I have been using MDLive (for Cigna) for about 5 years. In short, it was not too bad at first, but as time has been progressing, the quality of its service continues to decline. I had my PCP and behavioral health teams on MDLive. Appointment management is terrible: one needs to cancel an appointment before being able to reschedule one, unless your provider schedules your follow-ups with you, it can take months to get another appointment. Lab work has been "experiencing a national outage" for about 3 years now, so lab orders take at least one week to get through, if they even make it to the lab. Referrals do not work properly. MDLive pushes Express Scripts pharmacy delivery services hard, but this service is so bad (delayed prescriptions, issues with insurance, can't get a hold of my MDLive PCP, medication doesn't arrive on time), I opted out of it. Save yourself the stress and frustration and see an in-person provider for recurring appointments. Urgent Care and one-off appointments work fine, solely cause alternatives aren't usually better, but do NOT recommend recurring care through MDLive.

THE WORST EVER! STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. They just want you keep scheduling appointments one after the other without proper diagnosis. Doctors are pathetic. I will never ever use them again.

Please... do not use MDLIVE! We have tried them twice and both times was terrible! They will not give medication in hopes you will have to call back. First experience the doctor told my husband he needed to see a "real" the call lasted maybe 3 minutes long(most of which was verifying info,) yet we were still charged $68. The next time we were dumb enough to use this service, I was out of town and had dealt with sinus issues for weeks. I clearly know signs of a sinus infection. However, I was prescribed a nasal spray. Cigna is amazing but it makes me sick(pun intended) that they promote the use of MdLive. I hate MdLive and I think they are crooks!

Horrible and unethical company. Their site said they can handle prescription refills over virtual appointment. I put the reason for my appointment was for prescriptiin refill and listed the exact medication. Dr. Shannon Ellis called me for 2 min to cancel the appointment saying they don't prescribe the medicine on virtual appointment, then hung
Up and charged me the full $105 for a virtual appointment care. No service was rendered and no questions asked in this 2 minute phone call for him to cancel. Mdlive customer support has been unhelpful and tell me oh well, it's already charged and nothing they can do. This is unethical, and they should have not even let the appontment be scheduled if they don't provide any service for that, when I clearly stated that as the purpose of the appointment when scheduling it. Extremely upset over these crooks who havnt done the ethical thing. At the very least they should change the $105 full appointment fee to the $25 cancel fee since they canceled it, but they havnt done that.

Hoo boy! After today’s frustrating experience with MDLive, I reviewed online feedback and found many others reported similar issues. My encounter involved rude, abrupt, and dismissive physician assistants (PAs) who didn’t listen and hung up before resolving my concerns, reflecting a common experience.
During my initial call, the first PA hung up before completing our conversation. After waiting 15 minutes without a callback, I called again and reached a different PA. This second PA stated they couldn’t prescribe the medication the first PA had indicated was possible, citing MDLive’s “policy,” which raised my suspicions about inconsistent practices. She offered to connect me with the original PA but then hung up. After 30 minutes with no follow-up, I called the support number to speak with the first PA. I struggled to understand him due to a heavy accent, and he too hung up. Both PAs seemed rushed, frequently interrupting me, suggesting they were constrained by a call time limit. Ultimately, I visited my local urgent care, where I promptly received the needed treatment.
I have filed a complaint with Cigna and plan to submit a grievance to Medicare. Several reviews highlight similar issues with this Cigna-affiliated service, and I’m astonished Cigna continues to partner with MDLive given these consistent problems. This will be my last encounter with them.

We have to go to see our pediatrician because this doctor thinks this ear pain will go away with Flonase and the Sudafed behind the counter. I don't want him to take the stuff behind the counter. He is in pain give him some freaking antibiotics instead of the other BS. Why let him be in pain longer because of your fear of giving antibiotics for ear pain? Wasted of GD TIME.

