There are several ways to invest in gold. None are perfect for everyone, but some seem clearly better than others. I wouldn't want to store gold in my house (aside from, perhaps, a bit of jewelry or something), so I find it necessary to let others have custody over my investment. That involves risk, but I can accept that risk as long as it seems in line with other investment risks.
The way that Monetary Metals leases the gold is quite conservative. They only lease to companies that they have personally negotiated with. They have excellent safeguards to ensure the gold is as safe as possible. That allows them to negotiate a substantial even if modest yield on the gold.
I also like their customer service. They answer questions, and they seem to try very hard to make you feel comfortable with what they are doing.

Monetary Metals is, as near as I know, unique in that it offers bullion bank services to consumers. These services include opportunities to lend gold and silver in lease agreements that pay interest in bullion at significant rates.

I store a substantial amount of my silver with them in a well-known vault, pay no storage fees and am able to earn interest paid in silver on leased silver. For me this is fantastic because instead of paying high storage fees, I know my bullion is secure and I earn interest well beyond the average return I could get on dollars in a bank or bond.

Their online client portal allows me to watch my assets grow and their customer reps are always available to answer my questions and help me understand the opportunities they have to offer. I can recommend them highly and without reservation.

I'd rather have simple updates without so much marketing, in an easy to understand and easy to print format. I'd rather have my monthly statements in a format easier to deal with.

Monetary Metals is a must for any precious metals investor. They are the only way I know of to earn interest on your gold and silver, paid in gold and silver.

Personally, I like that this encourages me to hold for the long term. If I'm not earning interest, I'm all too tempted to sell the price spikes... and then end up buying back at a higher price.

First of all, my investment with these folks has done incredibly well over several years. I think this company excels in customer service, transparency, and client education. I had several investments in gold with other companies, but this one is by far the best overall, with the least bother.

Monetary Metals provides several clear and informative videos that explain the process of how they lease gold. Despite this, there were still several questions that I had about the whole process of getting started. This was managed well by providing me with a relationship manager, who was prompt in answering any queries by phone or email, which helped to put me at ease. The online account management system is clear and easy to use.

The MM team are very professional knowledgeable and keen to help address any queries to ensure the investment process is as seamless as possible.

I've been a participant in Monetary Metal's gold lease and gold bond programs since August of 2021. Since that time, my account has earned over 5.5 ounces of gold in lease and bond interest. This amounts to a 7.7% rate of return on my gold holdings that used to sit in my safe. For the record, everything else in my safe was lost in a boating accident back in '22. I've sent Monetary metals physical metal and I have purchased new lots of metal using their metals purchasing programs. I am currently invested in eight of Monetary Metal's leases and two of their bonds. Monetary Metals is a legitimate and productive investment opportunity for your otherwise idle metals, and I will continue to make contributions to my account for the foreseeable future as they are a better alternative to non-productive vault storage. Their customer service is excellent and I have full faith in their abilities to put my metals to productive use. In full disclosure, I will mention that I have never redeemed any ounces during this period since August of 2021. I have never felt the need to.

Monetary Metals' core business model is rock solid and the customer relations department has always been responsive when I have questions or feedback. Free vaulting with a yield on your gold is hard to beat.

My main gripe is with the UI of the app. It's clunky to look at yield for a single month, and doesn't contain nearly as much information as the statements do. Clicking on rounded numbers to get the exact amount isn't a lot to ask for. It doesn't help that statements will sometimes take a month or two to become available.

The frustration this causes would normally knock two stars off, but I had to put one back due to all the market insights MM provides for free. I appreciate the forecasts, articles, podcasts, social media posts, and the data science charts they publish look quite impressive if you're into that. Been with this company almost from inception. The communication has been great. Addison has been a rock for the company. It's grown a lot and still has a personal touch.

I find the monthy reports lack specific detail about my investments. For example the basis in the overall positions. Also it is virtually impossible to get to get documentation for certain of the leases and bonds. Updates on projects are sporadic at best.

This is the best company I have ever done business with in my life. The customer service is elite. The concept of gold yield is an absolute game changer for portfolio diversification. It is also the cure to the disease that is fiat currency. Anyone who cares about protecting their wealth and supporting the only business in the world actively trying to to build an honest monetary system will be thrilled to do business with Monetary Metals

As far as I know, Monetary Metals is the only vendor that will accept your gold, store it in a vault (for free) and pay you interest in gold to lease it to vetted, audited companies that use gold in their manufacturing process. It’s a game changer! They also solved the problem of not having enough long term leases to go around by creating a 4% temporary leasing account while you wait for placement.
My only complaint is they haven’t yet been able to create the same setup for silver. The mechanism is in place, but there are very few leases to go around.
One other fantastic point they don’t tout enough is their fees for purchasing and/or selling out of lease gold is significantly under 1%, with a diminishing percentage depending on the size of your holdings. The only other fees I could find involve taking physical possession of your gold and they are pretty small. Seriously folks, this company is unique!
