Regarding the cancellation fee for HOMEOWNERS POLICY, I spoke to Michelle from Mercury March 24, 2026. She said that I cancelled my homeowners policy on February 28, 2026. She emailed me "Homeowners Application Form" and referred to the clause FEES AND COMMISSION: ... If the policy is cancelled, at your request, within the first policy term, an additional $50.00 service fee will apply. However, I did not cancel my policy effective February 28, 2026 (within the first policy term). Instead, I communicated with InsuranceOne to release my policy on March 01, 2026 (policy expiration date outside the first policy term). I signed "CANCELLATION REQUEST / POLICY RELEASE" specified March 01, 2026. Per Mercury's instruction, I called and spoke to two reps from InsureOne in the past week. Both said either themself or the manager will call me back to resolve this issue. However I never received any call from InsureOne.

Filed a claim for roof repair from wind and hail storm damage. Filing the claim online was easy, and Mercury was very quick to respond throughout the claims process. The Mercury claims adjuster was polite, professional and called several times to discuss the claims status during the process. I would have given them 5 Stars, except the claim was initially declined due to an inaccurate inspection by a 3rd Party company. Once Mercury inspected themselves, the claim was approved and we received the insurance payment within a few days. All-in-all, it was a very good experience. Communications were prompt, and the whole process moved forward without any lengthy delays.

They cancelled my insurance without so much as an email, text or letter.
I was driving around for WEEKS oblivious that my auto draft hadn't gone through and my car was uninsured! My life and thousands of dollars were completely at risk and I had no idea!!! When I asked Mercury about this, they said that their company was cutting costs and were scaling back where they could!
Once your policy expires, it's no longer their problem!! Go anywhere else!!!
Working with Mercury is DANGEROUS!!!

The only thing I can say negatively is the check for the my claim was sent but according to the letter sent to me stated the check was going to be sent digitally but no instructions on how to get it I had to contact the representative to ask and I was given the wrong information. I had to call again to let the representative know the company he referred me to stated that the info needed to be put into their system. Then I was told it was mailed. But the letter stated I would receive it digitally. I did receive my check by mail on Monday February 22,2026.
