The entire staff from the cleaners to the surgeons and everyone in-between were helpful, kind and very professional. Most knew enough English to understand and hold a conversation. The rooms had ample space, were kitted with its own full bathroom and pull-out bed and facilities were always kept clean. During my whole stay there, I felt supported, well looked after and safe.

I always felt that the Novemed team was available for me both physically while at the hospital, and continuously online both before and after my surgery. They provided excellent support, encouragement and advice on healing, nutrition and guided me well in the days after surgery. Dietician Sema was kind and caring and always stays in touch to update my eating pkans and answer any questions. I highly reccomend Novemed 😊

Novemed have been absolutely brilliant at helping me before, during and after weight loss surgery. they answer any question as quickly as they can and listen to everything you have to say. a special thank you to my dietitians sumeyra and sema for keeping me up to date with my meal plans and being extremely punctual with timings etc. funda, my travel coordinator, was great and even when the taxi was running just five minutes late, she let me know so that i wasn’t waiting. Damla was absolutely amazing from the start, she helped me understand exactly how the trip would go and told me everything i needed to know. i couldn’t of asked for a better team of people to help me through this journey. They all made me feel so safe. Even though i was extremely nervous, they all calmed my mind so much. Thank you novemed ! 🙏🏼

When I was considering going to have bariatric surgery I spoke to a lot of companies Novemed being one of them. Novemed was the only one that never pushed me to make a decision on the spot and gave me time to think it over. From then on they have answered every question I have had and always been there when I needed them. Every one from the Office team to my doctor was very good. I would definitely recommend Novemed to anyone looking to get Bariatric surgery.

I'm from New Zealand, and at the end of September 2024, I traveled to Turkey to have bariatric surgery. I contracted Arri's Assited Journeys to look after all the necessary arrangements, from flights & accommodation to arranging the surgery.

Novemed was the medical agency that was used in Turkey. My experience with them was top-notch! From the moment I was booked in to the hospital, an English speaking Novemed dietician was assigned to me to help me from the start if the experience all the way through to the end of the surgery.

There was specific testing that needed to be done, and Sena (my Novemed dietician), stayed with me through the whole process. I felt cared for and valued as a client & patient. Everything was clearly explained so that I could understand. She was my eyes, ears & mouth when I couldn't communicate.

Post surgery, I have been kept in the loop of all I need to do for my new eating plan & what new habits I will be making with my new stomach.

I am so grateful and thankful for the care I received from both Arri's Assited Journeys & Novemed. You also will not be disappointed!

Great staff, friendly and everything planned to perfection

I recently had my gastric sleeve surgery with Novemed, and although my journey started off a bit rocky due to a lack of communication regarding the hotel accommodation, once I arrived at the hospital, everything changed for the better.

I was warmly greeted by the wonderful dietician, Sema, who truly made a huge difference in my experience. She translated everything for me and was by my side through every step of the process. Sema’s kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism were comforting and reassuring. I can’t thank her enough for making the experience seamless and stress-free.

Dr. Derici, the surgeon, was amazing. He took the time to meet me before the surgery, making sure I felt comfortable, and he checked on me multiple times after the procedure. His caring and personable approach really put me at ease.

The nursing staff was equally incredible. After waking up from the surgery, the nurses were there every 20 to 30 minutes to check on me. They were attentive, helpful, and always had a friendly attitude. Thanks to them, I didn’t feel nervous at all before or after the surgery.

Overall, my experience with Novemed was fantastic. I’m so grateful for the care provided by Sema, Dr. Derici, and the amazing team of nurses. They made the whole process smooth, and I would highly recommend Novemed to anyone considering this procedure!

I thought the whole experience was well managed and very helpful from start to finish. From me arriving into the airport, transport and aftercare of the operation. Everybody was more than helpful and all questions I asked were answered. The diet plans are a great structure to helping make better choices in food and lifestyle also. I am 3 weeks going into my 4th week post op and have healed nicely and lost 1stone 2pounds so far. The pre diet op I also lost 1stone.

