Excellent presentation from Sarah and Ellie at St John Vianney School this afternoon.

Very disappointing. Apalling. A business of selling assessments. Not sticking to commitments. Overpriced. £120+ per session, while the market price is £80. Hope other parents will avoid this scam. I had to pay for the report which I didn't need, just to be able to access the therapy which I requested from the very beginning, and then tney cancelled the agreed therapy sessions. Just wasted £1000. Have to start from scratch with a new place, look for proper therapy. This experience cost me a lot, but I'm never going back to MOT.
The therapists are ok, but 50% more expensive than any other place. The administrator, the bus. dev. manager.....are just useless, zero empathy, not able to communicate clearly. Very frustrating experience.

We had the pleasure of meeting Sara Mclaughlin and Emily Ong from Manchester Occupational Therapy Service at the Autism Show in Manchester, and I can’t speak highly enough of our experience with them. Their presentation was incredibly informative, and their dedication to customer care was evident when we had the chance to speak with them afterward.

Our son has a complex set of diagnoses, and we were looking for a comprehensive OT assessment, as our previous assessment hadn’t captured the full picture. Our first session with Sara in clinic was amazing. From the moment we arrived, Sara made my son feel completely at ease, and he thoroughly enjoyed using all the equipment. He was encouraged to move around freely, and Sara’s engaging approach really put him at ease. It was clear she knew how to tailor the session to his needs in such a kind, patient, and interactive way.

Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing both Sara and Emily at home, and we have several future appointments booked in. Sara’s approach is not only professional but also incredibly caring—she always takes the time to explain everything in a way that my son can understand, which is something we truly appreciate.

I’m so grateful for our chance encounter at the Autism Show and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Manchester Occupational Therapy Service to anyone looking for high-quality, compassionate support.

Clare is incredibly professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable in her field. She has been fantastic in supporting a wide range of local CEIAG initiatives to help local students and young people learn about careers in the care, counselling and occupational therapy professions. She speaks with such confidence and energy, showing her ability to adapt and communicate with different audiences, inspiring others and helping them to identify challenges and opportunities to overcome them. A huge thank you to Manchester Occupational Therapy Services and the fantastic James for helping us run a Halloween Sensory Play Event for a local specialist primary school. He was super helpful on the day making brews and supporting the families and children whilst playing. It was so lovely of you to offer to help and for James to give up his time to support us.

Clare supported our school helping pupils through Mock Interviews - her questions to them were insightful and thoughtful and her feedback was informative and supportive. Thank you Clare, we look forward to working with you in the future!

My son was very poorly when he was younger and so he missed out on a lot of schooling. His medication combined with hyper mobility has really affected his handwriting. It was illegible and he didn't have the strength in his hand to write more than a couple of sentences. We were told that he would probably have to use a keyboard when it came to exams in highschool. In year 7, we found Manchester Occupational Therapy services and they offered 1:1 hand writing sessions. Ashleigh was fantastic. My son really liked her and after only 6/8 weeks the change in his handwriting was amazing!! He has since completed GCSE's and 4 A levels ...all handwritten and is now heading off to University. Hence my review.... because it's nice to see the results and how they have improved my son's life years down the road!! I can't recommend them enough. My sister is a teacher and she even sent her daughter to Manchester OT just to improve her handwriting!☺️
