I started a free trial of Kindle Unlimited, and my expectation, especially given the name, was that if a Kindle version exists then it is available on Kindle Unlimited.

After all, if I just wanted a selection of books then that is available free under Prime Reading, so Kindle Unlimited must offer more, surely?

The first books I tried, were unavailable unless I bought them, but to be fair they were non-fiction, so I thought, maybe it just applies to fiction.

But then I found that book after book that I wanted to read was unavailable, in all I reckon that 90% of the non-fiction books I tried are not available in Kindle Unlimited.

My conclusion is that Kindle Unlimited is like Prime Video which can claim to have thousands of films but it is pointless going in with the idea to watch a specific film you won’t find it, instead you have to browse through the films they have until you find one that you want to watch. Kindle Unlimited is the same but for books.

I’m sure that approach does work for many, but for not for me. I won’t be paying nearly £10 per month to read books that someone else has selected and which I don’t really want to read.

Nous avons pris une liseuse il y a 8 mois à notre ado de 14 ans et l'abonnement. Beaucoup de livres qui l'intéressent sont hors abonnement et quand on a la chance d'en trouver oeuver dans l'abonnement il nous ai dit que le livre ne peut être lu sur sa tablette et qu'elle doit le lire sur un téléphone... La tablette n'a que 8 mois, c'est une blague ! C'est donc très décevant, le catalogue est riche, la tablette est chouette mais l'abonnement ne couvre pas assez de titres ! Vraiment dommage

Ho comprato un Kindle più di 10 anni fa e su di esso negli anni avevo creato una libreria piuttosto ricca..da un giorno con l’altro il device non mi ha più permesso di scaricare libri. Ho telefonato all’assistenza e mi e’ stato comunicato che tale problema si e’ creato perche’ il mio è-book e’ troppo vecchio, e mi e’ stato suggerito di provare a ripristinare le condizioni di fabbrica. Risultato: ho perso tutta la mia libreria e non riesco comunque a scaricare libri. L’obsolescenza programmata non si ferma di fronte a nulla!!!penso che tornerò’ ad acquistare libri cartacei e non acquisterò’ mai più un e-book, quanto meno sicuramente non un Kindle!!!come il nome suggerisce e’ proprio una fiammella che il soffio del mercato puo’ spegnere in qualsiasi momento. App povera di proposte migliorative. La voce che legge dopo un po' risulta insopportabile. Non vengono rispettate le basilari regole della grammatica italiana. Punti, spazi, rispetto del testo. Viene letto tutto di un fiato. Non si può cambiare la voce di chi legge. Povera povera

My Kindle keeps skipping pages and changing the font size. After trying the support services on amazon.de, amazon.fr, and finally amazon.us, I had to reset my Kindle to factory settings. All the books were gone, and the problem persists. According to amazon.fr, my warranty expires in July 2025; according to amazon.us, it expired in November 2024.

Repair is not possible. I'm supposed to buy a new one with a 15% discount, but Amazon, no matter which country, doesn't ship to my country.

I spent at least three hours chatting with incompetent people.

Do not sign up to the 3 months 99p they try to charge over 28 pounds so the full amount complete con and when i phone no help

Chi ha progettato l'interfaccia non poteva fare peggio . Quando giri pagina non sai mai quante ne gira e ti perdi sempre il segno. La libreria è uno schifo e poi ha altri mille difetti che non sto qui a spiegare. Il vecchio kindle andava benissimo . mi hanno fregato .non lo comprate !!!

It has excellent hardware, and it's intuitive and easy to use. The battery also has a good lifetime if you keep it in airplane mode.
The last company policies ended up deleting all my non-Amazon books from the device and removing the possibility of moving them back to it by USB.
It's awful that a thing you bought because it does A, B, and C from one day to another now does just A and B.

I had a huge expectation however it’s really working slow. Since it has one purpose, I think it should work faster. Also my screen got cracked inside, but I can’t even modify the screen to avoid this harmed area. I can’t use it and it was pretty expensive. Good for reading articles etc. Not sure about novels or other books though.

