Do not buy from here. Terrible customer service from Craig and Mufaddal and Amara. I purchased a fridge from them. It arrived with a dent. They refused to exchange it. Then within 3 weeks the fridge was leaking on condensation or water and the freezer not getting cold. I raised with them. Craig was made rude comments and Mufaddal was extremely aggressive. He had his fist in a ball. I am considering reporting him to the police. I would give them zero star if I could.

Once upon a time, in the bustling city of London, there lived a woman named Lina Khanom. One fine day, she decided to purchase a magical hob online from a company called Modern Living. Little did anyone know; this simple transaction would soon turn into a tale of deception and mischief.
Lina, despite never having set foot in Modern Living's showroom in the distant land of Bradford, received her hob in March 2023. However, fate had a different plan for her kitchen, and her builder declared that the hob simply wouldn't fit. Desperate and determined, several months later Lina pleaded with Modern Living to take back the hob.
Modern Living, with regret, informed Lina that the sands of time had flowed too far, and the shop could no longer grant her request. Surprisingly, Lina seemed to believe that the shop would dispatch someone to collect the order. She began to send a daily barrage of messages.
At first, the kind folks at Modern Living empathized with Lina's predicament. They offered her store credit for the hob, deducting a small fee for restocking and transportation costs. But Lina, unsatisfied with this generous offer, embarked on a quest for more. She bombarded the company with emails and demands, hoping they would succumb to her wishes.
When Modern Living stood firm, Lina's frustration grew. She hatched a wicked plan to tarnish the company's reputation. Fake reviews, like cunning imps, began to emerge on various platforms, concocting plausible scenarios. Lina Khanom appeared to be the puppeteer behind these shadowy characters.
In the beginning, it was a mere irritation, and some of these fictitious reviews were banished. Yet Lina Khanom of London must have sensed her plot was unravelling and changed her tactics.
Crafting more false stories, she accused the company of delivering a faulty fridge, complete with imaginary dents and leaks. To make matters worse, she accused the company's employees, Craig and Mufaddal, of racism and aggression, despite never having met them in person.
She now demanded not less than 100% in shiny gold coins as well as transport costs, all in exchange for good recommendations.
Modern Living, outraged by these baseless accusations, fought back. They presented evidence, hoping to banish the lies from the realm of Trustpilot. But alas, the wise elders of Trustpilot, in their infinite spinless neutrality, could not discern truth from falsehood. They claimed inability to judge the veracity of the claims and allowed Lina's false tale to persist.
In the murky realm of online reviews, the relentless clash between reality and fabrication continued unabated, leaving truth to suffer defeat. The unfortunate saga of Lina Khanom from London concludes with a disheartening outcome, leaving Lina financially poorer and clearly possessing a heart as dark as the deepest forest shadows and tarnishing the reputation of Modern Living with groundless falsehoods.

Hi Josh, sorry you have had a bad experience. Our understanding of the order doesn't quite follow the timeline you had outlined. You bought a hood on amazon and opened a return request for the reason "Buyer Comment: Doesn't fit into ceiling space". We received back a box of broken polystyrene and a hood with 2 bent corners and after we declined the return have seen an email and review claiming it was already damaged.
Shocking attitude, service and hidden fees.
Ordered some worktops for the kitchen. I was told they would call back to give delivery date after 2 days, but they did not. After 4 days I called them and after lame excuses for not ringing they confirmed a date. Delivery arrived on time but I was asked to help unload even though I had paid £50 for delivery. I doubt they are insured for this.
The following week I rang to ask if I could return one of the worktops. The receptionist didn't know and said they would call back. A week later they rang, with lame exceses again for not ringing sooner, where I complained about having to help unload the van. I was told if I wanted them to unload by themselves it would be £65 delivery! This was not mentioned when I originally paid for the delivery.
They also wanted another £65 to collect or £50 if I helped load the van (plus 25% restocking fee which is expected). I asked if they were insured for this and said I would write this in my review. The man on the phone became abusive and said "What's the point in helping if you're going to write a review?" He hung up. Naturally I can not recommend them.

Yes our sink was cheap buying from this website but it turned up without the fittngs needed to install.
When I contacted them they blamed it on their supplier. 1 week later I am still waiting for the suppliers fittings to arrive even though I have been promised next day delivery twice.
Needless to say I won’t be using them again. Ever.
Gosh and then you relied to this 3.5 years later! Amazing.

