We've had both of our cats insured with Only Paws and I genuinely couldn't be happier with the service we've received.
The policies have always represented excellent value for money, but it's when you actually need to make a claim that you find out just how good an insurance company really is.
Following some recent veterinary treatment for one of our cats, the claims process has been incredibly straightforward, with payment agreed quickly and without any unnecessary fuss.

Do not buy this insurance
Do not bother buying this insurance. It was pointless, everything I claimed for wasn't covered, for varying reasons and the illnesses were nothing out of the ordinary and NOT pre-existing. Was also be told after she died that cremation costs were also excluded. You get what you pay for!

It is common practice in the insurance industry to have a policy excess deduction and most pet insurance companies do not cover cremation costs.

I had only had my policy 18months and unfortunately my cat became very poorly. Only Paws made it very simple to claim and either pay the vet directly or reimburse me directly within a few days of the claim. They were available to chat when I needed advice. Although I wasn’t fully reimbursed their explained why in detail for me. For example excesses and take home medication. Would definitely use this company again for other pets.

An unexpected illness took us to the vets, this required putting in a claim I paid the excess to the vet got the invoice and started a claim, it was so simple, straightforward and easy to understand. About a week later I had an email to say the vet had been paid the rest of the bill it couldn't be any easier.

I sent an email to only paws as I needed some help on how to make a claim.
With 15 minutes I had a young man ( sorry I didn't catch his name ) on the phone giving all information that I needed. He was very helpful and clear in explaining the process.

Pet insurance is designed to cover new, unexpected conditions that arise after cover starts, so pre-existing conditions or symptoms that were present before the policy began aren’t covered.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently, we’re unable to offer annual premium payments, so our policies are paid monthly by Direct Debit. There’s no extra charge for paying this way, and it works as a subscription rather than a finance agreement, so it won’t impact your credit score.
When your renewal comes through, you’re under no obligation to continue and can cancel online or with customer service if you decide the policy is no longer right for you. We are also very proud that there are no fees for any changes made at any point online or direct.
