Simon was the perfect guide and we were so happy that we chose Mountaineerin as the company to help us fulfil our 3 Peaks in 3 Days experience. Simon was so knowledgeable, experienced, kept us safe and feeling positive and also he’s just a great, fun person to be around. He spent so much time with us before the expedition when we were at the planning stage just to make everything perfect for all 8 of us in the group. Then once we had started the experience he was so caring to each of us to make sure everyone was coping and that we were happy with the hiking, travelling, hotels etc. We raised good money for charity and also had a once in a lifetime experience. So if you’re even slightly considering it then book it NOW with Mountaineerin, you won’t be disappointed! Even with horrific weather on one of the peaks we all still had the best most exhilarating experience. Doing the 3 peaks over 3 days really enabled us to savour the experience a bit more and take in the beautiful surroundings, as well as have a nice evening meal and a good sleep. Don’t be fooled however it’s still super tough going but most definitely worth it. I’m just sad it’s over. I’ll be looking what else I can book with them next…

Our wonderful guide Simon made the experience so worth it. He was a real gentleman and helped us off and on the mountain. We had a great time and felt both a simon and our driver Darren looked after us at every turn. I will definitely be booking more experiences with the company.

From the very start, our guide, Rob, was just incredible! Very thorough with all details and what to expect when we first met. He was extremely motivating through the toughest times of the hike, and his knowledge of the mountains was incredible. You could tell that he genuinely wanted us to achieve it in 24 hour time period, and thanks to Rob, we did!

The driver (who's name I can't remember - sorry!) was also amazing and motivating, even though he didn't come on the hikes with us.

Mountainerrin provided us with all of the relevant information beforehand, to ensure we were all prepped as well as we could be.

10/10 - I would recommend this to anyone, I have nothing to fault! Thank you so so much for a wonderful experience.

Just done National 3 peaks with this company, and what an amazing experience it was, don't get me wrong it was hard but completed it with the help for our guide Darren, he kept us on our toes, couldn't have asked for a better guide, Everything was well organised, looking for next adventure/challenge, will use this company agian

Three Peaks in 24 hours Challenge

I have recently completed the 3 peak’s challenge on my second attempt both times with Darren our guide. I would like to thank Simon, Darren our guide and Shaun our driver for a fantastic experience and challenging challenge. Darren is an excellent guide very helpful and thorough, explaining what we were in for, making sure you have everything you need to keep you as safe as possible, (Schumacher) Shaun for driving us safely from mountain to mountain and the little boost ups uiu give, one too team. I 110% recommend these guys if you are looking to take on the challenge you will not regret it. Just be sure to put plenty of training as it is not a walk in the park. Thanks again Darren and Shaun. Recently completed the three peak challenge in under 24 hours and I can honestly say it was brilliant from start to finish. The organisation, the information and the staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and very passionate about what they do. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to challenge themselves and be in the best possible hands.

Thank you so much for this weekend I have had an amazing time. Rob the guide was unbelievable, he made every mountain a great experience with his pace setting and knowledge. I have learnt so much about mountains I never knew before. Cannot fault a thing about it all. Oh and to top it off the weather was just bliss and we made it in under the 24 hours

Shocking company - poor logistics , poor customer service and ripped me off - we did not complete the 3 peaks down to shocking incompetence and poor logistics - resulting in having to find our way home at 2am from an M6 Service station somewhere near Preston - AVOID

I booked and completed the National Three Peaks Challenge through Mountaineerin.

It was fantastic, from booking to completion.

I dealt with Simon initially, who answered all my questions and even accommodated some last minute changes I wanted. The pick up times he stated were all on time and our guide Darren kept me up-to-date with regular texts on his distance from me - which was really helpful.

This was the only company I found that picks you up and takes care of everything (journey from Glasgow airport to Fort William and then the stay- plus dropped off at a suitable train station for the way home. They were the best price I had found too!

Our guide, Darren was awesome! He really pushed and motivated the whole group. He is always positive and explained everything so well. I have done a fair few expeditions etc and he was up there as one of the best. He was strong and his knowledge of the mountains and routes was impeccable.

Our driver was Shaun, he did a fantastic job and kept us moving on the mini bus.

If you want to do the National Three Peaks Challenge I would highly recommend these guys. I will definitely use them again if they offer more challenges I’ve not done.

3 peaks in 3 days was a great experience despite we were unlucky with the weather. I can recommend this company to anybody who are looking for a guided walks and challenges.

Hey Simon, just wanted to say a massive thank you for the past weekend. So well organised and it all ran so smoothly I cannot fault it. Will definitely recommend to my hiking buddies in Ireland. Great to be picked up in Glasgow airport and dropped off in Liverpool airport - no excuses to do the trip from across the Irish sea!

