Been hacked and scammer
Been hacked and scammed , I rung the emergency hot linesand got told to fill out a bloody form been with them 30 years.say no more 😑
Super customer care
As a Sainsbury's Credit Card customer, I h found the transition virtually seamless
I was able to set up the online banking app prior to the transfer so once things were moved over I had instant access. The only issue I had was whey it came to paying my monthly statement. For some reason my current bank account with Virgin Money wouldn't match up with NatWest. I visited the NatWest branch in Hull and was helped by Emma Clayton at the information desk. She couldn't be more helpful if she tried. She was patient and friendly throughout and helped me resolve my issue. A massive thank you to Emma and she has left me massively considering to move my current bank account to NatWest.

I act as a professional executor in connection with the administration of an estate which the deceased had an account with. I have have the grant of probate issued to me been appointed by the High Court District Probate Registry as executor and have the grant of probate all of which has been supplied to the Nat West Bereavement Services. I have been into the Nat West Bank in Gloucester to personally produce my ID
The Bereavement services keep asking for irrelevant information and forms and will not release the funds.
Their service is appalling and the beneficaries have been waiting over a year fort this account to be closed.
Do not use Nat West Bank
Birmingham Centre Natwest
Went into Birmingham's branch of Natwest as my credit card has been switched to them. I was trying to log into my online banking but was unable due to a missing telephone number (which I put in when I first set the online banking up). I asked the girl how to get around this, explaining that I am a bit thick and had just got out of hospital following a stroke. She just could not be bothered dealing with me, telling me there is nothing they can do. No instructions as to how to solve the problem. In the end I was so disgusted I just told her to take the credit card and shove it. Great bank. So glad I don't have any other accounts with them.(If I did they would be moved straight away. Just so shocked how they can be so rude.
NatWest - the bank that gives a morning argument free of charge
Had an extremely long and poor experience on attempting to negotiate the absurd answering service.
Simple problem - needed an activation code to set up and access an account which was supposedly sent but I did not receive it.
Ist conversation - told I would wait approximately 6 mins. About 20 minutes later I was connected to an agent. He kind of managed my query but said that I needed to speak to the credit card team.
So far - so good - ish , apart from a long wait.
Was put , not onto the Credit Card team but another answering service - chose the applicable response - hey presto - guess where I ended up - same department but now another 20 odd minutes down the road.
Got to speak to Josh, who clearly had his own agenda. - All I really needed was the Credit Card team . Josh is particularly adept at speaking over you - be warned !
So after about a minute or two of speaking over one another - he clearly has no ability to listen - we then got into a conversation whereby he told me clearly that if I couldn't listen to him then the conversation would be terminated. My interruption was clearly because he made a wrong premise and I was not interested at that point in what he wanted to say - All I wanted was to be put through to the Credit Card team. Just what the first agent was trying to do.
Josh ought to remember who is the client here and learn to listen and not think that by barrelling on when clearly he could hear me trying to stop him.
The threat of terminating a call is unprofessional, cowardly and childish.
NatWest made a complete unforgivable mistake years ago to the point where when check books were issued , the bank issued a cheque book with my account details on it to someone that had an expenditure of at least twice that of mine - running my account into the red. This resulted in cheques being bounced ( My cheques were being presented as well as the person with his / her issued cheque book with my account number on it).
After a very very embarrassing few weeks and a dressing down from the bank manager / people / businesses / parents, I realised that something was amiss.
I vowed never to bank with NatWest - So after all these years, I came across Josh.
I have no desire to revoke that vow.
Looks like NatWest need to up its' game.
I never asked for the Sainsbury credit card to me moved away to NatWest.
Mind you - the trustpilot rating shows that it can't be that hard to improve it's score.
After all - twice nothing is still nothing.
Over 8k reviews - 1.4 stars. - Says it all.
I have marginally bought that down after speaking with Josh - who not only runs his mouth but will imply that you are lying - without using that word .
I would give no stars if I could
My credit card account was transferred from Sainsburys who I had been with for around 10 years. Never ever have I had such an experience as trying to open an account. Security? it would be easier to steal the crown jewels than open an account with NatWest. I am very computer savvy and very scammer aware, but this experience was an absolute nightmare which I will never experience again
Really difficult to get through on the…
Really difficult to get through on the phone. Frustrating and not helpful. There are banks with much better service than this. I would advise choosing one.
Appauling
Absolutely no regard for the welfare of their customers especially vulnerable and elderly. All about protecting profits.
No help whatsoever for my mum who was scammed out of thousands. Hope the fat cats can sleep at night on their huge salaries knowing thry are literally robbing people
Resolved
I was going to give this company a really bad review as a atm did not give me my money and for 15 days they kept telling me it'll be tomorrow ect.. I got wrongly informed a few times through phone call and cora I rang to make a complaint and 2 days later I received a email from the manager accepting the fault of wrong information and deeply apologised and well as compensation instantly with the letter then the matter was resolved a date later so thank you for that
Finally shut down my account
Finally shut down my account with NatWest bank.
Been wanting to do this for so long .Even that took two weeks to do.
Nothing works with this bank in branch or on line .
Ask them to do something in branch impossible . Go on line the same. Exhausting.
GOOD STANDARDS...in the end
All banks fail at one time or another but a bank that is "willing to acknowledge when they have failed to deliver the level of service you are entitled to expect" indicates a bank that knows and tries to maintain good standards. That is why I have changed my poor review rating below.
-------------------------------------------
Delay upon delay following false promise after false promise.
Cash Isa still not transferred out despite having been arranged and agreed a long time ago. Natwest persists in keeping it in their low interest instant access account instead of just sending the transfer out.
This is not a bank to be trusted. Other providers complete electronic transfers within one or two days! Natwest lives in the dark ages and deliberately delays Isa transfers out.

