

We are deeply sorry that your surgery did not go ahead as you hoped but it was the best decision for you.

KCM Unique Edge? Expertise & skill!

What sets KCM apart? English speaking support staff. Very thorough clinical protocols. Medical experts that are leaders in there fields. Professor level mastery of the domain, is the norm - at the surgeon level.
The nursing team are also empathetic (for the most part) and carry out their duties with precision & care.
I would not hesitate - for 1 moment - to recommend them & may return (at some stage) for further treatment.
