When?
Today was amazing because the team at Morty were my heroes and they worked to help me close on a new home. Vivek and team were the most responsive and professional team I've ever worked with in my 3rd home buying experience.
Why?
They are fast!
They are accurate!
They are rock stars!
They were able to connect me with a lender at an amazing rate and worked with me all the way to closing and when there were a few delays and hiccups (as there always are during closing), Vivek kept me updated and he responded to all of my questions, even during the holiday weekend.
What?
The online portal was so easy to work with and I always knew exactly what was next for my loan application. It was amazing seeing the green checkmarks show up as each item was completed and the final banner of: "Your loan is closed: Congratulations, you've successfully closed your loan with Morty!"
During Closing, Keegan stayed on top of the communication and made sure we got our transaction closed.
We are forever thankful for the entire Morty team. You came through in spades, and now we have the keys to a brand new home! We could not have done this without you.

With just about 3 weeks before closing I decided to switch to Morty to take advantage of better rates and closing options that they offered at the time.
The process is super smooth. The online tool is easy to use and visibly takes you through line by line of what needs to be done and when. They also give you a team of contacts and who to reach out to with questions about different steps in the process.
Given the timeline of my situation I couldn't have been placed with a better team:
Diego Valer Fort was my Mortgage Advisor. He was super knowledgable and very easy to get in touch with. Though it was clear my timeline was a little tight, I was comfortable enough after speaking with him to pull the trigger (worst case it was delayed a few days).
After getting all the necessary paperwork uploaded we came to the appraisal. This was the variable in the situation (getting it scheduled and the report back in time). This is when started communicating with Jack Edleman - the Closer on my team - on just about an hourly basis. Jack was awesome! Super responsive and transparent, which goes a long way. We were able to get the appraisal scheduled on a Tuesday. Jack was working hard behind the scenes so that we were able to get the report back over the weekend and closed on the following Tuesday.
If you are looking to buy a house I would look no further than Morty. Even on a super short timeline, they were able to get everything done and still make the process smooth for the customer. My team was top notch! Thank you Jack, Diego, and everyone at Morty that helped get this across the line!

Worst mortgage experience I ever had. My mortgage office was Paige and she was horrible at communication and really hard to get hold of. Problems started when the condo we were buying needed flood insurance, as a mortgage broker I was expecting Morty to guide the condo association through the process and tell them what was needed to satisfy the lender requirement. Instead of all this, she made the process more difficult by miscommunication and me and my agent had to call the lender directly and the condo insurance company to get this resolved.
Towards the end, we got a copy of the final disclosure along with the NY rate lock agreement with lock ending on 11/18 whereas according to the initial NY rate lock our lock was till 11/26. when I inquired Paige told me it was because of some title document and Lender lawyers were in touch with our attorney to resolve this. I emailed all the parties involved to ask what was this document missing and it turned out the title company had already sent the document to the lender's lawyer and Paige was not aware of it. This is another example of how incompetent they are.
On the final day of closing as well, their lawyers delayed the money transfer and almost derailed the closing.
I will never use them again and will never advise any other to use them

Best Rate & hassle-free processing.
I applied for a home loan in morty.com after I am in the contract for purchasing a new home, I am surprised to see that I got the lowest rates compared to other lenders. I was able to lock the rate on the same day.
I worked with Vivek Singh, Jack Edelman & Paige Hawley. They always responded on time.
I was able to get final approval 6 days before my closing.
I would definitely recommend Morty.

I just closed on a new construction home using Morty. Morty was easy to work with, and the whole process was convient and streamlined. Having a broker as a go between the buyer and lender was the only thing I had as a concern to begin with, but this was a non issue and Morty made me feel like they were working for me also. There are always a few issues, especially with new construction, but any questions or issues were responded to promptly by Morty, and they helped make it a low stress process. They're agents were always very courteous and helpful. I was very satisfied with my experience with Morty.

Morty provided some of the best rates of all the lenders I looked into. They were very proactive with finding the lowest fees for a mortgage and even indicated when there were additional savings available. Their website is very transparent about the rates/points available. The officers I worked with generally quick to respond and friendly.

Working with Morty was excellent. We were hesitant at first to use a broker and a company that communicates with consumers mostly via its website (we started with a more traditional, local lender). But we began with a phone appointment that helped us learn the process, understand how things work, and get comfortable. The site itself is very easy to navigate. The process of reminding you about tasks and upcoming dates is very good. In addition to the website, which is very easy to use, our contacts we're accessible by phone and email. And not to bury the lead, but we got an amazing rate which was easy to lock -- and when we needed to extend it because our closing was delayed, we were able to keep our rate without paying an extension fee. Every once in a while they could have gotten back to us a bit sooner -- but at the same time, it was easy to get them on their cell phones. Bottom line: go with these folks. Great rate. Great process. And the two people we worked with, Phillip and Noah, were terrific.

If your ready and have a good grasp on your paperwork, this is easily the cheapest rates around. But in exchange the customer service is lacking like the IM not working, the phone disconnects and emails take about 2 hours for a reply. But if your info is locked in and want a modern internet interface to apply this is by far the cheapest and straight forward process

My wife and I recently closed on our first ever mortgage with morty. We had done a third party site that quickly compares all mortgage rates and morty was significantly better than all others, almost to the point we were skeptical. We proceeded ahead to "lock our rate" and see if there was a catch. There was no catch, they truly were able to provide the best possible rate. After reviewing the official loan estimate, I took it to several other loan providers to see if they would be able to beat based upon their promise to always provide the best rates. The other loan competitors (all three) told me they can't come close to matching the rate. The process itself was not too confusing. It seemed overwhelming at first, but Morty had a great rhythm of communication about when they were waiting on specific documents. I will say that there online interface and status became very intuitive and useful by the end, even for someone on their first loan. Hindsight, the one area where I would have done differently would be to get the names of all the people I would be working with up front. Part of this was based upon the fact the rates were so good, I assumed they were computer ai on the other end and not actual humans. It became clear later on that they were real people and I shouldn't have doubted it. Long story short, it you are skeptical of the rates, don't be! Morty will be saving my wife and I thousands over the life of our mortgage and were simple and enjoyable to work with throughout the process. I really have nothing bad to say about them!

Not only did Morty find us the best rate. Philip Estevez and Jack Edelman were excellent to work with. Both either were available or got back to us in a matter of a few hours whenever we had questions.

Very helpful staff that always gave a timely response. But the loan process was far more complicated than going through a local lender, and came with a lot of last minute hurdles. Was it worth it to get a much lower interest rate? Absolutely. Could they improve the processes and do a better job prepping users for the final stretch? I hope so.

Getting a loan through Morty was painless. The team assigned to me was excellent and answered any of my questions immediately. They even handled it when I wanted to move up my closing date by 10 days - they made it possible. I would recommend them to anyone seeking a mortgage.

My experience with Morty was the best mortgage experience I've had! The customer service from Angela Chen and Noah Cosentino was outstanding and I got an amazing rate with VERY little closing costs, comparatively. They were timely and accurate in answering any and all questions. The process moved fast and the portal was incredibly easy and intuitive from application to final clear to close.
