constant harassment from my experience and every other experience i've heard.. extremely suspicious company.

i don't trust the trustpilot reviews they shove in your face on their website at ALL. suddenly there's a new "lowell" on here with thousands of bot-like reviews that came suddenly out of nowhere after all of the harassment claims they've had for years. yet I look at lowell reviews everywhere else, and it's entirely negative. I find it highly suspicious. This nasty corp needs to be investigated.

Still a shit show of a company the reviews say it all to be fair .. even tho they have tried every trick in the book to get me for a payment they cant even force and lieing by saying ive got a ccj when I hadn't ..by sending me fake photocopied court documents.. I phoned these drips and they realised they cant chase anything or proceeded with anything they still decide to send letters .. texts and calls .. what a shit show u are !!!

Forderung komplett bezahlt aber Lowell bestätigt die Zahlung einfach nicht

Meine Frau hat eine Forderung eines Kreditkartenunternehmens nicht beglichen ( sie ist Brasilianerin) und Lowell hat diese Forderung gekauft.
Als ich die Briefe von Lowell gelesen hatte, habe ich sofort die gesamte Summe überwiesen und einen Nachweis der Zahlung meiner Bank per Email an Lowell geschickt.
Lowell hat darauf überhaupt nicht reagiert und darauf hin habe ich eine letzte Frist zur Abrechnung gesetzt.
Nach Ablauf dieser Frist erstatte ich eine Strafanzeige wegen Betrug.
Mittlerweile hat Lowell reagiert und eine komplette Abrechnung, die jetzt natürlich noch geprüft werden muss, per Post zugeschickt. Ob dieses auch ohne Fristsetzung erfolgt wäre....???

Forderungsaufkäufer mit Betrugsmasche

Versucht uralte, verjährte, Schrottforderungen geltend zu machen.

Ich wurde angeschrieben wegen einer angeblich offenen Forderung eines mir unbekannten Gläubigers. Nach Nachfrage telefonisch teilte man mir mit, dass diese über 15 Jahre alt sei. Ich bat um Nachweise, dass irgendwas offen sei. Dann wurde mir eine Tabelle mit einer internen Vertragsnummer und Beträgen zugeschickt. Hier gab es keinen Nachweis, dass jemals diese gelisteten Summen existiert haben oder weshalb. Ein Rechtsgrund oder eine Leistung konnte auch auf Nachfragen nicht genannt werden. Ich habe die Forderung abgewiesen, da sie verjährt und ebenfalls unberechtigt ist.

Was hier ganz offensichtlich geschieht ist dass en masse uralte Forderungsdatenbanken für Cents aufgekauft werden, dann werden millionenfach böse Schreiben für nicht durchsetzbare Zombieforderungen verschickt, in der Hoffnung, dass ein Prozentteil von ahnungslosen Empfängern aus Angst/Unwissen zahlen. Damit wird dann enormer Profit auf rechtswidrige Weise erwirtschaftet. Auf gar keinen Fall zahlen!!! Die Forderungen sind NICHT legitim!

Debt Purchasing Chancers. Don't Pay.

They bought bad debt of mine, and despite their various tactics to try and seduce me into paying, failed miserably.

I wrote informing them I was 'judgement proof' and not to waste their time repeating this in the future.

However, here we go again as they've bought yet more debt of mine,yet again for a pittance, whilst claiming the full amount, making exorbitant profits in the meantime.

They quite clearly are pretty stupid as they don't learn. They're Scumbag Debt Purchasers who claim to be your friend.

They're NOT!

Don't pay these chancers a penny.

I’ve had a very frustrating experience…

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Lowell (debt collectors) regarding an alleged debt they claim I owe on behalf of Very. The situation makes no sense to me — the original item I purchased from Very was only £30, and that balance was already fully paid. Despite this, Lowell have contacted me claiming I owe £120, which feels completely unjustified.

I’ve found their approach confusing and concerning, as the amount they’re demanding does not match the original purchase or any outstanding balance I’m aware of. From my perspective, this raises serious questions about how these figures are being calculated and communicated.

Because of this, I do not feel confident engaging with their demands or making any further payments. My experience has left me feeling that the process lacks transparency and fairness, and it highlights broader concerns about how debt collection practices can sometimes operate.