Unfortunately, we do not keep spare parts for Franke sinks in stock, so we had to rely on our supplier to provide the necessary details and send out the missing part. I’m really sorry you feel that about us, but we really don’t operate like that.
We only send our product feed with the prices to PriceSpy and Google – no other websites.
If we appear on any other pricing websites then they have scraped the details without us asking to be added
The information displayed by both Google and PriceSpy should be accurate. Google takes the products daily and auto checks the pricing. I think PriceSpy is less frequent – but should still be accurate. Neither would allow us to advertise on their platforms if the landing page displayed a different price. Please do check a few appliances out and see if they match.
The only other query I have dealt with recently which I can think may have caused this was a query about a Neff Microwave. I took a call and looked up a model which was about £300 more that the caller was expecting. After that call I double checked as it seemed strange and I had looked up a compact oven microwave instead of the microwave only as the codes are very similar (C17UR02N0B and C17MR02N0B). I think it’s just a case of human error by myself looking up the wrong product. Please do double check and if possible amend your review to reflect a poor customer service query as opposed to calling us dodgy con artists – we really aren’t.
However – after clicking on your other reviews, I feel that we aren’t going to get you to reconsider.
Very Happy with On-Line Service
the poor reviews below seem to be from people who have had installations from Modern Living. I only made an online purchase and was very happy with the service I received. Ordered a Bath From Modern Living as they advertised the cheapest on-line price for the item I was looking for. I phoned before placing my online order to double check that it really was in stock. A very nice lady confirmed this and told me if I placed the order that day (Thursday) on-line, she would arrange to have it delivered the following Tuesday. As promised it arrived on time and in great condition. My fitters will install it next week, thanks Modern Living for great service.

The guy came out to measure up the kitchen and was very rude absolute disgusting apparently he cant work around or measure a kitchen with an unfinished shell when asked for advise he turned around and said "why are u paying for all that pipe work leave it where it is" in such arrogance, when sharing an idea with him the guy turned around and said "your buying a kitchen from me but ur looking elsewhere for kitchen units " why am i not allowed to look elsewhere?, overall disgusting customer service i do not recommend u use this firm at all with such disregard for customers and their opinions and values, if i had my own choice i wouldnt even give u one star your lucky you even got that!

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The people working at this place in Bradford are shockingly poor in how they conduct their business.
We had our kitchen measured told them exactly what we wanted. They constantly kept leaving us and going in a different room to get prices when we were in their showroom. At some points we had no idea what was going on. Why can they not have all the prices added to their computer systems?
Modern Living need to move with the times. On numerous occasions we told them we wanted 900mm wall units. On the day of the kitchen fitter arriving we noticed the wall units were not what we ordered. We phoned them the following morning and they totally denied that we had told them about the 900mm wall units.
The service we have received has been disgusting. I would warn anyone who does business with them make sure you get everything written down including all the measurements. They write things down on so many different note pads you have no idea what they are doing. We trusted them and they let us down badly.
We currently have only half a kitchen and no kitchen fitter.... the wall units have just arrived but still no fitter. Our house is being renovated and we have been like this for 2 weeks now. They made so many promises and then lied about everything. It got so bad I ended up shouting at them. They will smile and nod as if they are listening to you and then totally do the opposite.
I have never dealt with such a bunch of clowns as this company. We have children and a house that is full of wall units and nobody here to fit them. I was told this would be done today and then find out it's not happening.
If I could give this company zero stars I would. They have no communication skills, and call you liars when it's them who have totally messed up our kitchen. I just can not wait for this nightmare to be over. This company should come with a health warning!
I can tell you now that they will reply to my review and say it was our fault and they have done nothing wrong. We have had an utter nightmare with them. All they had to do was order a kitchen and fit it. We didn't ask for anything else. All we received was wrong units then had to wait another 10 days and then find out the fitter can not make it due to the weather.
Surely there are other fitters? I have travelled to Bradford and back with no issues and all the roads are fine. As I have stated above they will most likely reply that it was our fault. I would advise anyone that they get everything written down with all the measurements.
We also have to pay the kitchen fitter in cash which I find really odd. Never Again!!

No 'After the Sale' Service
I purchased 4 kitchen appliances from this company. One appliance did not fit in my worktop. I asked to return it and purchase a different, more expensive appliance. The appliance had not been removed from its original packing - only the shrink wrap had been opened on one end of the box. I was told "NO" I could not exchange the appliance. I was disappointed with the company's lack of helpfulness and desire to reach a mutually agreeable solution.

Mrs Swanson in understandably disappointed that we wouldn't accept a return of an unsealed hob outside of the returns period.
However the review glosses over and doesn't make mention of the fact she placed two orders with us she was that satisfied with the first, we delivered the items on the days we promised and kept her updated with the progress by email and by phone. She wasn't told "NO", as that suggests we were rude, impolite or unhelpful. We weren't, but she didn't get the answer she wanted. I tried to help as much as I could, searching out a suitable hob for her non-standard size worktop, liaising with my other colleagues as to why her new worktop may be too small for any standard hob and speaking with her several times. The hob was ordered especially for her, it isn't a stocked item and we can’t sell it to someone else or return it to the supplier. So unfortunately the request was turned down.

Delivery and Item was as described
I bought a dishwasher from this company.The price was better than elsewhere,after the order i was contacted by the company to arrange a time for delivery.I had to alter the original date, which was an easy task.Delivery driver telephoned one hour before delivery,arrived at stated time and delivered item to my driveway.
Everything was as smooth as silk,all in all a stress free experience if only all companies were this good
