Been using the app for about a year. Its my go to for meal planning over the weekend, lots of options with new stuff all the time. Nutrition info can be a bit off, but they're good at making updates if you spot an error.

Great recipes. Really useful when you feel a bit uninspired and short on time.

Some great recipes on here. Really easy instructions. Slightly frustrating that two people can’t share shopping list updates when signed in to same account on different phones. And the shopping list sometimes does erase once ticked off. But small fixable things in a otherwise interesting and tasty food app

This app is amazing. People often criticise it because there are many ways of getting free recipes but to be honest, I have meal prepped since I bought this app and it is so much easier to search for a tasty and healthy meals where you know exactly what you are eating. Every single recipe has been delicious! Instructions are easy to follow and the fact that they make your grocery list is the best. I have saved money with this app and feel much better since i’ve been eating healthy meals. One small suggestion would be to add more veggies to the dishes, but overall it has been a great experience using this app.

Handy to get ideas for food planning but also when you have bits left over and good for shopping

Beautiful, carefully crafted recipes. You can find anything from easy quick midweek dinners to more involved weekend special dinners. All delicious, clever and fun to make. Mob seem to be continuously working to improve their service. I have seen negative reviews on here about difficulty to cancel membership but just trialled cancelling in my account and it was really easy. I love the video how-tos of recipes! You all seem like a great bunch having fun creating lovely new dishes. Keep up the good work.

It saves me time and mental energy to thing what shall I cook this week!
I’ve been using it for couple of months and has been really enjoying all the nice recipes!

I accidentally let my free trial run over (I had neglected to try it during the trial) and was charged for the year- oops! So I thought I’d better start using it to get my monies worth. Three weeks in and it has been pleasantly convenient and the family love all the new food I’m making instead of the usual boring rotation. I also feel way more organised as I can easily collate my lists for the week and there seems to be much less food wastage. I can tick off each meal in my weekly list so I know where I’m at and what I have left to make that week knowing I have all the ingredients I need in my cupboards. The recipes are well reviewed and I pick the ones people rave about- we have not once been disappointed! My kids are wanting to get in on the fun now to and they choose a recipe to make each week. Only feedback I have for improvement is that though I love that the ingredients are included in the method (super handy so I don’t have to flick back and forth between method and ingredients)- it’s not always accurate - I guess it is up to the original contributor to ensure things are laid out properly and maybe it’s not clear for some of them how to do it properly. I have also noticed that a few recipes that don’t have good reviews are still there as it- those should either be removed or updated- recipes with good reviews only please!
Looking forward to seeing what other new banging dishes the family will make this year!

Misleading free plan impossible to cancel

They rope you in with a free plan, but getting out of it is extremely difficult. My account showed I was on the free plan, yet I continued to be charged.

This is a cooking app, and many of the recipes didn’t appeal to me. For the ones I did like, the comments often said the recipes were inaccurate or didn’t produce the expected results. So I canceled within a week or so I thought as they kept charging me.

After weeks of back-and-forth emails with support that went nowhere and felt like they are just dragging the process out, I still couldn’t get out of subscription or get a refund. Log in process created an apple email account in the background which I was unaware of and even after I figured it out, they didn’t want to cancel from their end and on my end it was showing free plan.

I eventually had to dispute the charges with my bank and cancel my card just to stop these payments.

Overall, the experience was confusing and frustrating and felt like a scam as they know their product isn’t good. I would avoid.

I’ve tried several free and paid cooking apps and this is my favourite so far. Some standard features like creating a menu plan, and producing a shopping list work well, add on easy changes to how many you are cooking for and keeping the recipe on screen while cooking. The pieces I particularly rate are the suggestions of other recipes that use similar ingredients to reduce waste, the good cooking instructions which include the ingredient measurements- you’d be amazed how many apps you have to toggle between pages. Also have a great selection of recipes to help you meet your nutrition goals.

I really love the app, the only thing I would add is, if there is a video of the recept (like the ones on insta) i would really like to have that too in the app! Makes it easy to follow

This app will revolutionise the way we look at recipes. It is so convenient with the inbuilt shopping list that correlates to the recipes you have selected with the option to add your own stuff like loo rolls etc is fabulous. I think they have more to come, there are some teething problems but they are quick to resolve. Would love an option where meat dishes have a “make veggie by…” as the veggie dishes are becoming a bit samey but the meals made are great. Definitely an app of convenience!

I thought the recipes on the app looked nice enough so I subscribed for a year. In reality, I didn't use it so I decided not to renew my subscription. This is when I had problems, because they set it up so you can't actually cancel it on the app or their website. It also didn't show on the App Store. The “continue” button on their website does nothing, so you are forced into long-winded chat exchanges. Despite my contacting them, they took so long to cancel it that they still renewed it, took my money, and I now have to wait for a refund. I'm sure it's illegal for you to be prevented from cancelling a subscription. I sensed that the customer service person on the chat might get paid for retaining the renewal. They knew in plenty of time that I didn't want it, but did it anyway. I would never subscribe to that app again.

Perfect for when I don’t know what to make, and perfect for meal prep. All of the recipes are super healthy and easy to make.

Recipes look nice. I’ve got one of the books and had made a few. Made a couple from the app when I first joined. Everything changed. I believed I had unsubscribed and also then deleted the app after that - about 6 months ago.

Then, in found I’ve been billed last month when I got my credit card statement.

I contacted them to ask and also advised that I had made contact in summer and had deleted the app and not logged in in several months. I’d not had any notification of a charge for renewal, but my account charged. Will post the responses as below… but APPARENTLY they don’t need to notify me they are charging my card and won’t refund as after 14’day cooling off period. Feels like a total scam as I wasn’t even away until it was too late !

Now, I’ll have no way of knowing until I see if they do it again next year… I’ll be contacting my bank in the morning.

It’s just wrong to treat people like this

I did not receive a renewal to know It was going to renew or I would have contacted you earlier to make sure I had cancelled again.

I deleted the app months ago and also have not logged on in months.

Well – that’s pretty poor… not advising you are charging people’s cards.. especially when I was in the belief I was cancelled.

Can you assure me in writing that this account has been DELETED off your system and there will be no further charges please

A great tasty variety of recipes 😋

So far so good, love the inspiration and variety

Paid for a Mob subscription for several years. There isn't enough time to list all the things wrong with this company. My biggest grievance is, however, that, having paid for several years and finally having given up on them I can't access any of the recipes I paid for. This is despite having in writing from Customer Service that I would be able to. I have no access to any saved recipes at all - even the ones that were supposedly free.

Also, while I was still paying for the service the promised emails dried up many months ago and the website was always breaking down. Absolute rubbish.

Hey 5 stars but I honestly haven't had the chance to use the app. I'm here for a recommendation, I have ADHD and i have streaks of days where i just eat out, even if its my last dollar because of dysregulation even though i have ingredients in the house. If you guys had a service where you could help people get started with the app, since there's a lot of options too, and just show them how easy it is to be in this, how its just a few ingredients that you need to add to what you have, I feel like it'd put customers like me who invest because they're trying their best, but also are still stuck, I think that could be worth seeing if it'd be worth it!
