This is one of the worst lenders I have ever "worked" with. You have to pull teeth to get answers. When you do get "answers" they are worded openly because they aren't good at doing home loans. The management is absolutely worthless and also full of liars and experts at double speak.

It took over 30 days to get an appraisal done. My client, the buyer had a mental break because of the stress the loan officers, yes 2 different loan officers put her under. We didnt get into processing until after 30 days and we never closed because of the lender not being honest, transparent and straight forward. Due to the lenders delay the client ended up being homeless for a week. The loan ultimately fell through and the client now has to rent for another year missing out and possibly never able to buy another home. I wish I could give 0 stars.

All I can say is that it's modestly better than Openbank.us as Neighbors Bank at least has polite people with which to communicate via e-mail. Nevertheless their sign-up procedure, like Openbank.us, is w-a-y too involved compared to any other bank I've dealt with which are many. It seems a lot of these online sites whether banks or other businesses rely soley on a person having a cell phone to do business. I'm thinking they may be a handful of people who managed to cobble together a "bank" as a business, set up a Web site and name and let the computer do the rest.

Melissa Janke was a huge help. Communication was great and she found solutions for all situations. I also appreciated the online access to documents, “to do’s”, etc. made the process easier on a busy person.

As a first time homebuyer I was understandably nervous to go through this process. As an industry professional I know what goes into the process of financing a home purchase. I was not disappointed by my team at Neighbors. They were knowledgeable, responsive, and made my experience easy, even when using a specialized loan product! I cannot recommend Neighbors enough!

Christian Gentil was one of the most inappropriate and unprofessional loan officers i have ever dealt with in my life. I wanted a usda loan and they are one of the providers of one. I can't in good conscience get myself to use them after such an unprofessional experience.

The application process was easy, the turn around time was quick and the response time from a genuine person was even faster! Everyone i worked with was wonderful and made the process of purchasing my first home easier than I ever expected!

My loan agent committed to closing the loan regardless of the obstacles. We got her done!

NB financial institution provided me with an FHA home loan. I had a far from ideal amount of setbacks due to updates being required of the home I purchased but every step of the way Melissa Janke's team was thorough, honest and fair. I never thought homeownership was in my cards but NB made it happen for my family! Because of them I can proudly say I own a home!! Thank you, Melissa , Mariah, Josh and Amy. Apologies to anyone else who worked my file not mentioned!

Worst experience that I ever had. This lender even went into things that were not in my Credit History, a clear and convincing violation of the Fair Credit Act. Their response to me was, well its clearly not in your credit file, but we found it on the Bankruptcy which does not report to the credit bureau and not bound by fairness in credit by the Fair Credit Act. For a lender to do this is very concerning and shows trends that are very concerning towards certain customers. I have issues with this type tactics. The lender waiting until 1 week prior to closing to come up with such schemes. This in my option is borderline violations of the Fair Credit Act

There communication is quick and fast. Also the way Chad and his team communication is very clear and on point. If you have have any questions Tyler and Chad are always at the ready to respond.

Josh Falke and Justina Lamauskaite and his whole team were awesome during the whole loan process. From preapproval, and when I first applied, to closing, they were always on top of it! The online portal for submitting documents is fantastic, and the availability to text them was great. Out of all of the people that it took to make the homebuying process successful, they were the best!

My loan officer, Gabrielle Theoharis, was amazing to work with!!! She is hands down the only reason I chose an FHA loan over a WHEDA loan and didn’t work with any of the local lenders I met. I trust her so much, which is why I went with Neighbor’s bank over all my other options.
