I waited a month to write a review. Within a month I have lost 11kg/24 pounds. My experience with Novemed Bariatric Centre is a positive one. I’m happy I started my weight loss journey with Novemed, everything went smoothly. I get a week diet plan. Words can’t express how professional Novemed is, all I can say is thank you.

Hi November , I want to leave again a bad review because it true I’m very still disappointed, of my Gastric bypass revision, I pay a lot of money for nothing 8 months AFTER SURGERY and nothing happens I have the same kg from my first day of my surgery, nobody checked on my how it’s my situation, nobody sent me anymore messages to asking me how I’m feeling, nothing not diets recipes. This clinic ruin my life, my dreams and my future. They lied me about this surgery I was just an experiment for them . I will not recommend Novemed .. not professional.

Team looked after me really well during my time in the hospital and the transport from airport to hotel was also flawless

I took infos from many clinics in Istanbul, but Oliver from Novemed was the best operator ever. Always kind and patient, always available for every question, from the silliest to the most important. I would
highly recommend the entire crew.
They explained everything before booking, and continued to follow me until my flight back home.
Everybody had a high level of expertise, but was also encouraging with friendliness and kindess, with a good atmosphere.
Some of the nurses weren't as good as others, but some of them were absolutely warm and solar, always explaining what they were going to do step by step.
Couldn't choose better than these great team!

One of the worst experiences I have faced in my life was due to the gynecologist, Dr. Ana. She sent me a report diagnosing me with 'Cancer' and made my life terrible for a couple of weeks until I got biopsies and tests with different doctors, and everyone confirmed that I don't have such a disease. She is terrible. I will never go to this clinic anymore.

I'm grateful for the excellent care and support provided by Novemed during my gastric sleeve surgery journey in Istanbul. Travelling from New Zealand, I embarked on this transformative experience, and Novemed ensured every step was smooth and reassuring.

Right from the outset, the Novemed team demonstrated professionalism and dedication. Even before my arrival in Turkey, they actively engaged, offering valuable guidance on weight loss and nutritional strategies to ensure I was adequately prepared for the surgery. Their accountability messages and personalised diet plans were instrumental in helping me achieve a safer BMI for the procedure.

Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly and efficiently. The pre and post-surgery accommodations at the Ramada were comfortable, and the transportation arrangements were seamless, thanks to Novemed's meticulous planning. At the hospital, I was accompanied by a compassionate English interpreter who guided me through the pre-op procedures, easing any apprehensions I had.

The medical staff at Novemed were professional and competent, with a touch of humour that lightened the atmosphere. Despite the surgeon's busy schedule, I was impressed by his energy, positivity, and friendly demeanor during our interactions. Moreover, the pre-op tests conducted by the team uncovered a previously undetected kidney stone, highlighting their thoroughness and attention to detail.

The surgery proceeded smoothly, and the post-operative care was exemplary. The nursing staff was attentive, ensuring I felt supported and comfortable throughout my recovery. Clear instructions on medication and dietary restrictions were provided, contributing to a smooth transition post-discharge.

What sets Novemed apart is their ongoing commitment to patient care. Even five weeks post-surgery, I continue to receive weekly messages outlining the different stages of the diet plan, reaffirming their dedication to my long-term well-being.

Excellent teams work. Great service. I was in the hospital for 3 day but it was best experience i ever had in an hospital i means i have been hospitalise many time but novomed was far more better than any other healthcare service i have i had so far. they walked through the step and cared for so deeply from the start to end and stays in contact with me for as far i can remember. Thank you for changing my life i am forever grateful 🙏.

The team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and nothing was ever too much trouble. They explained everything clearly and made sure I was ok and happy. Sena was incredible and could not have done it without her. She was with me every step of the way on operation day and the days after. An absolute blessing to the team.
The surgeon was also incredible and came to check on me numerous times after the operation and even offered to have a photo with him.
All the staff were fantastic and always prompt with medication and anything you needed. There was a slightly language barrier but easy to get around.
Off to the hotel now but feeling great and can’t wait to continue this journey. Would definitely recommend to others.

Hi guys, i operated today and i wanted to tell my experience so far with novamed.

First of all communication has been amazing and i have never felt afraid of nervous to have the gastric sleeve. Secondly they explain every step and makes you feel seen and heard.

I was curious of how i would react to have my bloodwork taken since i am afraid of needles. Luckily there was a great lady who comforted me every step of the way.

The surgery itself went smoothly, BUT the gas pain after was terrible painful. It only lasted for about 1 hour as i got several rounds of morphine. Now i feel great and aren’t in any pain at all. When i stand up for a little walk i do feel the mini urge to vomit. But it disappears very quickly. I was sweating and shaking due to the room temperature was 28 degrees and i am used to having 19 degrees in my room so it was quite toasty. And the shaking was from the general anestesia.

They made sure that i was as comfortable as I could get. I can sleep just like normal but recommend to sleep a litte tilted up to prevent and harsh movment if you feel like vomiting. They do show you your stomach that was cut out if you want to see. I was of course curious and had to see. It was presented in a little see through bag and I didn’t feel disgusted at all.

I am currently at the hotel the day before my flight back home and i only feel the slightest pain when i a turning around in bed but standing, waking and showering is unproblematic and much easier as the days go by. I stay focused on finishing the two big waterbottles i took with me from the hospital to the hotel and I finished 1 and a half bootle during my 2 day stay.

