Bij mijn zoektocht naar een lichte en betaalbare headless gitaar die ook nog betrouwbaar is, handig in onderhoud, ergonomisch gebouwd en vlot bespeelbaar, kwam ik uit bij een Hils HN3. Bij reviews las ik echter dat die in de fabriek afgesteld werden met hoge actie, omdat de frethoogte nogal durfde afwijken, waardoor er dus makkelijk fretbuzz ontstond. Daarom aan Max Gitaar gevraagd om de gitaar af te stellen met zo laag mogelijke actie zonder fretbuzz. Ik kreeg onmiddellijk bevestiging dat dit zou gebeuren.

En wat een service: een perfect naar wens afgestelde gitaar met mooi afgewerkte frets, zelfs bij levering nog perfect gestemd, zeer vlot bespeelbaar, met mooi klankenpalet, in een stevige draagtas, en perfect beschermd in dubbele verpakking. Nooit gedacht dat je voor minder dan 500€, all-in thuis geleverd, nu nog zo'n prima gitaar en zo'n perfecte service zou krijgen. Bedankt, Max Guitar.

Ik heb een Fender Telecaster, naar het schijnt de 1e bouw die de Haar heeft gedaan tijdens zijn gitaarbouwlessen bij Vox Humana, ingeleverd voor afstelwerk en wat fret buzz. Hier kreeg ik een hele enthousiaste Paul aan de balie die zijn ziel en zaligheid heeft gelegd in het afstellen en fret levelling en wow wat een heerlijk spelende gitaar is het weer. Heb Paul hartelijk bedankt voor zijn gouden handen en service. Trouwens niet onbelangrijk, zeeeer vriendelijk geprijsd!! Super aanrader.

Snelle levering, uitstekend verpakt en goede communicatie en een prachtige nieuwe gitaar!

I bought a brand new D'Angelico guitar. I received it 3 days after the order, via UPS. Packaging was neat and former contacts (about mean of payment) precise and clear.
The price itself: last piece in the shop so incredibly low (30% less then the best price all over the Internet).
Quality: set up and instrument in perfect conditions. It's a D'Angelico, so no surprise, but it's clear that the shop knows how to treat gear like this.

So I cannot say anything bad, just a really positive experience. 5 stars, no doubt.

PS It's not the first time I buy from a Dutch vendor and I keep on having a very good impression from how the consider customers in that Country.

Na enig zoeken naar een lichte, goed gemaakte elektrische gitaar, vond ik bij deze superfijne gitaarwinkel een Hils HN3. De service, eerlijk en gedegen advies en alle ruimte om gitaren uit te proberen maakte het mogelijk voor mij. De kers op de taart was de gitaar meteen afstellen met een zeer ervaren reparateur. Every time I visit this guitar dungeon I’am amazed and baffled by the friendliness en knowledge of all the boys that inhabit this cave. I came with a question about a certain telecaster and the boys where fully prepared. After minor adjustments and new strings, and a good deal about the stuff I brought in, I went home a very happy man with a telecaster custom shop heavy relic

Vandaag een geweldige mooie originele 1979 Fender Stratocaster gescoord .Wouter heeft hem open gedraaid en gecheckt of alles origineel was en mij de foto’s toegestuurd. Alles klopte aan deze gitaar . Waar vind je nog zulke service 👍🏻

After testing 8 guitars (OOO and dreadnaughts) and good advise I bought a Martin custom shop OM-18, a fantastic instrument! Price allright and no problem to trade-in my old guitar for a fair price. Thx for the customer focus! Best regards, Peter

Ik kocht een Gretsch Silver Falcon van 3.000 EUR. Ik ontving de gitaar maar deze was volgens mij niet correct afgesteld, het klonk niet goed vooral op de G-snaar. Ik wil het terugsturen maar ze doen moeilijk en willen het niet terugkrijgen. Ze bieden wel aan dat ik op hun kosten ergens mijn gitaar gratis laat afstellen. Ik wil dit niet omdat ik vind dat een gitaar van 3.000 EUR niet zo snel zou afstellen. Ik heb gitaren van verschillende prijsklassen online gekocht en nog nooit zoeits meegemaakt. Ik vraag enkele keer wat de retourkosten zijn, ik krijg als antwoord dat het ongeveer 60 EUR heen en terug is. Ik zeg dat ik zoals op elke andere website enkel zal betalen voor de retourkosten en niet zowel heen als terug. Ik heb zelfs bij de aankoop al verzendkosten betaald. Ik krijg als antwoord dat er veel dingen niet normaal zijn zoals dat ik de gitaar wil terugsturen. WAT EEN ONVRIENDELIJKE REACTIE! Volgens Google is de persoon die mij telkens antwoord de CEO van de winkel. ZO KAN JE TOCH NIET MET KLANTEN OMGAAN? Hij zegt dan dat hij de heen kosten niet in rekening zal brengen. Ik denk dus dat ik zo'n 30 EUR zal moeten betalen en stuur het terug.

