GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY.
I’m almost 4 months down the line after my surgery and I would 100% recommend novomed. From the first message between myself and the consultants / meeting and talking to the surgeon to the aftercare they’ve given me is fantastic.
Even now if I need support or to ask a question, they are there for me,which has unquestionably helped me out no end.

I recently underwent gastric sleeve surgery with Novemed. The team is very well organised from initial consultation through to discharge. I did experience a slightly complication, however Dr Necdet Derici was quick to identify the problem and acted quickly. The team continue to look after you post op and are always available to answer any questions. I would also like to thank Sheila and Sumeyra (dietitians) their advice and guidance on long term diet was great. I have learnt a lot from these ladies. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Novomed.

I have waited fourteen weeks to post a review as I didn't want to write a review without feedback on their post op care.
As a nurse I was cautious and did my research before I went. Both myself and my husband has gastric sleeves in September 2023.
We gave both lost over three stone in twelve weeks and still loosing.
Prior to booking we had lots of information and contract with our coordinator Oliver who was great. On arrival to turkey and day of surgery we met with Novemed coordinator and dietician Sumeyra. We paid cash in GBP sterling.
Sumeyra was amazing, she translated for us with the nursing staff, checked on us daily and provided information on our diets post op. She has continued to post weekly diet plans and advice which are now monthly. If we had questions in between she would reply promptly.
The nursing staff were kind and professional and able to understand us with body language and occasional use of Google translate.
The pre op checks were through and included an ecg, chest xray, ct scan, bloods and review with a general doctor pre op. My only concern was that we never met Dr Necdet until our endoscopy who literally said hello welcome to Istanbul. The next time I woke was from surgery. We had a short visit from him the next day to say all was well and we could go home the next day. I would have felt more assured if I had chance to ask him questions prior to the surgery and it was for this reason I nearly cancelled pre op due to nerves.
The UK has different rules following surgery abroad. Some gps will support bloods and wound care on nhs others will not, please check with your doctor before you fly. Novemed provided all discharge papers in English which was so helpful to show our doctors when we returned to England.
This is not a procedure to be taken lightly and I'd urge anyone who is thinking of it to speak with their doctor and family and friends before flying abroad for post op.
Novemed were professional and efficient and if your serious about surgery I would recommend.
I have only left 4 stars as I would have preferred to meet the surgeon pre op.
If you are thinking of bariatric surgery, it will change your life.
Me and my husband are more active, look good and feel good. We are now running, in the gym, making better food choices and have more energy.

1 year since my gastric sleeve & I’m 8 stone down! Couldn’t be happier & the best thing I ever did.
Novemed have gone above & beyond to make sure I’m looked after & on plan, I can’t thank/recommend them enough. A special thanks to Dietitian Sumeyra for staying in touch with me throughout the year!

After research, I chose Novemed based on the experience of their surgeons and other good reviews.

I was not wrong to do so. Fabulous communication from the start. Thorough explanations of everything, and answers on WhatsApp quicker than my kids!

Surgery was great, and care afterwards as needed - including appropriate pain relief. I’m not negative is that my daughter found the provided food for companion to be poor.

I appreciate everyone is different, but my advice would be to have someone with you if you can.

Wonderful experience dealing with the Novemed group from start to finish. Everything was clearly explained. Questions always answered promptly. Pre Operation and Post Operation care was top notch. Highly recommended for everyone who want a lifestyle change and look their best!

The process has been brilliant. From being picked up from the airport, the hotel you stay in and the hospital bedroom is all 5 star. A very friendly translator welcomes you at the door of the hospital. From there things move very quickly from signing paper work to having pre ops tests such as chest xrays, ecg test etc.

The translator takes you to every appointment and makes the experience a lot more calming she informs you of everything along the way and keeps checking up on you throughout the day to see if you need anything.

The staff at the hospital are also brilliant, they come around every 2 hours and topping you up with any pain relief needed. The food for the companion supplied by the hospital is also a good amount.

I would highly recommend Novemed.

I am very glad I did my gastric sleeve surgery with Novemed. The team is very welcoming, polite, kind and professional. If I had any questions they answered all of them and were overall very patient while I was deciding on the surgery.
I am now almost 1 month post-op and have lost 16kg so far. I would definitely recommend Novemed to anybody thinking about having bariatric surgery done.

I am now post op gastric sleeve with Novemed and I could not recommend them more! From start to finish the journey has been seamless, with absolutely no stress on myself. The staff, nurses, doctors and surgeons were so friendly and made me feel totally at ease, nothing is too much trouble for them and the hospital is the cleanest I’ve ever seen.

I am really impressed with Novemed. Everything from booking to transfers to the op itself has been efficient and professional. I went on my own and they helped me every step of the way. On to a new, healthier life now!
