My cat was bitten by a dog and needed emergency attention. Ended up having to have surgery - it was touch and go.
I could not have asked for better care for my little lady. The vet that dealt with her and did the surgery was absolutely amazing. Kind, caring attentive and also fantastic at providing emotional support when difficult decisions had to be made. I couldn't ask for better care. Every person that came into contact with my girl were fantastic and there was not a moment where I was worried about the care being provided.
I would highly recommend. Do not assume that because it is a charity your animal will not get the care it would with a normal vet - too many times I have heard this and my experience over the weekend couldnt be further from the truth. All staff were amazing I couldnt fault them at all.
My little fur baby is now home and on the road to recovery. Thank you so much for all that you have done for her. You are all amazing

The work that Pdsa do for animals is over and above but things have changed drastically. They’re not allowed to do biopsies blood tests to determine what it is. That’s wrong with the animal. They can only use their Fast experience as a vet to guess what it is that’s wrong with your animal now as it feels the government have intervened and stopped external treatment so you may as well just get a phone call from a qualified vet because it works out the same as seeing the animal it’s all guess work now and they say that things are supposed to work for the Best. I feel sorry for the Pdsa veterinary surgeons who have qualified at university to do a job and can only do half of it still there are there to dish out medication and helping everywhere they can for that I am internally grateful.

I can’t thank the team at PDSA Oldbury enough for the care they gave my cat, Bambam.
I brought Bambam in at around 11am for an emergency check-up because he was very unwell and I didn’t know what was wrong with him. I was told there was a possibility he had an obstruction and that he would need further tests, so I had to leave him in their care.
Only around 15 minutes after I got home, one of the nurses called me and talked me through everything. I was understandably overwhelmed and worried, but I honestly cannot fault how quickly the team acted to find out what was wrong and get Bambam the treatment he needed.
I made the decision to self-discharge Bambam at around 6pm, and he was sent home with medication and pain relief. He is now home with me, getting lots of love, cuddles and rest. ❤️
The care, communication and speed of treatment really meant so much to me at a very stressful time. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who looked after my boy.
I did make a contribution to the charity, and I will definitely be making more donations in the future. PDSA does such an important job for people and their beloved pets, and I’m so grateful they were there when Bambam needed them.
Thank you so much to everyone at PDSA Oldbury for looking after my boy. 🐾❤️

Trust me on this fact: we will never forgive you for this. Your company, and especially your branch, are killers. You do not have common sense, you do not keep your word when advising a customer to do something, and you do nothing. If I could get your doors closed right now, I would, because trust me, you are killers. What you did to my animal, you wouldn't do that to a baby or a family member, I'm sure of it. You make me sick. You guys don't have no compassion, no empathy, nothing. I hope you guys experience not eating food and drink; then you will realize what you made my animal go through.I know for a fact, and my gut feeling tells me, if I went somewhere else, my animal would still be alive today—maybe a bit of a long treatment process or recovery, but alive. I know my animal and what my animal proved to me this week and this weekend. He was strong and ready to fight, but he didn't have a proper helping hand until it was nearly too late. My dedicated home nursing—backed closely by my neighbour who is a retired veterinary surgeon, and supported by the high-level professional knowledge of my own family members, independent vets, and other individual experts in this exact industry—successfully dropped his severe, acute pyrexia (fever) from a burning 41°C down to a perfect, gold-standard normothermic baseline of 38°C on Sunday night, proving the infection was highly treatable [FC3]. Everything I did at home with his nursing was completely and utterly perfect [FC3, FC4]. He was a warrior who had a retired surgeon, my family, and other industry individuals helping me work so hard with him that weekend so we could get him grooming himself again. Yet you guys said you are low on money and you need donations, but you can pay £154,209 for somebody's salary. Maybe you should use some of that money for common sense, compassion, and clinical training. I have spoken to professional vets, my retired surgeon neighbour, and different individual people in this industry, and they have confirmed that they would have done things completely differently—especially at the very beginning and during that critical Monday afternoon treatment with the PDSA [FC3] That is why you are killers. If you look at all your other reviews, a lot of people are saying the same thing about your branch especially, letting down the PDSA name, because I don't think this would have happened in London Thamesmead. Please take this review seriously, and trust me, every word I meant from the heart. You shouldn't have partnership vets working with you.The question you guys need to think about: if you had been dealing with a baby or a family member, you would have done everything you can in your power to make sure they stay alive, I'm very sure of it. Not every animal has the same diagnosis, so you need to stop throwing random provisional diagnoses around like cancer or FIP thinking it could be that when you haven't done a proper definitive diagnostic test or couldn't be bothered to do anything until the last minute [FC3].By completely failing to admit or start his fluid therapy on Thursday or at the correct time, your neglect caused him to rapidly lose physical body mass [FC3]. Because he was left dry for days, his blood vessels contracted and became much smaller, functioning like a shrunken sponge [FC3]. When you finally initiated an IV fluid drip on Monday, you failed to adjust the infusion rate to accommodate his smaller, contracted circulatory system [FC3]. Because you pumped a massive volume of water too fast into those shrunken vessels, the intense hydrostatic pressure forced the liquid to leak straight out through the vessel walls into his tissues, resulting in fatal acute volume overload (hypervolemia) [FC3].Especially for animals coming from a different vet, and that animal has been on an IV fluid drip all night, you should do an X-ray or ultrasound immediately upon transfer to check if there's any fluid affecting the animal anywhere in the body [FC3]. If you do find fluid in the body, then you can have another plan of action [FC3]. Even if you have to do a fluid session, you need to know how much you are actually doing [FC3]. You would know if you need to drain a little bit or put the animal immediately in an oxygen therapy tank because of dyspnoea (breathing distress) and severe tachypnoea (rapid breathing) [FC3]. That's why you need to know how to adapt and have a different action plan [FC3]. Instead, you left a continuous, heavy IV drip running unchecked for 6 hours just to match an administrative closing schedule, causing fatal pleural effusion (fluid flooding the chest cavity and secondary ascites (fluid pooling around the stomach and belly area) [FC3].The last thing I'm going to leave on is you are killers.

PDSA cowplain. Do not listen to you when you speak. They say we'll send you a number to book an appointment. But then send it when the line is closed. Absolutely disgusting unhelpful organisation. I don't know who runs this fraud but they need to be sacked

I had two cats, Muxima and Kitaba, and from day one the team at PDSA Bow has been fantastic. From the reception staff to the nurses and veterinarians, everyone has always been kind, polite, professional, and caring.
They treated my cats with kindness, dignity, and respect at all times and were always willing to help and offer support whenever needed. Their compassion and dedication gave me great confidence that Muxima and Kitaba were receiving the best possible care.
I would like to thank the entire team at PDSA Bow for their outstanding service, professionalism, and genuine care. Your support has meant a great deal to me and my cats.
Thank you

Great veterinarians, were thoughtful. Explained everything amazingly and had my pets best interests at heart. They were wonderful with my pet and his needs! They were right on time with his appointment and were really quick with getting the meds he needed together. Wonderful experience and would definitely advise to a friend or stranger.

The Hendon pdsa is a friendy helpful clinic . The vets are lovely and helpful and supportive regarding my pt care and treatment, being a pensioner it’s a worry about paying high vet bills in the private sector, so appreciate the pdsa for giving the care they do for people on lower incomes .