I did the 3 peaks challenge with Graeme Nimmo was our guide.
I want to leave him a fantastic review as he was awesome and without him I wouldn't have got down Scafell Pike or even made it up there. He was so calm and made us all feel safe and in good hands. He was professional throughout and made quick decisions when we were all struggling with lack of sleep.
He really made the experience for us and I'm so pleased he guided us though the walks.

What a amazing experience you can put in to words of describe how the 3 peaks went all I can say in go and do it.
I have a amazing guide called Graeme with out him I never would have done all 3 a coach of 10 didn’t wrk when not all want to go so me and Graeme went and concerned and what a great feeling it was. Such a amazing man everyone needs a Graeme.x

I was recently a part of a 24hr 3 peaks challenge with mountaineerin. I cannot speak highly enough about simon and darren, even after a breakdown, simon and darren did everything possible to get us a new minibus and got us back on the road, managing to complete the challenge, going way above and beyond any expectations, the obvious thing to do, would be to have aborted the challenge! But we were very well looked after and new transport provided very quickly!

If you're looking to do any hikes or trips with anyone, seriously consider mountaineerin, they WILL look after you!

We did a private 3 peaks with 3 friends and one mountain leader and a driver! One of the best experiences of my life, which I will hold fond memories off forever. Darren our ML - what an incredible man. Super experienced and made everyone feel very safe, quickly began to understand how athletic we were and helped us push the pace where we could enjoy moments where we could and guided us in an exemplary fashion through the whole 24-hour experience.

Doing a smaller group experience we very quickly felt like 4 friends not 3 friends and a guide and this just added a new dimension to the experience. Darren I dont know if you will get to read this mate, but thank you!

We planned a bit last minute and Simon answered almost immediately and most efficiently with all details asap. This is why we chose Mountainerinn.

We were lead by Darren and driven by Shaun, both are class A experts in their field. Darren actually went on a back to back 3 peaks, having led a group Sat til Sun, then meeting us in Fort Bill Sun nite and then taking us through it Mon til Tues. He kept time perfectly and kept pacing and pushing us through like clockwork. I note that Darren actually arrived at the last gate at Snowden at EXACTLY 24 hours from our start time. That was absolutely amazing

Shaun is just about the best minibus driver we've ever met. He was downshifting and engine braking along narrow scottish B road (well within the speed and safety limit, but not wasting any time either), and constantly discussing fastest route options and referring to as many traffic monitoring apps as possible.

All in all it was a great experience and was a joy to work with people who were laser focused on helping achieve our 24 hour goal in time and safely.

Highly recommended.

A separate note on safety, we had a little issue about my hiking shoes (which i have climbed a lot of mountains in). They're really specific about boots and ankle support and although it was a bit of a pain (literally.. huge blister and black toenail) I went out to buy new boots to comply with this. However I completely understand their stance as it is a health and safety/ insurance issue which they do not have much control over. Thus I would like to remind everyone BOOTS NECESSARY.

Superb weekend, absolutely priceless.

I'd been wanting to attempt the 24 hour 3 peaks challenge for sometime now and finally achieved it thanks to yourselves.

All went very smoothly from pickup to drop-off.

I was a sole participant but nevertheless felt so much at home with like minded people.

I must admit at almost 61 years old I found it a walk in the park, probably due to walking & jogging about 10 miles a day for most days for about 3 weeks leading up to the challenge.

I had an amazing time on the National Three Peaks 24h Challenge. Communication with Simon leading up to the event was great. Everything was well organised, with clear instructions, kit list, itinerary etc. sent out in advance, and a nice number of people on the trip. I hadn't met any of the other participants beforehand but they were a really lovely and supportive group to march up some hills with!

I had complete trust in our guide, Darren, whose knowledge and experience on the mountains kept the group together and on pace. He looked out for everyone's wellbeing and made it a super fun experience. Our minibus driver, Sean, was also fantastic: professional as well as friendly and supportive on a busy bank holiday weekend. Safety was clearly a priority, both on the mountains and between them.

I just completed the National Three Peaks Challenge with Mountaineerin Ltd and had an amazing time doing it.
The communication from the company, in the planning and preparation stages, was spot on. Everything was clear and I knew what clothing / equipment was required, where I needed to be and at what times I had to be there.
Transport for the challenge was on time, safe and comfortable. The company use experienced professional drivers and ensure that regular breaks are taken.
The accommodation at Fort William was good quality and allowed me to rest well before starting the climb of Ben Nevis.
On the mountains we were guided by Darren, who is highly knowledgeable and keeps things moving in a friendly and supportive way; making it possible to complete the challenge within 24hrs.
In summary; I had a really safe and enjoyable experience, thanks to the team at Mountaineerin. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of taking on this challenge.

My friend and I completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge with Mountaineerin on 28th May 2022. Booking and communication was easy and efficient and we had all the information we needed before our hike. We had such a great day- our guide Mark was such a great guide, kept us all as a group, kept us motivated, ensured we were well paced and prompted us to eat, drink and look after ourselves throughout the day. The group size was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our day! Thank you!
