DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES
I booked a weeklong beach condo through VRBO last night. They called this morning to tell me that I should not have booked through a 3rd party, that I paid unnecessary fees, and that when I book through VRBO I do not get any linens with my rental- NO BEDSHEETS, no pillowcases, no towels, no washcloths, nothing.
I'm not going to pay their upcharge to rent linens (fees NOT disclosed in their VRBO listing) & I'm not going to buy twin & king sheet sets when I don't have those sizes at home. INSANE policy. This was NOWHERE in their VRBO listing; I combed it like an attorney once they told me that BS- it IS NOT THERE. Now they are holding my money (thousands $$$) hostage for 2 weeks because they are apparently also inept at processing refunds while I'm trying to book elsewhere with a company which has some integrity. If you are an owner, please understand they are deterring people from renting your place. They walked a weeklong booking over bedsheets! If you are a vacationer, DON'T book with this company. ALL costs and exclusions should be provided to the consumer up front to ensure the consumer is able to fairly compare apples to apples. I consider their business practices deceptive and honestly they deserve a lawsuit for their failure to disclose and false advertisement.