I am flying home today and had an overalll gret experience with novemed and its staff. To anyone who i unsure which clinic to choose novemed is the one👍🏽

I couldn’t fault the experience I’ve had ⭐️

All of the staff that have encountered from the very first message to present have just been great. Everyone has been so informative and supporting with no question left unanswered

The support team on the WhatsApp group are great post op I get weekly diet programmes and they are always happy to answer any other questions I have in between that time and answer super quickly!

Everything went so smoothly with booking flights and then the rest was all taken care of, all my transport and hotel stays were arranged by Novemed including a companion

Hotel staff were all very welcoming and attentive

All transfer drivers very polite, always on time and always helped with luggage etc

On arriving at the hotel I was greeted by the lovely dietitian who stayed with me all day translating and explaining every step down to the fine detail. Everyone I then met for tests was very friendly and lighthearted. She put my mind at ease and we had general chit chats whilst waiting for tests etc

After surgery Dr Necdet Derici came to see me on multiple occasions to make sure I was ok and explained the next steps. He even came in with his team to say goodbye and wish me luck just before my transfer came to take me back to the hotel

Overall I had a great experience and felt very well looked after so much so that I wouldn’t feel anxious about travelling alone if I was to go to them for anything in the future. I would 100% recommend going to Novemed for your surgery and I would go back if there was ever the need

I’m only a few weeks post op so I haven’t seen a drastic transformation but I have certainly already started to see a difference and have no doubts that I will continue to do so

Great hospital, staff are really helpful, there is a language barrier but they do what they can to help by translating it on the phone, there is a translator with you through out all check ups, after surgery and coordinating your travel. Can't fault my stay.

I’ve recently just had a gastric sleeve, and all I can say is that the hospital staff and surgeon were all amazing. They were on top of pain relief and making sure I was okay. I’m really glad I chose Novemed ☺️

From the initial consultation to now the support in getting my gastric sleeve was second to non this hospital staff surgeons are well informative in their work I travelled alone so was a little scared but I had nothing to worry about they look after you so well and answer any questions or worries you have I know its a bit of a minefield out there into who to choose but I would defintely recommend Novomed and will continue to do so.

I had a gastric bypass with Novemed last week and found them to extremely conscientious and caring.
Dr Derici was experienced and was attentive both before and after surgery. Sena was wonderful she really went out of her way to make herself available for anything I needed

I am 3 weeks post op from my VSG which was performed by Dr Nercdet. I have been very impressed with Novemed and their services. I initially travelled alone to have my surgery and was later joined by my husband. The care I received was very good and professional. I had some concerns regarding pain relief prior to the operation, the team reassured me that I would receive good pain relief and they were right. I received very good pain relief and I was up and walking the next day. I would use Novemed again if I were considering any more surgery in the future.

Novemed are amazing! I had my gastric sleeve 15/12/2023 and I am now 4 weeks post op. I was recommended Novemed by a friend who had previously had a sleeve with Novemed and had a positive experience. I was very nervous on the day of my procedure but Melisa was really helpful and was with me the whole time for any questions and during my pre op tests, I felt really comfortable. My surgery went really well and was performed by Dr Necdet Derici who was amazing! He made me feel at ease before the operation and made an effort to visit me every day afterwards to see how I was recovering. The hospital staff were very kind, understanding and always there to help with anything I needed. On landing back in the UK the aftercare has also been amazing. Constant communication from the dietician offering guidance and support with diet. Everything from the transportation, hospital, hotel, dieticians, aftercare the whole experience was 10/10.

Gastric sleeve surgery is a huge personal decision that should always be researched thoroughly beforehand but I can’t express how much healthier I feel already! I also had my bloods done again last week back in the UK and I have had improvements already on things that were high!

I am 10kg down so far and enjoying the journey! Thank you Novemed for the positive experience and for improving my quality of life!

I can honestly say that I have absolutely no concerns recommending Novemed after my experience with Gastric Bypass Revision Surgery even though on the day I couldn’t have it! Damla was brilliant throughout the whole process and didn’t put any pressure on me to book (unlike many other companies I had contacted). Novemed were not the cheapest but worth every penny and I am so thankful after my complication that I didn’t try and save a few quid and go with a less qualified surgeon. The transport was always on time and high quality vehicles. The hotel was lovely and good location to pop to the local shopping centre. The hospital was clean and the pre-ops were thorough and they talk you through the results and give you English version to bring back to the UK.
My Surgeon was Dr. Necdet Derici who introduced himself before the surgery and made me feel at ease instantly. I was having revision surgery and needed my gastric band removed and a bypass performed. When Dr Derici was doing the operation, he identified a bad infection around my stomach and had to make the decision not to continue with the bypass. He did manage to remove my band which had been causing me a lot of issues. He come and explained and showed me a video of the infection and said he had to put my life first and operating with my stomach how it was is too dangerous. He apologized even though I told him I would have wanted him not to continue if it put my life at risk. They put me straight on antibiotics and continued to monitor me in hospital. I was thankful that I was alive but gutted I had spent £4500 and not had the bypass. I spoke with them and they offered to give me back £2000. I was amazed as I had still had an operation , the pre ops, hotel etc but it does show me how professional they are and I will not hesitate to go back in 6 months time once my stomach has healed to finish my surgery. Thank you everyone who took care of me, you were all amazing.
