Good fast and efficient service, only problem I had was it asked you to e sign the agreement which is slightly miss leading as it should say log in and e sign should be at the very end of the documentation which it actually is , but unfortunately reads as if you are needed to sign prior to getting the terms of the loan agreement .!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I enquired about car finance and ended up speaking to an agent at My Car Credit.

The agent advised me that he had carried out a credit check to see if I could get accepted with a lender. I advised the agent at the time that I did not want lenders to be explored because I didn't want multiple hard searches left on my credit file, as I had not found a vehicle yet and was more interested in rates and lending criteria.

Despite this, I noticed that hard searches had been left on my credit file. I complained about this to the agent, who then subsequently agreed to speak to a team leader to get the searches removed, as I had not consented to this. He then called me back and said that a team leader had agreed for them to be removed and that a request for this had been raised with the relevant team.

In further conversations with the agent, he once again confirmed that the request to remove the searches had been raised and even sent a follow-up email to the relevant department whilst I was on the call with him.

My credit report updated yesterday, and multiple hard searches have been left on my report, which has now impacted my score significantly. I sent an email to the CRA's advising that this is incorrect and requested for them to be removed immediately. The CRA's have since come back stating that they have been informed that the information is accurate, so they cannot be removed.

I was informed by the agent that this had been rectified weeks ago, which is clearly not the case. I can only assume I was lied to in an attempt to get the sale pushed through.

This has now decreased my score significantly, impacting my ability to proceed with car finance in the coming months. I have contacted the company FOUR times to get this resolved and am constantly ignored or fobbed off.

I will not be proceeding with the car finance quote offered to me and will be referring my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service for them to investigate.
