I had the gatric sleeve in Decemebr 2023. I found the team to be extremley professional, understanding and informative. They made me feel comfortable and well cared for both before and post the procedure. I travelled alone for the procedure and not once did I feel alone or scared. When I needed an additonal day in hospital to recover, this was arranged for me with no addtional cost. The aftercare has also been second to none, with monthly check in and advice whenever I have needed it. I would highly recommend the Novemed team and consultants and have no regrets about my decission. Thank you Novemed for giving me my life back. Forever greatful. X

I recently got my surgery done and I’m post op about 4 weeks and the experience I’ve had with Novemed was amazing! A big shoutout a e thanks to my surgeon, dietician, translation team and the fantastic nurses for all their help and support. The best Decision I have ever made neither novemed were amazing in their service. I didn't think this time last year that I would be almost half. The size I was when I first started on my journey. My starting weight was 24stone 2lbs I'm now 12 stone 5lbs I have moved my gole weight to 12 stone as I met target weight if u want any advice do this for you its more than worth it in the long run.

I am a year Post op this week and can honestly say having the surgery was the best decision of my life. I had a gastric sleeve on 27.7.22 with Dr Necdet Derici. He and his whole team were incredible. I felt so safe and looked after from the minute of enquiring to now, post op and a year down the line. Weight loss had been more than I expected, I have lost 6 stone now and I’m happy where I’m at. The health benefits and overall quality of life I have now is just wonderful. Life is good. I am forever grateful and just wish I’d taken this sooner. The best decision of my life!!!
I had the gastric sleeve surgery 6 months ago and lost over 40kg, I can’t express my gratitude for Dr. Ucuncu, an amazing doctor. My liver size was bigger than normal and the doctor was very patient and took very good care of me. The hospital was very clean and the staff was very friendly, I really enjoyed the stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone to choose this clinic for their surgery because you won’t regret!!

If I had to rate my experience out of 10, I’d give it 100! Everyone I encountered and are still in contact with have been wonderful! I appreciate the work all involved have done to make me and my partner feel safe, comfortable and prepared. The service I’ve received has phenomenal! Everyone has been professional and incredibly respectful. As a person of colour I went into this wary but I’ve been proven that I had nothing to worry about. I’m deeply grateful to EVERYONE involved. You’ve helped me change my life.

I am 3 weeks post op and loving life watching the weight fall off! The staff are very friendly and supportive! Best decision I made! Was in pain after due to not being able to have strong pain killers did it on only paracetamol

Amazing! I could not have wished for better service. Everyone was so friendly and although language can be difficult they are tried their best and did anything they could to help. The procedure was brilliant, after care was amazing. I’m positive I would not have got treatment as good as that in the uk. I was quite nervous beforehand but everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I am 2 months post op and have lost 3st 9lbs. Will never be able to express how grateful I am.

I had gastric sleeve in late January 2023 with Dr. Muhammed Zübeyr Üçüncü. I did a lot of research on surgeons before selecting Novemed because Angela, their coordinator was so helpful and responsive. At the hospital, I was professionally greeted and the translators were great.

Although I’m dealing with some food issues that could be expected, I’m happy with the results from the surgery so far. I’m 5 months post-op now and I’ve had no issues or major concerns. The biggest pros in my experience with Novemed was the smoothness of the process, organization, professional staff, follow-up and success of the surgery. The dietician (Sumeyra) kept in touch before and after surgery and was proactive, responsive and knowledgeable. That level of care exceeds what you’d get here in the U.S. Dr. Muhammed is a calm person and out me at ease. The nursing staff was attentive and friendly. I felt in good hands. My only cons would be the facilities are small and not as clean as expected for Turkey, and a glitch in an unexpected cost of a procedure they didn’t tell me I needed before coming in (but they listened to my objections and let it go). Overall, I’d do another procedure with them and would recommend them to friends and family.

Had my surgery on 14/04/2023. Excellent service from start to finish. Transfer from airport to hotel, hotel to hospital, hospital to hotel and lastly hotel to airport was slick and perfect. Big shoutout to Angela my coordinator and all my dietitians. Highly recommend Novemed

From start to finish I highly recommend Novemed, staff there so professional. I had my gastric sleeve done on the 2nd June, I had Queen Mel who looked after me during my stay as I travelled alone. My surgeon Dr Netdec Derici was brilliant and reassured going to be ok he came after surgery to see how I'm feeling and a photo. I personally want to thank all staff during my stay. Life changing. Since the arrival in Turkey I’m feeling like I’m in the right place for this surgery! Everyone from Novemed was so kind to me! All the services was amazing, my surgeon was very kind to me, also my translator Alp was nice and friendly and the nurses are very patient with me! I’m so glad I was there and everything was fine!

As a solo traveller to Istanbul for my gastric sleeve surgery I was nervous but excited. The communication before my arrival date with the Novamed care team via WhatsApp had been expectional. I arrived at the airport to be taken to a stylish black VIP style van to my hotel which was about 1 hour drive away. The hotel room was well equipped and the front desk kept me informed of when my taxi's arrived. On the day of the surgery I was taken by taxi to the hospital and greeted by my lovely translator. He was warm, friendly and informative. I immediately signed forms and spent about 2 hours having various tests. After I was given the all clear to have the gastric sleeve I had to be put to sleep to have an endoscopy. Once I woke from this I went straight into the operating room for the gastric sleeve.

I'm not going to lie, the first hour after surgery was pretty awful. My translator had warned me that it would be a difficult day and it was. The gas pain immediately after surgery was intense but after an hour the pain medication had kicked in and it helped. I'd recommend asking if you can have more substantial pain relief upon waking as it was really horrible.

I was in hospital for 2 nights and the nurses were wonderful. Although we had a language barrier I used Google translate on my phone and we could talk into the app and I had any questions answered immediately.

The interaction with my surgeon was brief but he was very friendly and reassuring. I felt very well cared for. My dietician came to explain my diet in detail and I bought some shakes and vitamins to take home. I had originally been told they were £90 but on the day I had to pay £150 although I got an extra month's worth of vitamins. On reflection it would have been better to have bought what I needed before but it was useful to have a supply leaving hospital regardless. I was given a bag with yoghurts and various things to have during the first liquid stage of my recovery. I was able to store this in the fridge back at the hotel. My dietician has been informative and quick to respond to any questions that we have had. Most details are given via WhatsApp which has been useful.

I was provided a letter to travel with my medication on the plane which was useful as I had 10 days worth of injections to take (to prevent blood clots).

Since returning home the WhatsApp team have been amazing. I have felt very taken care of and listened too.

Overall I feel that the Novamed team have a very smooth running system that is very well oiled in the best sense. It is clear they have done this a lot and the whole experience feels very professional and VIP. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Novamed for Bariatric Surgery - you would be in great hands. I’m so happy I choose NOVEMED for my journey! I can’t recommend them enough! The doctor, the WhatsApp team, the nurses , the hotel people, the transportation drivers all are professionals, helpful and nice people ! They help you with absolutely everything you need .. I been there with my husband and my 2y old son and they made sure all of us are safe and comfortable . They checked on me all the time before and after surgery and made sure I’m doing good ! I recommend them more than 100%

I went for a gastric sleeve October 2022. From the moment I enquired to now (6 months post op) I have had constant guidance and reassurance.
The whole experience has been a very good one nothing was too much trouble to sort out and my companion stayed with me at no extra cost.
My surgeon visited me everyday while in the hospital as did my dietician, the nurses were very attentive and the hospital clean and organised.
I'm so happy with my experience my husband is now booked to have his sleeve in May.