I did an e-treatment for my symptoms, even sent photos of my red, splotchy throat and the person I got diagnosed me with just a cold. Even said I did not need antibiotics in their response message. A couple days later I felt worse and went to a real doctor. Turns out, I have strep throat. My throat was in real pain and I could have passed it to my husband by that point! I was awfully misdiagnosed, dangerously misdiagnosed. I called to get my money back and complain, but they will not give me a refund for the bad service. Do not use this, go to a real doctor.

For 4 months I have been harassed by MDlive. I had two separate appointments with them that I attended through my insurance company portal. One of them was billed normally, the other they never billed the insurance company for their portion. Since then I have not only been harassed with emails, texts and calls about this “past due balance”, but I have spent HOURS on the phone with my insurance company and MDlive trying to resolve the issue. They continue to say they will work on it, but I continue to be billed and harassed. I can’t reach anyone who can help and they will not respond to the BBB. This company is horribly run and shouldn’t receive business from anyone!

Charged $48 for a 30 second phone call of the “doctor” basically saying - “I can’t help you, you need to go in to see a doctor in person.” Tried contacting customer support twice to dispute the charge, and both times they said they would “transfer” me to a supervisor but just hung up on me.

If i could rate zero stars I would. This has been an absolute waste of time today. First the site said my minor child could not create an account that I had to and add her as a dependant. Then it wouldnt let me add her to my account so I called the 800 number and the lady said she needs her own account . Whatever make her one then. Account made, and appointment scheduled (within 10 min). Went through all that and waited 2 HOURS and never heard from a provider. Cancelled the video appointment and scheduled a phone appointment (within 5 minutes). Waited another hour and no provider. Should have just drove to urgent care 5 hours ago like I wanted to but my ins company prefers we use this crappy service

I booked an appointment weeks ago and I logged in early through my insurance provider and the MDLive site. No appointment was shown, despite receiving multiple emails reminding me of the appointment. They ghosted me and now they want a $25 dollar cancellation fee and asked if I wanted to reschedule. Reschedule what? What a scam.

Dr. Mohan Kothandarama Rao is my hero today. I've been dealing with post injury pain for the last four days. An in-person Urgent Care refused to prescribe pain relief. Dr. Kothandarama Rao was timely and considerate, and MDLive is a breeze to navigate, make appointments, find summaries, and more.

I had a great experience with the doctor I had a telepath Vist with in April but at the time the location was in Florida. I tried 2 appointments today, where one doctor would not listen to my symptoms and stopped me and said he has seen rsv patients for the past 2 weeks.i explained to him, I get severe sinus infections that drains to my ear and chest but somehow winds up with pink eye too. He stated for me to buy mucinex. DM and a lubricant eye drop for my conjunctivitis aka pink eye otc. What do I do with the ear pain with a slight red / yellow discharge in my ear. He stated well you didn't tell me that and we are not prescribing antibiotics for the sinus infection, even though I stated the color went from clear to a yellow with pressure painful pressure. So with my syptoms of pink eye, sinus infection, ear pressure and pain, I received eye drops otc lubricant eye drops which I bought 5 different ones until it turned to conjunctivitis, which i explained this to him.The sinus infection was being treated with flonase otc, which I use nasal Cort. I only go to a doctor when I'm breaking in tears for the symptoms have progressed. I called again to take another chance on a new doctor, I uploaded photos of my pink eye. When I got the new one on the phone he said at 5pm you just need to go be seen. Really I Said, I uploaded the photos, can you not see the pink eye. He said go be seen I said OK click! I felt like he saw the notes of me and the other doctor. Wow, they are nothing absolutely awful. We have other choices with telepath medical other than them. I may just continue to medcare as they can see my eye eyes, ears, and sinus infection.. I waisted all day! When I could have went there instead and.even if 2 hour wat! Horrible would not recommend them to anyone! I Will never waste my time and money on people who don't listen or see your illnesses I HAVE INSURANCE AND HOPE MY COMPANY SEES THIS HORRIBLE RATING!!