I had gastric sleeve surgery, transfers from airport to hotel were perfect, I was treated 1 to 1 the whole journey. Medical staff were helpful and plenty of translators to help. Highly recommend

I travelled to Istanbul alone, for Gastric Sleeve surgery. The communication and thorough information provided by all staff at Novemed has been impeccable, I have been supported through every step and process. Right from, transportation, accommodation, advice and all round support, whilst I recovered. The nurses who have cared for me on floor 11 at BHT clinic have also been marvellous, so attentive and sweet.

I look forward to a healthier, happier future and all thanks to Novemed and Dr. Necdet Derici, this is now possible.

Update: Since coming home, the communication through WhatsApp has been really poor. I have asked 3 times if I can restart prescribed medication that I had to stop prior to surgery, and sadly my message has been ignored. The day I was discharged from the hospital to the hotel, I was struggling to stomach anything other than water as everything else made me feel really nauseated. I informed the staff through WhatsApp, there has been no follow up on how I am feeling and if I’m able to stomach more things, ensuring I am having the nutrition I need. I did receive an update 1 week after surgery from Sumeyra the dietician, she sent me the week 2 phase on what I could eat. I sent two messages asking if I can incorporate something to boost my protein and another asking if I can have a certain high protein drink, the messages have again been read and ignored. I have decided to knock 2 stars off the original review as aftercare is incredibly important, and giving I’m only 1 week 4 days post op, I feel I’ve been abandoned now my money has been handed over.

Very caring and professional health care from nurses dieticians and the doctor.
The o ly thing I didn't like was the fast discharge into your hotel especially being alone and still recovering from the operation.
But exceptions made novamed are very good and I would recommend them .

I have recently had surgery with Novemed for a gastric sleeve. I did come 2 years prior to this however one of my tests came back abnormal and they cancelled the procedure. I wasn’t happy about this as they took half my money also. Ideally this is something people should be made aware of prior to committing agreeing to come out for surgery. However also reflecting on the situation at least they had my safety as a priority.

However this time around was a lot more positive. I had my procedure at the BHT hospital. The place is amazing! So clean & immaculate. You would never see hospitals like this back in the UK. My dietitian was my interpreter too. She was with me all the way. I was allocated on the 8th floor. The nursing staff were amazing and generally spoke basic English. You have your own room with widescreen TV and en suite bathroom. It doesn’t feel like you’re in a hospital, It feels like you’re in a 5 star hotel.
My surgeon was amazing. I’m sorry I can’t remember his name. But makes miracles happen. I loved my anaesthetic doctor in theatre. 😍
The support from Novemed still hasn’t stopped. I still receive weekly support my dietitian and are happy to answer any queries.

Travelled on my own to get Sleeve done. I was so nervous. But once I got there I could tell all was going to be ok. I was greeted and so welcomed. Nothing was too much to ask. Everything was explained step by step and all went very quickly to be honest not much waiting!
The operation went very well and afterwards as expected a little sore but no where near to what I was expecting, much more tired than normal. They checked on me very regularly and made sure I was doing all the things they asked. I’m so glad I stuck it! I can’t wait to see the new me in a year! Onwards and upwards 🤗. Thank you so much. I would use again if need be and recommend anyone else if considering.

Absolute rubbish response from novemed. My heart was absolutely fine and fit for surgery. I had numerous test back home all saying fir for surgery and 4 weeks ago I had the surgery at another hospital absolutely 0 problems. I know my body and my heart was fine so I will go back to my original opinion con men and scammers they took advantage of me being alone and vulnerable in a different country but if I could find extra money there would of been no problem I rate this business and its very outdated medical equipment a minus 100

I travelled to Istanbul for a gastric bypass revision on 28th July 2024 i would highly recommend NOVEMED to anyone thinking of going on the Bariatric journey! From the transport to the hotel to the hospital to the staff and doctors! Just truly amazing! Just wow! All my nerves were just lifted when I met all the team on my journey! The expertise of the staff and team just so professional! It puts doctors and hospital in Ireland to shame! Thank you once again NOVEMED and will definitely be using you again in the future 😊

This is my second time using Novemed.
Two years ago I had my gastric sleeve using them and just recently I had 360 lipo and tummy tuck.
