We received a training session from Kerry at Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services who delivered an incredibly informative and thought-provoking session to our team. I learnt so much and have lots of key takeaways to implement into my practise as well as to read up on! This was a very practical, hands-on session that challenged perceptions and really made us think about a lot of elements of our therapy with young people!

We have accessed this service for a number of months and the service has been excellent in supporting our Younge People. Always professional, flexible in attending meetings and always helpful with queries. As a result we have started to increase the amount we use them and their services. Ella did a talk on PDA at the Autism and ADHD show which was really engaging and which showed how MOTS understand and are able to personalise their approach with each child. I really enjoyed the talk, thanks MOTS!:)

Manchester Occupational Therapy Service has been operating within our Special Educational Needs School for the past few years. They have proven to be an invaluable component of our multidisciplinary team, providing specialist input that significantly enhances both student engagement, regulation and overall wellbeing. The therapists bring a wealth of knowledge and a child-centred approach that aligns with the school’s inclusive and therapeutic ethos.

Our OT is a great asset to our school. She engages well with children, staff and parents and is always on hand to offer support and advice. Would highly recommend!

Ella did a great talk at the Autism and ADHD show on PDA. It was really informative, it showed how great MOTS are at adapting to the needs of the child. All the staff at the stall was very friendly and able to answer any questions confidently.

The Occupational Therapist that was assigned to us has become an invaluable member of the school team. Communication is excellent with all stakeholders and her creative solutions for individuals and for the organisation has positively impacted on not only on the support we provide but the way we think.

The assessments and interventions completed by the OT are informative and help us to put targeted support in place for our students.
Reports are informative and provide us with many recommendations for support and outcomes.
The OT also supports with upskilling our staff so they are able to effectively support the students in school.

The content was really useful and delivered in an informal way which invited participation. It was difficult to hear from the back row sometimes. We are really grateful for the session and would attend further training as parents/Grandparents. I also attended as an EYFS teacher where I will use some of the training given.

Sara McLaughlin gave a great overview of PDA with some great practical ideas for parents or schools. Great session.