I would strongly encourage anyone contacted in similar circumstances to carefully review their records, question any discrepancies, and seek independent advice before taking action

I keep getting txt messages from a…

I keep getting txt messages from a company that comes through as just Lowell.
Firstly I have no debts currently, other than another made up debt by DWP for working tax credits 10 years ago that I paid of 5 years ago and they claim I didn't and are robbing me blind for it again. Something I am currently looking into legal proceedings against.
As for the info from Lowell. I have received no phone calls recently other than spam calls. I have received no letter about any debt from any company I may or may not owe a debt to. There is no information on the txts other than stating to contact so they can help me. Rob me more like. The number is different from lowells official website number. There is a link that I am not clicking on. There is no way to reply to the txt, nor report it, nor block it.
After seeing that all the scammers that use that use this company name as a front and thst the company also buy people's numbers illegally and change name's, addresses etc im simply going to ignore it seen as I do not want to entertain another bunch of robbing scumbags like DWP are.
I would like whatever this about sent in writing please so I can investigate further as I believe you have got the wrong i formation.

Harassment!

Harassment!! Letters, phoning my mobile.. Even my husband's phone which I never gave you because it's not his debt. I block you and you try again using a different number and I block you again and so on..
The debt is about 10 years old and I'm stupidly still paying you for it. You keep DEMANDING I call to discuss my payment plan. I've been made to take ill health retirement and you're lucky you still get something from me every month. I'm asking you to back off or I'll seek legal advice!.

These people are absolute scum of the…

These people are absolute scum of the earth scammers who prey like vultures on vulnerable people and they ought to be thoroughly ashamed.

They buy unsecured debt for pennies on the pound which is quite often statute barred and then try to trick uniformed people into paying it.

What they don't want you to know is when you sign a credit agreement there is a clause saying they can sell the debt to "firms" like lowells but nowhere in the contract did you agree to actually PAY the company they sell it to which totally violates the bills of exchange act of 1882.

You don't have to pay them a penny as when they bought the debt the original debt was settled and since you didn't sign any agreement with lowell OR agree to pay them in the original credit agreement legally they don't have a leg to stand on.

They have been trying to get £500 off me for years for a statute barred debt from 2012 and they'll never see a penny as i legally owe them nothing and neither does anyone else.

Lowell are chasing me for a JD Williams Simply Be account I have never opened. I told them someone used my name because this is not my debt and they said that they cannot find any evidence of fraud. I never entered into a credit agreement with JD Williams and I have asked them to show me where I have and my signature because I absolutely know that I never did

Lying, harrassing scam artists probably breaking the law.

I am once again getting hassled by these people. This is the third time I've written a review. They keep hassling me with phone calls, texts and letters saying I have a Paypal credit debt. I have never taken out credit with Paypal so this debt is completely false and they are scam artists. Every time I write a review, they seem to stop for a few months, but then start again. It's reaching the point now where I'm going to explore legal proceedings against them for harassment. I'm pretty sure what they're doing is illegal.

And no, I will not give you further personal information of mine, since that seems to be your standard response to these complaints.

EDIT: I am not responding to your request for further information because I don't want you to have more of my personal data. I have just received yet another letter about a debt that isn't mine. I've already reported you to the ombudsman and if this continues I will be contacting the police.

Nur schlechte Erfahrung mit diesem Untenehmenskonstrukt gemacht. Emails werden gar nicht beantwortet, 30 Minuten Warteschleife bei Anrufen, dann mit unhöflichen Mitarbeitern konfrontiert mit schlechten Deutschkenntnissen, die einem nicht weiterhelfen "können". Ich kann nur abraten Geschaftsbeziehungen zu diesem Unternehmen oder der Muttergesellschaft Lowell Group einzugehen. Ich bin zu tiefst enttäuscht von allem was ich von Lowell kennengelernt habe. Nie wieder. 0 von 5 Sternen wäre angebracht.

I am raising this review because i am experiencing significant harrasment from Lowell about a debt that i know nothing about i have repeatedly emailed and told them i do not acknowledge this debt and this debt appears to be dating back 7+ years which means it should be statute barred by now, i dont acknowledge this debt it is not my debt and i want proof of how you got my personal information and proof of who sold you the debt because i do not owe money to EON i have not been with them for over 8 years now they can f*** right off.

Terrible company, trying to get money via harassment.

Lowell 100% harrassment

This company use harrassment, threats and bullying as a way of getting what they want. They are unethical thugs and i have logged a complaint regarding their shocking conduct. I have also reported them to the FCA. They should be struck off.