Se non sei una grande casa editrice ti fanno mille problemi. Arrivano a cancellarti i libri in contrasto con le linee guida che essi stessi hanno stabilito. Operatori del servizio clienti impreparati che nemmeno leggono i messaggi e rispondono con messaggi precompilati. Prima hanno conquisttao quote di mercato pagando le tasse nei paradisi fiscali e abbassando i prezzi a scapito dei piccoli negozianti e adesso hanno rialzato i prezzi a danno di tutti noi. Immaginate che la stampa di un libro incide per il 70% del prezzo, follia pura! Trattano gli scrittori che pubblicano come schiavi. Sono indignato.

Ho comprato Kindle paperwhite nel 2021 per sostituire il vecchio rotto, che era ancora con i tasti laterali per il giro pagina. Purtroppo sono delusa e leggo di meno perchè: 1- non si caricacano i testi in russo (solo pdf), 2- non indica la posizione, ovvero quantità totale e parziale delle pagine, 3- sfogliando indietro salta due o quattro pagine, 4- non si spegne completamente (manca proprio la funzione di spegnimento) ma si mette in standby "spegni lo schermo", e la batteria si scarica anche senza utilizzo attivo.
Guardate che questo non succedeva con il Kindl basico di primi passi, cioè quello con i tasti e lo schermo normale. Adesso pure questo touchscreen è fastidioso: se per sbaglio lo tocchi ti cambia la pagina.
Beh... Lo uso, ma con antipatia.

Kindle funziona bene.
Solo che se vi azzardate a chiudere il conto come ho fatto io (perchè non avevo più bisogno di Prime Video e delle spedizioni, usando un altro conto in famiglia) perdete tutti i libri.
Cioè quando comprate i libri non sono vostri (non avete un PDF), sono vostri solo fino a quando retate con Amazon

Amazon say new paper white ‘24 has 12 weeks of battery life. Rubbish - I have consistently got 2 - 3 weeks of everyday use and battery is on low.
Forget customer service - impossible to get anywhere!

Agree also that the trial kindle inlets offer is a scam.

This will be my last kindle. I feel swindled as I bought it for the longer battery life!

If I could leave a zero score I would, so disappointed with Kindle Unlimited. It's not the first time I tried to use it, without success. Always an issue with payment method which constantly has to re addressed at additional hassle to myself. Not worth it. Avoid.

El servicio de libro electrónico Kindle, es una excelente opción para leer de forma ecologics y además económica. Tienes muchisimos libros a buen precio que incluso no llegan a los 10 euros, lo cual esta muy bien te ahorras dinero y espacio en tu casa. Si eres prime tienes libros gratuitos, pero otros son con Kindle unlimited. Aun así estoy muy contenta con la app, ya me leí muchos libros, de calidad, puedes aumentar o reducir la letra, ver el tiempo que queda para acabar un capítulo o las horas para terminar el libro, incluso te permite visualizar los capítulos que hay en un libros. Puedes comprar libros desde la app,desde amazon o desde la tableta Kindle. El, servicio que ofrece por lo general es bueno, no tengo quejas, pienso que vale la pena descargar la app, así tienes tus libros Kindle donde quieras.
Lo único malo que veo que el progreso de la app y de la tableta Kindle no se sincronizan, que si por ejemplo leíste hasta el capítulo 47 de un libro en la app, en la tableta se quedó al 36 y cuando avanzas en la tableta, no avanza al capítulo por el que vas. , que no se sincroniza bien el progreso de lectura

Es ist unmöglich ein Buch zu erstellen. Habe 4x angefangen und komme einfach nicht ans Ende. Einstellungen wechseln einfach so. Komplizierter gehts nicht mehr. Eine Katastrophe!! Nicht zu empfehlen. Nichts ausser Ärger! Kein Support!

Kindle paper white is slow, unresponsive and a pain to navigate. Don't get me started on having to pay extra for not having ads. Having had a few over the years, this is the last. Bought it some time ago, stopped using for ages and then started it up again. Still rubbish ..,,

Ponerte en marcha sale gratis, crean obras desde tus archivos y no es culpa de ellos, sino de las leyes de traca hispanoeuropeas que tengan que enviar los ejemplares desde lejos, Ingram no pueda funcionar...
