Bought a Cartier watch on line in February which had been described as mint. When the watch turned up a few days later I was made up with the condition. It was exactly as it had been described and will definitely be going back to them when I see something else that catches my eye. Thanks mays 👍

Many Thanks to Sue, Mel and Gemma from the Ashton branch especially Sue, Fantastic customer service and so helpful and polite, they are a credit to your company. Although I was quite annoyed and very upset upon spending just shy of a thousand pound in the Oldham store a couple of months back. The way in which I was treated by the staff in that store was disgusting I totally understand that the store has no doors or security guard inside and has to be very cautious when dealing with bringing expensive jewellery out to view. But to be lied to and told they just needed to weigh the item then made to wait for over 20 mins in the store feeling very awkward whilst being looked up and down by the other staff until the shopping centre security come bouncing in like the was a robbery with a very aggressive manner and came and stood right at the side of me. Then the staff member suddenly reappeared to show me the item. Obviously by this point I was ready for walking out but I had fell in love with the item a few weeks earlier when I had called in and was treated totally different as I think it was because I was in my suit. I bought the item in the end even though I really wanted to walk away because of the experience I had. I and also a lot of my family have used Mays for well over 20 years and have bought a very lot of jewellery from them they have all ways been first class and would highly recommend Collyhurst, Salford, Ashton, are fantastic wouldn’t step foot in Oldham again.

I called into the Ashton store today for the first time just to have a quick browse. Let me tell you I definitely will be coming back again and recommending others, as all the ladies in there were very helpful and polite. I felt as they went above and beyond even though they was aware that I wasn't purchasing anything today. For examples pulling out numerous pads for me too look at and even showing me online with the iPad. What a lovely bunch of ladies!

Is it true our lovely Olwyn from The Royal Exchange Manchester Has retired so upset !!!!
We have built up an amazing relationship with Olwyn over the years that no one can replace!!!!
My husband and I would like to wish her a very long and happy retirement !

Rochdale Road Branch. Went in to Mays Rochdale Rd branch today to sell some jewellery. The person who dealt with me was Pam..she was knowledgeable, courteous and extremely pleasant,the whole transaction was smooth and extremely professional and I must add...the doorman was a delight too, courteous and very pleasant, all in all a very good experience. Having used the oldham branch for years we were very disappointed and angry about them trying to get away with handing my charm bracelet back with a charm missing. When i phoned up they were complacent until i told them which charm it was, their attitude changed then and they claimed to know nothing about it. It then took them over a month to locate a replacement and several phone calls on our part to speak to a manager. When we went to pick up my repaired bracelet the shop assistant just handed my bracelet over like that was it job done. It then took more phone calls to get hold of the manager despite numerous messages for him to phone me back, they offered to refund the cost of putting the charms on in the first place, we was overwhelmed by their generosity as it was £18.00 they were offering, what a joke this company is. The general manager was full of BS saying of course a gold bracelet looses weight while it is being polished and no one knew the charm had been broken off, as it was being polished, and other excuses. We will never trust them again and my whole family and friends will never set foot in that dodgy store again.

My wife lost an earring what I bought her from her a few years previously, I went into the shop on the off chance they might still have them in they didn't but Emma who delt with me was amazing and after making quiet a few phone call to other branches she contacted the suppliers and got me the exact same earrings.
Absolutely amazing service would completely recommend

Such a lovely friendly shop, Olwyn and Rhiannon were so helpful and went out of their way to ensure I got the pieces I was looking for. I am so happy with everything, and so was my son too when got back with them. I would highly recommend this jewellers in the Royal Echange Manchester.

I took my wife's charm bracelet in to have a couple of new charms put on, the assistant thought I was trying to sell it( we have been using Mays since we got the bracelet). I got a call to say I could collect it, the assistant was acting a bit strange. when I got home my wife checked it, she found one of the charms was missing from the bracelet, she then phoned Mays straight away. to cut a long story short they denied knowing about it and took over 6 weeks to find a replacement and several phone calls made to them later the bracelet was fixed and they gave us a refund for having the charms put on in the first place as a gesture of good will. We will never trust them again.

I took a piece of jewellery to sell and they had a good look and made me an offer, I said I would think about it. A few days later I mad a special journey to sell it to them.. They had another look and reduced their offer by a third. Never again. Tricky.

I was looking for a birthday present for myself of my dad. I went into the Royal Exchange Branch, Manchester. The window display was small in size but tasteful done. There is a buzzer door system in and out . I ended up buying two rings. The staff were friendly and easy to connect with.