They just taken responsiblity for Sainsbury's Bank (tp rating 4.3) with a view to dragging it down to their level, presumably.

I’ve just wasted an hour and twenty minutes talking to some pretty USELESS people..
I applied for an isa transfer, the new bank said it was rejected.. but next day the old bank NW, said it was all going ahead.. and now NW have NO SODDING IDEA.
ILL NEVER EVER DEAL WITH NW AS LONG AS I LIVE.
Danielle was as much use as a chocolate teapot.
Absolute Disgrace – NatWest Helps Fraudsters, Ignores Victims
NatWest is an absolute joke of a bank. A cheque issued to me was FRAUDULENTLY cashed into one of their accounts. The account had nothing to do with me – yet their “security checks” allowed it without question.
When I reported it, NatWest REFUSED to disclose who the account holder is, REFUSED to take responsibility, and basically shrugged their shoulders like it’s not their problem. HMRC even closed their investigation because NatWest wouldn’t cooperate. So I’m left without my money while NatWest protects fraudsters.
This bank clearly doesn’t care about fraud, customers, or justice. They’ll let criminals launder money under their nose, then hide behind “policy” instead of fixing their own mess.
If you value your money or basic honesty, AVOID NATWEST at all costs. They are incompetent, unhelpful, and part of the problem.
Still absolutely disgusted with NatWest…
Still absolutely disgusted with NatWest bigwigs shutting Lowestoft down.staff in there are absolutely top quality friendly helpful poilite. Along with customers being let down by awful top brass.after long consideration.WILL DEFINITELY b MOVING my savings account away from this company.sickening total disregard for anyone below top level

Ridiculous.
Fixed Term Savings Account Maturing and Online Money Transfer Hardship
My Natwest (NW) 2-year fixed term savings account (FTSA) was to mature in the second half of July. NW sent me a letter in early July stating that they would atutomatically reinvest the balance of my maturing FTSA into a new 2-year FTSA with 3.8% AER. As the new interest rate was rather low and I didn't want to reinvest my money for 2 years, I promptly took the trouble to visit a NW branch to stop such reinvestment (NW didn't allow me to do it online or via mobile banking App).
I was only able to get back my money one day after the maturity date. When I tried to transfer money from my NW current account to my other UK bank account, I found that NW had imposed an extremely low payment limit of GBP750/day. I needed to use a NW security card reader and my NW debit card with PIN input to increase my payment limit online to the maximum value of GBP20000/day (though the normal inter-bank online transfer limit is GBP25000). Then I transferred GBP20000 online to my other UK bank account (requiring the card reader and debit card with PIN input again). I was shocked when I received a NW text message that they had held my payment to prevent a potential scam. I had to call their fraud hotline 03456461115. After over 20 minutes of ringing and then answering many harsh questions from the NW operator (treating me like a fruadster), they reluctantly released my money!
I made another online transfer of just GBP2000 the next day (requiring the card reader and debit card with PIN input again). Oh, my goodness, I received another NW text message that they had held my payment! I had to waste over 20 minutes to call the NW fraud hotline and answer their harsh questions again.
Banking with NW is a total nightmare!
Bad Experience- awful systems
Poor systems. No access to real people and appropriate help makes what should be a simple experience into a time wasting, irritating fight….
Complaint rejected on the basis that their IT system ( the source of the problem) says it is my fault for repeatedly putting in the wrong password/pin/id. I reset everything and then apparently repeatedly put the wrong details in…..
Clearly I must be a moron and their systems are fine
Bad Customer Service
Consistently bad communication over a long period, information regarding financial agreements is not presented well, call centre agents do the bare minimum required and don't take the time to explain what is often a lot of confusing information. I had no issues with NatWest until I started using products other than a basic account. Now I wish I'd never started banking with them.
