Card blocked since July 22
My card has been blocked since July 22, preventing me from accessing my own funds despite my full cooperation.
Timeline:
July 20: I loaded the card twice with $500. Both deposits were accepted.
July 21: I received a merchant refund, which was credited without issue.
July 22: My first purchase attempt was declined because the card had been blocked. I immediately called customer service, opened a ticket, answered all verification questions, and was told the card would be unlocked within 5 business days.
No one contacted me during that period.
July 30: After calling again, I was informed for the first time that they required a selfie and photos of my government ID. Nobody had previously contacted me by phone or email to request these documents. I submitted them the same day and was promised the card would be unlocked within 3 business days.
August 1: Although my card was blocked and I could not access my money, PayPower had no problem charging its monthly fee from the same account.
August 3: I called again and was simply told to wait.
August 6: I called once more after the promised delay had expired. The only update was that my documents had been attached to my ticket. I was also told that phone support could do nothing further and that I had to communicate by email. I immediately emailed asking when my card would be unlocked and whether any additional information was required. I have received no reply.
I have had to initiate every follow-up myself. I have received no explanation, no resolution date, and no meaningful updates while being denied access to my own money.
I request that my card be unlocked immediately, that I receive a clear explanation for this excessive delay, confirmation whether any further information is required, and a firm resolution date. Ticket number: 713392
