We recently ordered two 40th anniversary cakes from New Cakes on a very tight deadline, and the turnaround was the quickest I’ve ever seen! The quality of the cakes was fantastic. One was a vanilla sponge, light, soft, and absolutely delicious. The other was a chocolate cake shaped like a microwave, and it was a real hit with everyone.

We had a chocolate cake for our 6 years old boy. All my request was delivered exactly as I aspected. Cake was fresh and delicious and looking as we wished.

I have used them a few times for various occasions including a Baby Shower and end of term teacher gifts.
They tasted delicious one set were chocolate and another were vanilla.
The designs were beautiful and so well
created.
The recipients of each set of cupcakes loved them and they made the occasions very special.

Couldn’t have thanked them enough for my boys 2nd birthday cake he’s sponge bob mad and it definitely didn’t disappoint I would really recommend them!

I wanted a cake to be delivered the following day, so made contact with New Cakes & to my amazement they said it would be possible. I ordered & paid for it over the phone and all I had to do was email across the picture. Initally I was impressed.
That soon changed... firstly noticing they had overcharged me by £12. I let them know immediately - they made an excuse but assured me they would refund this charge that afternoon (it took several reminders and 3 days later for them to reimburse me). After two phone calls and couple of texts we agreed on how the photo should be placed. I had no delivery information however it did arrive the following day. Sadly the cake was nothing like the picture advertised on the website and had significant damage. Firstly the cake was wrapped in a plastic bag with yellow ribbon in a box and there was a wrap around the cake itself which was clearly stuck to the wet inscription on the cake. The actual picture had a huge bubble going from the centre to the edge (right across the mouth on picture), there was ripples around the edges, small tears in the corner of picture which appeard to have slipped to one side. Clearly it had not been put on properly at all. The inscription was smudged. The bow was not attached to the cake. On contacting the company, I was amazed with their response, stating that 'due to the order and delivery time, the icing may have still been a little soft at the time of dispatch. Unfortunately, there was nothing further they could do in that moment without delaying the dispatch'. My point being if they could not have meet the deadline they should not have taken the order.
And then the bow they stated should have been secured with tape and should have been easily placed back into position but the pictures proved to them that was not the case. The photo damage was not even acknowledged. I now have to wait for them to take my issues to management to see if I can receive compensation.
The cake was a huge disappointment and looked nothing like that on the website. I could not present the cake for my son's 30th birthday due to the damage and had to buy a supermarket cake photo cake instead which was a fraction of the cost, no bubbles and a beautiful piped border. Taking 45 mins from start to finish!!!

Over the past few years we have ordered from this company many times for a variety of occasions. They have never disappointed. Each cake was different and some more complex than others but they were all made to the highest quality with care and to our exact wishes. This wonderful business puts the customer first and returning customers are rewarded with excellent service. New cakes in our opinion provides a gold service. I ordered a cake for my birthday. It was beautifully decorated and tasted amazing. Lots of options to personalise it and a good variety of flavours to choose from. I chose the lemon cake and it was an absolute hit!!!
It was easy to order, the delivery was on time and very friendly. A real personal experience.
My only complaint is that my guests loved the cake so much, they didn’t leave me with much to take home!!

It’s always a pleasure dealing with New Cakes. I generally want a bespoke cake (at short notice!) and nothing is ever too much bother and the cakes always look and taste fantastic. My family look forward to seeing what the next cake design will be!

Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The cake was much flatter than anticipated and did not resemble the Sorting Hat, which in the reference photo appeared much taller and more detailed. I reached out to New Cakes regarding the issue but have not received a response, despite their previously prompt communication before delivery. This lack of follow-up was disappointing. Given the high cost, I cannot recommend these cakes based on my experience, as I feel they did not represent good value for money.

From first consultation to delivery Nee Cakes made the experience of ordering a cake for our special event exceptional.

I order a Dhol cake for our mendhi night for Vegan partner and Shay was excellent.

He understood what I required and how to make the make the experience seem less and easy for me.

Ordering vegan cakes before they have never really tasted great and thus I wasn’t really expecting much, but honestly this was one of the best cakes vegan cakes I’ve tasted. It was full of flavour and the design and artistry on top just set off the cake and made it perfect.

The cake was so good we actually had some kept a side for us and we actually managed to have it some more after our honeymoon which was two week later and the cake still tasted amazing.

Worth every penny to see the smile on my partners face. Even though I changed the delivery address at the twelfth hour the cake arrived in date/time as promised. I should also mention how delicious the cake was. Have no fear about ordering online, the customer service is brilliant. Thanks to all concerned 😀😀
