Their website suggests you can do a payment plan, you can’t .. you can only pay full amount or they will carry on with legal

So this company even though my income showed minus £150 a month they doubled the payment. I will be contacting the Ombudsman as this will cost them more than my debt. You should all contact the ombudsman and cost these scum a huge amount of money. They are filth.
Ps.dont bother giving me your standard reply as it is just as crap as your company and patheticly untrained staff. Keep making complaints against them. They hate it.

Hour lunch break and failed to get through. I can’t keep calling I work 12 hour shifts and care for a disabled child. How is this acceptable when you have given me a ten day deadline that’s approaching? Could you pause all further action on my account until you do manage to get to my email ??????

My experience with Overdales has been extremely frustrating.
I am currently involved in court proceedings concerning an alleged debt that has been disputed on the basis of identity fraud. Throughout this process I have encountered contradictory information, poor communication, and what appears to be a lack of coordination between the various parties involved.
Overdales have, at different times, asserted liability remained while also informing the Court that there was no active judgment to set aside and that the hearing should be vacated. As a customer attempting to understand my position, receiving inconsistent messages has been both confusing and concerning.
When raising questions about fraud indicators identified within SAR disclosures, including email addresses not belonging to the alleged debtor, the use of a deceased relative's telephone number, and the absence of signed agreements or identity verification documents, I found responses often failed to address the specific points being raised.
The matter has caused significant distress to a vulnerable individual, and rather than receiving clear explanations, I have repeatedly had to chase for information and clarification.
My biggest criticism is not simply the dispute itself, but the apparent lack of communication, consistency, and accountability throughout the process. When dealing with serious matters involving court action and enforcement, accuracy and clear communication should be the minimum standard.
I hope the issues raised in this case lead to improvements in how vulnerable customers and disputed accounts are handled in future.

Disgraceful bunch of cowboys
Absolute joke of a company. They set up a payment plan for an old debt, I agreed to it and paid every installment in full and on time. Paid the last installment last month and direct debit was finished. Have since had emails saying their system did not set up the installments correctly and I now owe another 268. Not only that, they have threatened enforcement action in the first email they have sent me about it, before I have even had a chance to respond,
If they can't set up a simple plan correctly then threaten enforcement action, they need to up their game. Disgusting.

Great service all round
Im presently paying off an outstanding debt i had run up and burried my head in the sand til the ccj letter came through, I called overdales cant remember the name of the young man I spoke to but he got the ccj stopped and a plan put in place. They were great and worked with what I could afford each month, my debt will be gone in 4 months snd a massive weight off my shoulders so thank you overdales for all your support and help.

Bloody disgusting my son was paying a debt off but missed a few payments due to being out of work and website wouldn’t allow him to reset up a new plan he then emailed them said he would pay so much each week £20 as the debt was only £540 got it down to £400 and boom court papers through the door and with costs have now bumped up to £596 I am fuming !!

I wrote an email to the address they provided on the letter to agree on a payment plan and terms, but no one has responded. I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible, as it did not work when I tried to do it online.

I don't understand all the negative reviews here? I've just recently paid off my debt and when I had issues or questions I just rung up, asked and I got answers.
Pretty fast to respond too and professional so no complaints really.
On my account it said letter before court action dispatched which I never got but noticed this on the account so got a payment plan setup, stuck with it and even paid it off early.
Overdales are human, they understand people go through hard times and as for the you don't have permission for my phone number, actually they do. When a debt gets passed to them, phone contract for example it will say something like missed payments may result passing your account to a debt collection firm. This can be any firm. Overdales wouldn't just ring random numbers. Anyway getting back on track. I've got no complaints against overdales and was a pleasure working with the. Before someone accuses me and think I work for them, I don't, I just believe in posting honest reviews and factual information.

Avoid Overdales Solicitors at all costs.
My experience with this firm has been nothing short of appalling, and the consequences of their actions are still damaging my life today.
I was issued a CCJ for £1,300, which I have since paid in full within a year. Despite this, Overdales have refused to show even the slightest level of fairness, discretion, or basic human understanding.
At the time the CCJ was issued, I was dealing with a perfect storm of circumstances completely outside of my control. I had lost my job due to COVID, my post was being incorrectly delivered, and my mother was seriously ill with COVID pneumonia. I had to leave my home to care for her, meaning I never received any of the original court documentation.
Overdales were made fully aware of this.
They simply did not care.
There was no attempt to review the situation properly, no willingness to acknowledge genuine mitigating circumstances, and no effort to act reasonably. Instead, they chose to take the most rigid and damaging route possible, hiding behind process rather than exercising any form of professional judgment.
This is the only CCJ I have ever had. I took responsibility and paid the balance off as quickly as I could, yet I am now left dealing with the long-term fallout. My credit profile has been severely impacted, and I am now being declined for car finance, mortgages, and other essential financial products. The financial damage this has caused is significant and ongoing.
What is most concerning is the complete lack of empathy and accountability shown throughout. For a firm operating in such a sensitive area, their approach felt entirely indifferent to the real-world consequences of their actions.
UPDATE:
This situation became even worse.
I was forced to spend over £2,000 on a solicitor to prepare a full court application, clearly outlining the exceptional circumstances that led to this CCJ. I provided detailed evidence showing that I never received the original documents and that I acted responsibly by paying the debt in full.
Despite all of this, Overdales chose to actively fight against my application in court.
Rather than taking a fair or compassionate approach, they opposed the set aside request and pushed for the judgment to remain even though the debt had already been settled. As a result, the CCJ was upheld, and I was then ordered to pay additional legal costs to Overdales on top of everything else.
This is not just unreasonable it is deeply concerning.
At every stage, Overdales had the opportunity to act with basic decency and common sense. Instead, they chose to pursue the most aggressive and punitive route possible, regardless of the circumstances or the clear evidence presented.
The result is that I have now suffered significant financial damage, not just from the CCJ itself, but from the additional legal costs they pursued against me.
This experience has shown a complete lack of empathy, fairness, and accountability. It felt less like dealing with a professional firm and more like being pushed through a system that has no regard for real people or genuine hardship.
I would strongly question how this firm operates when faced with legitimate mitigating circumstances.
Despicable company to have to deal with.

Many negative reviews but spoke to a helpful colleague
I've seen many negative reviews about this firm, claiming the staff are unhelpful, aggressive, pushy, and unreasonable etc. However, from my personal experience, speaking with a staff member called Lena was positive; she was kind, helpful, and reasonable. She understood my situation well and managed to set up a monthly payment plan smoothly without any issues or complications. If it is true that other staff members are nasty bullies working for this firm, then it is a shame that they all can't be like Lena.
