Founded in 2014 by Matea Saule, the brand began with a memory: her grandmother, a dressmaker in Banja Luka, who left finished dresses hanging on a rail when the family fled Bosnia in 1996. That knowledge — the care, the attention, the belief that how something is made matters as much as what is made — became the foundation Matea was built on. Matea isn't only a fashion label, though every piece of clothing is designed in Australia and made in small quantities, considered rather than mass-produced. It's also home to Fearless Female Friday, a weekly musing written for almost a decade to remind women of who they are, now read by thousands each week and soon to become a book. And it's home to a growing collection of ritual objects — fragrance, hair adornments, and more — designed for the small daily moments of returning to yourself. Beige fur jacket
Absolutely thrilled with my beautiful beige rabbit fur jacket. The quality is exceptional — incredibly soft, luxurious and even more beautiful in person. The beige colour was the perfect choice to complement my dress and really completed the whole look.
The customer service was also outstanding. They went above and beyond to have my jacket sent out immediately so that I would receive it in time for my event and delivery was incredibly fast.
Such a beautiful, high-quality piece and a wonderful shopping experience from start to finish. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and would highly recommend. 🤍

OMG!! Jacket is beautiful - exactly as shown but what you can't see is how amazing it feels. Just gorgeous. But the best bit was their customer service was exemplary. I'm always wary when purchasing online from a new store as have had a few bad experiences but when I checked on tracking as I needed it to arrive before an event (my niece's wedding), I was promptly answered and reassured. Just fantastic. I wish all online shopping was this good. Do not hesitate to purchase - I'm so glad I did

Goods returned (with Matea approval) and acknowledgment of receipt of goods by Matea on 26 th November but no refund received. Two weeks have now passed since Matea received the return.

I LOOOVE matea designs
I LOOOVE matea designs. My white dress is absolutely beautiful and fits like a glove…. I’m the biggest fan and love my weekly female fearless Friday emails. They always feel like they were written just for me and at times put a spring back in my step after a tough week.