Ik krijg dan enkele dagen later een bericht over wat er mis is met de gitaar. Hij zegt dat de wieltjes van de locking tuners los zijn gekomen tijdens de levering. DIT KAN TOCH NIET LOSKOMEN TIJDENS DE LEVERING? Wat een zever! Zo'n dure gitaar die door de levering los komt?

Enkele dagen later ontvang ik mijn geld terug, maar er is 65 EUR afgehouden. Ik stuur waarom dat het zo hoog is en hij zegt dat dat de werkelijke kosten zijn. 65 EUR VOOR EEN GITAAR TE VERZENDEN? Bij GearForMusic kost het maar 9 EUR. Dus hoe kan het bij hun 65 EUR kosten? Ik heb eens gekeken op de site van UPS en volgens mijn berekening zou het maximaal 20 EUR mogen gekost hebben. Ik stuur hem dat het zo op de website staat en krijg weer als antwoord dat dat de werkelijke kosten zijn.

KOOP NIET BIJ HUN!!!!!!!!!

Best service around, yet again. This time I must admit to have been quite a difficult customer: not only did I want that particular guitar, but even wanted it modded at the same time I came in, which was late in the afternoon. The team had it all covered, completely allowing me to have my cake and eat it there and then.
I was even accompanied back to the station in order to keep my new acquisition, including the case, brand new.

I purchased a D'Angelico Tour Excel Mini guitar from their webshop. When it arrived I noticed a minor cosmetic issue, so I returned it to the shop. They resolved the problem to my complete satisfaction.
By the way, the 'setup' done by guitar techs from Max Guitar was perfect!

Gitaar besteld. Binnen 2 dagen in huis. Prima afgesteld en geleverd. Heel blij mee, prima service!

Topwinkel met vakmensen, spelen zelf ook gitaar en weten waarover ze het hebben. Een ware snoepwinkel met zoveel moois, zowel elektrisch als akoestisch. Fijn dat er in popstad Den Haag nog deze echte muziekwinkel is. Bax en Thomann best leuk, maar Max is echt veel leuker!

When I was very young my father used to play money for nothing on the stereo really loud in his car and he was realy into dire straits . When I turned 16 my best friend played guitar and got me even more into dire straits & I began to learn the songs and his famous fingerpicking . Mark knopfler to me is the greatest guitarist.

I always dreamt of to own a schecter Stratocaster Custom shop since I was like 18 years old. Luckily they had one for sale. - A sultan custom shop prototype gen1.
I called them on a Wednesday and they kept it reserved for me. I traveled from Denmark to den haag - about 800km. I realy hope I can justify and find an excuse to visit them again. Its a stunning guitar store at a beautiful location🥹
When I arrived they were waiting for me even though I arrived 25 min before they actually opened.
They made me a cup of coffee and the people working there really makes you feel welcome.
I can’t remember one time I had such a good experience.
They are the best!😇
If I’m in a situation where I want to buy another unique guitar I will absolutely take the trip to Max Guitar again.

I’ve been going back to MaxGuitar for about 7 years now. I bought a wonderful Gibsons ES335 Custom Shop there, which I traded back for my dream Gibson Les Paul. I bought an EXCELLENT American Original 60’s Stratocaster there (which was the last sunburst one to come in before the series ended and they messaged me when it came in because they knew I wanted one), and recently I bought the Fender Tone Master RF 12 for my Helix. Every time they somehow manage to make it a wonderful experience being there! (Ps: their coffee is excellent) I’ve been there many times just to try out gear, amps, guitars, just to see if there’s anything good for me. They always give me all the space and time I need to poke around and play whatever I desire. As a photographer I also enjoy taking pictures of their amazing collection of guitars, especially the Gibson Custom Shop guitars. (PS: Sometimes there’s a crazy guitarist called Sasha there demoing for Youtube, be warned about him, you could have a great laugh if interaction takes place 😋) Al in al, excellent shop, great employees, great owner and amazing collection of guitars, amps and related products! Worth visiting even if you’re not planning to buy anything (but be warned, you WILL be tempted to go home with something from their amazing collection).