I would never recommend this service unless it is your last resort. I had never used it before, but I’ve done several other “Teladoc” situations and never had the problems I had with this service. Below is the list of issues you should consider before use:
1) The doctor could NOT get off the phone fast enough. He spent a total of six minutes on the phone with me, and he was RUSHED the entire time.
2) He obviously did not take the time necessary to evaluate the quantity of medicine needed to address the topical wound (burn) as the prescription quantity was about 1/4 of what I needed. Or maybe it was on purpose that he did this because of #4 below.
3) I reached back out to them (MDLive) to go through the standard process of requesting a refill from the doctor that saw me. The automated system would not allow this as an option so I had to call them. The automated system answers the questions for you either only positive, and no forward actions required or only negative (“I’m not better”) and the need to book another consultation and pay the fee.
4) They informed me that I would need another consultation (pay to see a doctor again, for a charge) just to obtain a refill. This is what really frustrated me. If I would have known the small quantity that he prescribed me (my fault for not asking what the quantity was) then I would have asked for the prescription to have optional refills.
5) I called their customer service line and they said there was no way to reach back out to that doctor for a refill. I had to go through (and pay) and other consultation fee.
I will never again be using this service for something like this and will inform everyone I can to be wise and informed before they do so they can obtain the care they need in a timely and professional way. I felt that MDLive cared nothing for me but to make as much money as they could as fast as they can and was even willing to build in dishonest practices. What doctor have you ever seen that you cannot call and request a refill on something prescribed? This was not a narcotic or any controlled substance. They just wanted to charge me more for what they already knew (I would need more topical burn cream).

Prescribed pills that I am allergic to. Called back and spoke with nurse and she told me to schedule an appointment with my physician or go to pharmacy to see what over counter medication I could take. What a waste of time and to think they will be getting paid by my insurance for doing nothing. Don't waste your time or money.

20 seconds and $63 to tell me they can’t treat me.
Could have been more forthcoming about what they can treat during the screening. I still don’t know what they can and cannot handle, so will not use again. Other telehealth providers are more transparent. I went with MDLive because my insurance recommended them. Wish I had read reviews first.

This feels like a scam. They took my $63, asked a few questions, and told me to go to urgent care. I couldn’t get in with my family practice doctor so used MD Live through Cigna insurance. I have a perfectly round rash on my leg that looks like a Lyme rash. MD Live says they treat rashes and insect bites. I uploaded a photo, so the provider could see the rash. The doctor I spoke with asked if I saw a tick. I said no (and it’s uncommon for people to actually see the tick in cases of Lyme). Protocol is to treat to be safe, but she said “sorry I can’t help you, go to urgent care”. Total waste of my time and money. Don’t bother!!

After at least 5 different attempts to set up appointments, there has not been ONE successful appointment. There was a no-show appointment, a confirmed appointment that disappeared in the system. We only connected with one doctor (despite all of those attempts to schedule), and after he spent a minute with the symptoms, he prescribed over-the-counter allergy meds even though the symptoms and the situation were verified later to be a severe virus. One supervisor waived an appointment fee, but the doctor did not show up. Another supervisor at a later date said she had no way of waiving fees. Such a hassle and no successful appointments to date!

Absolutely the worst virtual appointment I’ve ever had. The Doctor never let me speak. Told me to get chicken noodle soup and exercise. I’m in a wedding this weekend and wanted to start antibiotics. Ive been sick for 6 days with painful cough congestion and sore throat. The same sinus infection I get every year in the spring.my primary is out of town so tried MDLive. I could barely understand the female doctor due to accent and speed she talked. She made me feel so idiotic and like a child that she had 5 minutes to deal with. So very rushed. Never once asked me a question. I will never use this service through my insurance. Even with it being free. What a crappy waste of time. And last time I checked you shouldn’t exercise while coughing up green mucus.
